It’s taken quite a while to get my warranty issues resolved and it’s difficult to get return calls. I have requested 3 warranty issues be resolved in mid November and only one has been fixed.

I have purchased 5 brand new homes over the past 30 years. Lots of experience with various builders. THIS IS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH PULTE AND IT WILL BE MY LAST. I'LL SEE TO IT THAT MY VOICE IS HEARD TO INFLUENCE OTHERS AGAINST PURCHASING A PULTE HOME. See below for the details. My Pulte home has THE WORST initial build quality I have ever experienced amongst the 5 different builders from whom I purchased 5 brand new homes over the last 30 years. Issues with Pulte Home

Pulte does not standby their product. Response time to warranty issues related to heating, plumbing and appliances is slow. You can wait more than a week for an initial service visit and the repairs can take weeks to complete. Pulte does not seem to be concerned with the quality of the components they use to build the houses and they do not take any responsibility for the individual components such as the furnace, appliances, and windows, etc. The homeowner has to resolve any issues with these components directly with the manufacturers.

Hello, This is second time we are building a new home. This time it was from a big national builder-Pulte Homes. We liked their open concept plan and we think we got a good price for the house. But the build experience was bad. Lot of dried up drywall dust on the floor and windows, it was not cleaned up well especially on window frames. They had missed some key things we had purchased-no garage opening machine and keypads, flat panel tv package etc. The walk through and closing was all rushed because of issues with county inspections so we couldn't do a comprehensive check before closing. ...

the sale representative and field manager are great people. They are responsive. The building is high quality and get a very good rating from our private inspector. There are some small issues with the interior cosmetics though.

We love our new home, but as first time buyers we know now what to look for in our next purchase. Things like vanities having no drawers that pull out, walls that are not straight or humps in the flooring. Overall it’s a sound structure and we got what we paid for.

Love how well built the house is structurally. The finish work is lacking however. Paint spots, overspray, rough baseboards etc... The final 2-3 weeks seemed rushed - and it shows.

Overall process was smooth and organized. Lack of skilled trades is the real issue. Construction quality seems high, the finish work was rushed and very average. Once taking possession responsiveness has declined. Issues aren't large ones but once signing off we certainly don't seem quite as important to Pulte

If I could give no start for the workmanship, I would. The workmanship needs to a major improvement. Compare to other national builder, Pulte has proven to be fallen short. We have experience with another builder which was great experience from the moment we made the purchase of the lot, to the workmanship and the details of the aesthetics. These little details are very important to home buyers. There is a culture of shoddy workman ship that has developed. Almost everyone who worked on our home had to come back to cleanup or redo something they did. Forget about the home warranty department. They don't respond. I will never buy from a National builder again.

Most of the house is great, and the process is great. Moving into and finding a lot of small things that weren't perfect is understandable. We are but humans. The process of getting Management to fix small details takes forever its been 3 months since I moved in and no progress has been made to fix things.

Structurally our home appears good. Fine details are really terrible. We just gave up on complaining because it never got addressed. Even when they came to fix it multiple times. When you choose Pulte, you get a great neighborhood, but not a great house. (To the point when others come in and point out the bad looking fine details.)

The experience didn’t feel personal. For the amount we are paying for the house I expected better communication and follow up from Pulte’s end. I also expected better results from the vendors you used. It felt as if they didn’t care and our home wasn’t really a priority for them with how careless they were with some of their work. Pulte could do a better job with following up on your vendors worksmanship.

I spent $8k+ to upgrade all the cabinets to maple solid wood. However, it turns out they gave me laminate cabinets. Tried to contact customer. Never got any reply. Stay away!!!
