Our experience building with Pulte Homes has been amazing. From sales to building to closing, they went above and beyond to make sure we were always satisfied and happy. They get five stars in our book!

If you have any knowledge on building a home do it yourself if you can noone else's work looks better than your own.

The biggest disappointment has probably been the paint. We closed on October 23rd and we've already seen areas where the paint is chipped, wasn't applied thoroughly or wasn't taken all the way to the corners. While I understand it's not high quality paint, I personally expected a better paint for the sizable investment we made with Pulte. We will now have to hire someone to fix these issues which we felt should have been done in the first place. I would also add we have a few areas in the floors that have been pushed up. Everything was good, we've been here for a month, I wish they had told us to change the gas service over to us, other than that the actual home has been great.

It was great working with the Sales team and although it was tough to bargain and pay a fair price, the premium we paid did not give us something out of this world. The end to end Sales and Service experience was good but the loan experience was a little painful as there were last minute request, the staff's inability to understand complex foreign statement and transactions and all this leading to running back and forth with the title company on the very last day. We were very clear on the closing day but the due to the lag by the loan company we were delayed by 3 days. Ofcourse there is a area for lot of improvement but I do not want to sound too negative as my overall experience with the house has been great so far! ... More

When I receive the keys, the walls are cracked. The doors are cracked. The garage doors are wrong.

I chose Martins Landing first for the location as it is close to route 93, Wilmington and route 28 which brings you to Reading. I am a single person so I chose The Copley. It is spacious because of the open concept, but the bedroom is also spacious, the bathroom is large and my den gives me enough room to accommodate someone with a sleep sofa which is what I chose. I love my unit and would recommend it to anyone.

Field manager was great but after closing, several requests for repairs went 100% unanswered, which we have never experienced from other developers before. Very disappointed. Until now, we still have not received a call or email regarding requests. So poor.

For easy process just have documents ready when they ask for them , to speed up your purchase.

Everything was good. Except loan service from Pulte home.

Follow up to correct issues after closing is slow. Would at least appreciate a periodic phone call or email status report on outstanding items. Has been >2 months since reported by home owner...a growing concern.

We are very please with our Pulte home. The entire staff was great to work with.

All of the Pulte folks tried their best. And actually the sub contractors were friendly and responsive, and fun to talk to. The trouble is when they finished their respective job there was little or no responsibility placed on them to leave the job completed in a workmanship like manner which includes leaving the job site clean and hazard free. I thought that there was little or no accountability placed on the sub contractors unless I complained. Then, perhaps, my concerns would be heard. I would be afraid to not do my own supervision.

We purchased in Longleaf at Oakland. Our builder was with us every step of the way. Standing out were Crystal and Dyanna, and wow these ladies are amazing! They really care about you as a buyer and will do everything they can to help!!! Jim and Matt and Shane also all did great to help us finish our dream home and everyone made sure we were 100% satisfied when we went to closing. No detail passed over, no stone unturned! This builder is who you want if you want a quality home with wonderful warranty! David with warranty has also been great to work with resolving those little things that you do not notice until living in the home. All of our growing pains are being addressed and we just could not be any happier with our purchase with Pulte Homes! Thanks Pulte! We love you! ... More

I can preface this with "should have gotten everything in writing", but in the moment easier said than done. Our experience started off great with a sales person telling us everything we wanted to hear, immediately after signing to start construction the experience began to degrade. Communication in the beginning was horrendous. All of the meetings we were told would be scheduled(in regards to construction) never were, unless we called endlessly to schedule them. The field managers were great during the build process but the quality of work was sub par. It appears that all of the contracts were given to the lowest bidder. "every" piece of visual detail was awful. Spackle was used as a universal fix for everything. Trim falling off the wall? Just lean it back up, no one will notice. To say the process was stressful would be an understatement. All in all once you get in the home and either repair issues yourself or just get over the small things, the home is nice, but if I had to do it over again I likely wouldn't have gone with a pulte new construction home. ... I have met some great Pulte people who have made the whole process easy. Anything that needed correcting was done in a timely manner. We love our new home .Kudos to Courtney, Jennifer and Ron.

I was shocked at the condition of my wood floors when closing. There should have been some type of covering on them.. The mud was horrible and it took me 3 cleaning to get it all up. There was paint on the floor and also on some of the dark wood. There were screws under the cabinets that had to be pulled out and holes were made. the calk on the fire place is a disgrace. The front door had a large gap and cold air was coming through, the garage entrance to the house would not even close unless I through my whole body weight against the door.

When I found out that Pulte was the builder I did not have high hopes and Pulte did not disappoint. The house was wrong from they day the footers were dug incorrectly which is an issue I had to point out to the Field Manager myself. There isn’t enough space to go into detail with all the issues that we encountered during this build. I fully expect there to be major structural issues with the house within the 10 year structural warranty. The Field Supervisor was replaced and I will say that things went much more smoothly after that. On a positive note I will say that Pulte used good quality materials (Schlute waterproofing/Pex pluming/hot water recirc pump) but the craftsmanship was WAY under what I would expect in a house in this price range. ... Our home got delayed due to inclement weather and unfavorable soil conditions for months. Minor items requested in the initial contract were not fulfilled. Those issues were brought up during quality walks. Most items were taken care at the end. The quality of drywall is poor - thin walls and easily dented. The trim along all the home was not cut properly. Every door edge is rough and even injured my child. The field manager's response is that Pulte is interested in making profits - buying a product that is cheaper than providing quality finish. Plumbing soldering was not performed on one of the shower pipes - resulting in flooding through drywall. Two window decorative shutters do not stay in place - needed plastic screws replaced. Our vehicles barely fit in 3 car garages - why could not they make the entry a few inches wider especially many residents have minivans and pick up trucks. My previous 15 year old house built by Pulte has better quality with materials and workmanship than the latest homes I see here in Detroit and Cleveland areas. Since Pulte builds at prime locations that are very attractive to families, many people tend to overlook some of the quality issues. But as discussed in private phone chat groups among owners, most people are not happy with Pulte homes and their attitude to own up to cheap builds while charging premium dollars on lots and builds. ... Great location. The townhome finished with my requested upgrades perfectly, and was “on time”. Since moving in, there have been fit and finish issues with the construction that need work (missing caulking in kitchen leading to bugs in the house). And the continued construction outside the house each morning at 7 limits any opportunity for sleep. I knew the latter though going into the purchase. Dimensions of the hallway/stairs make your furniture choices very limited. Something I didn’t consider pre purchase. Otherwise a great place. I receive many compliments on how nice the place is. Looks great from the outside, and neighbors are quiet. I’m happy with the purchase given the location and what the townhome has to offer, but it falls short from a solid 4 or 5 stars because of initial build issues, noise from construction, and narrow hallways ...
