Nice service until the closing date

I discovered a couple of issues in the construction and service. The Pulte provided a decent quality of service until the closing date. After signing on all the required paper, my request or inquiry email is not well responded. Follow-up appointments extremely hard to schedule. Pulte mortgage didn't do their job thoroughly, failing to pay to insurance company. No show for follow-up service, etc.

Project manager tried very hard to stay on top of crews, but fell short in drywall and paint. Drywall was not installed properly and we tried to hang a ceiling fan only to have 5 nails pop out in the ceiling. Down the hallway you could see the drywall bow and swerve in and out. Paint in carpet, across tiles and in the grout; which was never sealed, not even in the wet rooms.

This purchase has been a very disappointing experience. I owned Pulte before and that's why I had some comfort purchasing another Pulte home. However, that won't happen again. My very first impression was when I walked into my master bathroom on my first day as an owner...there was urine on my toilet seat. Unbelievable. Additionally, I have come to find that the quality of worksmanship is just not up to measure commensurate with the price paid. As a single homeowner, I was very impressed with the level of commitment with which I was treated. Not knowing much about home building or the process, my questions were answered quickly and in terminology that I could understand. No question was a "dumb question"! When contacting customer care manager or office I’m always left feeling that I’m not important to them. Too much reliance on email communication and cell phone contacts should be mandatory. The basic tone is we’re here to help with issues but you’ll just have to wait until we get back with you and not how you would like (call) but how we like (email) especially when explicitly asking for a phone call when email is ineffective due to needing to discuss issue further.

The kitchen is great. Everything else is good but not as good quality as we were expecting with what we paid for it. It looks very nice at first glance, but once you move in you notice so many details that were missed (like bathroom counters half an inch away from the wall on one side, etc.). In the building process, a lot of nice and assuring words were said that did not necessarily always happen in the end.

I feel that some short cuts were taken. The sheet rock wasn’t good quality. The master bathroom shower is poorly built and the frame is of poor quality. The construction manager Sefano is extremely good in taking care of issue that he can.

Struggle to get repairs completed! When repairs are finally made, the repairs are shoddy and careless. Things go from bad to worse when trying to get things fixed under warranty.

I have had, among other issues, 5 issues with electrical wiring and switches. Some of these have tripped circuit breakers. I have zero confidence that the home is wired safely or correctly.

I should have been able to have a 5-Star experience if only I wouldn't have found discrepancies such as sheetrock tape coming through the paint in my dining room, screws that won't go all the way into the hinges in the master bedroom, water spouts that terminate at my front door entrance, and bath tubs that flooded. The worst part is that after weeks of having reported this, only the tubs were fixed because the Plumbing contractor has been more responsive than Pulte. Everyday we are discovering a new issue with house. Its been only a month and nails are coming out, thermostat is not working, bell is not working. Its been a very bad experience.
