In the beginning our experience was much more positive. Some of the employees really seem to care but the end result is sloppy trade work and lack of responsiveness to seeing issues to completion. AT best Pulte needs to add 4-6 to it's build time. Trades often do not show and many do such a poor jib it's amazing that they continue to hire them. I think they underestimate their buyers and often patch these houses together. Issues are addressed but not acted on. Trying to get the punch list completed requires endless phone calls and extreme frustration. The GC is great but it seems that his hands are tied as well. They start a project but do not see it through moving their handyman from house to house without completing anything. Items that need to be replaced have been "ordered" and are on "order" . I had to hire and pay my own handyman to fix several things ASAP. Extremely disappointed with some of the quality of work. Pulte needs to slow it down and care more about their product or they will end up like Ryan homes. Word of mouth is very powerful. ... More

No doubt that Pulte homes are high quality homes and the way the explain about the home is real worth .

The home buying process started off well and the house itself is nice, and there have been some quality people at Pulte whom we have encountered, but the problem we had near closing marred out overall experience. We were originally told the closing date would be around 5-6 months after we signed our contract, and we tried to communicate that closer to the six-month date is what we wanted. However, the house was built faster than planned. Normally this would be a good thing, but it wasn't for us because we couldn't move in that early because we were already on a rental lease at our old residence. A closing date was provided to us by the builder, and we tried to have it moved later by about 10 days. Not only did Pulte refuse, but actually then turned around and changed the closing date by pushing it about 10 days sooner. We tried to reason with Pulte, but during this time Pulte started delaying in its responses to us, which caused us a lot of stress during the time. It took about 2.5 weeks before we heard back with Pulte's final decision: no, they wouldn't change the closing date for us (unless we wanted to pay $400/day). The delayed response by Pulte meant that I couldn't lock in a mortgage rate at an optimal time, meaning I lost out on what would have been a better rate than I got. Because of Pulte's unprofessionalism and lack of responsiveness, it's going to cost us potentially thousands over the term of the mortgage. One would think that paying several hundreds of thousands of dollars for a home would include a highly professional level of service, but this was not true for us when working with Pulte. ... More

Love our new home and had a great experience building it with Pulte. We lived close by while it was being built and continually popped by to see it! The job site was always clean and looked great. That might seem like something small but I felt like Pulte was taking good care of something so meaningful to me.

Excellent responsiveness to consumer’s after-purchase problems or needs.

Drive way is cracking after 7 day of move in , most of the issues that we pointed out before the closing never got fix , tile floor is uneven, trim work is really poor , caulking in some areas looks like a 5 years old did it , you can see where on the walls where the paint was touch up , a lots of areas with a rough texture , we had a irrigation leak for almost a month , over spray in windows on the outside , trims in the house not painted right , overall a bunch of little stuff that will take my time out of work so I can be there for the bunch of vendors that will be going in and out my house , a big inconvenience because no one from pulte will Pay me for that time that I’ll be missing ... Such a great company to work with, with all of the advancements in modern technology its becoming quite obvious that the level of customer service and personal touch has suffered greatly in a lot of businesses these days. Pulte is absolutely not one of them, they are very friendly and accommodating to their customers and their needs. They have great communication as well as pride in what they do. I would recommend this company to anyone!

6 weeks after closing we still have outstanding items from Weather list. Our Field Manager keeps promising to resolve but then never does.

You can't have a quality product if you don't hire skilled employee's and sub-contractors. They make excuses but never get it fixed.

I would never build another home with Pulte. The people are nice and the paperwork processes were modern, but the home itself has the cheapest materials and fixtures, with little to no attention to detail. Uneven floors, lumpy yard, hacked cabinets, 40gal water tank for 4 bed, 3,000+ sq. ft. And after all the months of construction seems as if it was only broom swept.

Overall the building experience was positive, they finished the home in the time they promised, quality of the build was good, some small details that were fixed. In summary my experience has been positive.

From our first contact with Lamar in the sales office, then loan approval with Pulte Mortgage, to the design center with Natalie and throughout the quality construction with Jim, our process was top notch. Everyone is truly an expert in their field, making the process really fun. Congratulations to Pulte for a great team of employees.

Overall I think I have a beautiful home and I'm happy with my purchase, but I feel the push at the end compromised the work. I don't even fault the project manager, I fault the company. Many details at the end were missed and in turn, I am now stuck with trying to fix everything. That is frustrating when you spend $650k on a home to have to go in right away and fix things. I also have to say I never understood why so many people parked in there driveways. I know understand. The garages are so small that most vehicles (in the Pacific NW) don't fit. I pretty much have to touch the wall to get my vehicle into the garage. That is a major design flaw and renders my garage almost useless. Rob and Sandy are great to deal with and made the experience better. I just wish the company gave them more breathing room to really execute without feeling the pinch. All phases of the home building process not only met but exceeded our expectations. Sales associate Michelle M. was patient and very professional in answering all our questions and pointing out alternatives we had not considered.. Our construction manager, Sean C. also continued this approach by patiently answering our questions and providing regular updates through out the process. A very positive experience overall.

Even though we lived 900 miles away during the building process, Pulte kept us well informed of progress, including weekly photos and commentary on what they had done. Every person who contracted us or we contacted was very cordial and easy for us to communicate with. Since we had never had a house built before, we were dreading the process. We were very pleased with the entire process and the final outcome.

Buying a home from pulte homes was by far the best decision I ever made. There were extremely professional and helpful every step of the process. If I ever change homes I will make sure that my next house is also build my Pulte also.

Craftsmanship leaves a lot to be desired I can not rate responsiveness because I’m still making a list and have not submitted yet but it would not let me leave it blank.

We closed on our new home on Halloween, 10/31/19, after doing a walk through a few days prior. Closing on Pulte's schedule has turned out to be a mistake. We were assured that all open items would be addressed expeditiously. Although a few issues have been taken care of, the majority has not. So we are apparently no longer a priority as Pulte constructs new homes around us. Our excitement about moving into a new community in a brand new home has been dampened by Pulte's lack of professionalism and apparent disinterest in making things right. Very good communication between autumn and us. Any issues she fixed right away. House is great so far

This our second Pulte home and Pulte did not disappoint. We had a great experience every step of the way.
