Lots of minor construction issues

We've had tons of issues caused by contractors taking shortcuts and spending more time hiding mistakes than fixing them. Every time we've reached out to Pulte, they've taken care of it and made it right. Just wished we didn't have to.

Home was purchased and I was assured that a Pulte person was in charge of making sure subcontractors did things right. Many items were caught on final walk through and it’s now two months later and still waiting for cabinets to be painted where there was clearly poor workmanship. Several other items took forever to address and was very obvious the painters and trades cared little as to the work they put in. At a price point way over 400000 you would think you could expect better. I would advise NOT to close until all is corrected. Two month and still waiting for painter on cabinets. ...

Great value, quality construction, poor follow up with issues needing fixed after closing

Pulte makes a great house that we really love that's energy efficient and a style we like. Responsiveness to emails and calls was great prior to closing. However, after about a week of living in the new house, we had a list of about 5 things needing fixed. After addressing these issues with the construction manager, there was no urgency or communication on when they would be fixed. After multiple contacts with him, it ultimately took going to the Pulte sales rep and having him crack the whip to get the construction manager to fix just one of the issues. And now its been almost a month ...

Nails are poking through the siding. The gutters were installed improperly. My patio concrete was broken. My floors aren't level and need to be removed and replaced. My walls weren't sanded before being painted. There are zero smooth corners in the house. I have "orange peel" all over my walls and ceilings. My windows aren't hung level. There are very few 90 degree corners in my house. The trusses in my attic are covered in MOLD. My shower was installed with broken tiles and a shoddy repair was done, the entire shower needs to he ripped out and redone. My ducts werent attached to the vents ...

We have had a very pleasant experience with Pulte. With any builder, there will be some bumps in the road along the way. We ran into a couple, and Pulte got everything resolved. We absolutely love our new home!

I always like Pulte homes floor plans because plans are designed keeping customer needs in minds and plans are suitable for all ages. I like Pulte site plans too , it provides bigger lots and nice backyards, and home elevations are modern and nice. But quality of workmanship varies from property to property due to lots of third party vendors ( multiple companies works with Pulte for same Community) . I observed same plan , same upgrades installed and constructed different way and quality levels are different, field officers response varies from client to client. Experience with Sales Office ...

When the contractors came back to finish touch-ups, I feel they gave better quality and didn't rush - they did a VERY good job. There are drops of paint that stand out in the overall paint job of the house. Upon closer inspection, stain on the stairs has drip marks and the hand rail didn't look like it had a complete stain at the top end. In the MBath the one side of the molding wasn't painted. The overflow holes' covers in the bathroom sinks are scratched up and I assume are old/re-used. Failed radon test and wasn't compensated enough to cover the fee for fixing it. Guest BR gets VERY ...

We love the location and the final product. There were definitely bumps along the way including an immediate price decrease, right after we had purchased and locked in our price and problems with easements on our property that were not disclosed in the sales process.

I recently purchased a new condominium from Pulte Homes (Lofts at Reston Station) and it has been a nightmare. I hear every footstep from the upstairs neighbor, as well as other noise. Pulte staff promised that you would not hear noise from neighbors, but they refuse to complete a sound inspection or take measures to mitigate the noise.

Sparkle and shine up front, but not what you get by end of the process

A lot of promises up front, but a disappointing process. Poor workmanship, little attention to detail, disrespect for the property. All inside doors poor quality, cheapest, not solid, they are hollow. Phone calls not returned. Front yard landscaping had collapsed area next to driveway on closing day, and they installed two trees that are inappropriate selections for the size of the yard. Wish I had shopped around more.
