Quality workmanship is nowhere to be found in any phase of build. Contract for purchase was signed one year ago and still unfinished house (outside of house not painted, my guess is will never be caulked, yard is mud and rocks). Every phase of build appears to have been done by a blind two year old. House was just thrown together with attitude of just do it as cheaply as possible with as unskilled labor as is possible. The painting and drywall was awful. The order in which things were done makes no common sense. Why put down flooring before drywall work and painting are done? They sell you things (such as appliances) that they can't deliver. Knowing now one year later, what we are going thru, I could never recommend Pulte. I would love to have a face to face conversation in my (new) Pulte house with someone very high up in the Pulte organization to show them the kind of work that is being done in their name. This is my third Pulte Home and I the first I was able to choose my options and upgrades on so I thought it would be fun and exciting. Out first Pulte was a quality build and one previous buyers didn’t qualify for so we got a great bargain. The second was a no frills spec home and had a few issues, but Pulte took care of them. This home, the last Pulte I will ever buy, was a nightmare. The quality of materials and workmanship Is horrible and most issues were concealed by each next phase of construction rather than corrected. The trades never cleaned up, leaving rotting food and wrappers and even beer bottles on site daily. Pulte management admits to being held hostage by the trades and said if they complain about the work, the crews just won’t show up. The home was delivered 4 months late and filthy. After 2 days of cleaning, we replaced broken trim, fixed the texture and caulking issues and repainted with quality paint then moved in 13 months after signing our purchase agreement. The only pleasant part of buying this home was the Design Center. Gina was very knowledgeable and helpful and the options were plentiful. ... More

This house took 7 months longer to build than anticipated. Sloppy, dirty, incomplete work. Horrible attention to detail. I closed 2 months ago and there are still broken cabinets that need to be fixed and the microwave/oven combo is still MIA with no ETA. You have to beg for updates. Everything that I pointed out and placed blue tape on during the walk thru, either didn’t get done or I was told by Jose that nothing could be done about it. The things he promised to get fixed, never got fixed and they just went around and removed the blue tape but never fixed the items. I am a single mom who works full-time and I worked very hard for this house. I absolutely feel as though they are taking advantage of me by giving me a sloppy, incomplete house and just sitting on it knowing I don’t have time to hound them everyday for what should have been done in the first place. I am still scraping paint and grout off of tiles, handles, carpets, walls and fixtures that it doesn’t belong on. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. A collection full of lies, slander, insults to the personality and intelligence of the customer, I spent nearly a million dollars, my house lasted 24 months instead of 6 months , During this time, the Pulte managers in MN committed racial discrimination instead of apologizing. Eventually, instead of enjoying our first home in the land of dreams, we will carry a bag of pain and insults for the rest of our lives. This is my Pulte Experience for USA welcoming

I will not recommend anyone to buy pulte house , it would be better if you buy small builder house and save your money. Pulte is very bad and they don’t build quality house. Provide wrong in while booking and hide things at contract time.

Our family has purchased five Pulte homes in the past few years. Pulte has changed. Their mortgage company will tell you they will work with you on pricing but then not match a competitive bid. Construction was a disappointment from start to finish. Sub contractors did poor work and not mutch follow up by supervision. Pulte insisted on closing on a home that was not finished and very dirty. We are still trying to get warranty work done. I understand the times we are living in but that is no excuse for poor craftsmanship or Pulte saying there is nothing they can do about it. I wouldn’t recommend buying a Pulte Home and I question a lot of the most recent 5 star reviews, because myself and all my neighbors around me have the same opinion. If Pulte Homes focused more on building quality over quantity, plus picking the right sub contractors instead of sub par contractors, they wouldn’t have so many issues. Myself and my neighbors are very dissatisfied with how Pulte has handled follow ups, etc. We’ve been waiting for months after closing on various things like gutters, seeding our yards, appliances, etc. The only silver lining is after going through two unprofessional Field Managers, our current Field Manager, who I won’t name for the sake of privacy, actually does a great job and is very straight to the point, honest, and paints a clear picture of what the issues are and how to fix them. The Building Manager we’re currently working with needs to be promoted and could turn that company around from sub par to great. ... More

From day 1 it was poor craftsmanship and service. Literally not happy with any portion of this process. At this point I only view the structure (don't even feel comfortable calling it home) as an investment.

I would like a call from my builder.. no one will call me back after contacting them multiple times. This is super frustrating. And today I found out I have water damage in my home from the rain. I would not recommend Pulte.

It was difficult deciding what title to give this review. Not for a lack of options, but because we had a hard time identifying which horrible detail stood out to us the most. The initial sales agent was wonderful but that's as far as it went. From that point onward, it was nothing but deceit, issues, and overall shoddy workmanship. There was little to no communication and no follow through. My wife was discriminated against in not being included in communications nor were any decisions directed toward her. The quality of materials used in the construction were that of defective remnants that you would find at some discount outlet. No one seemed to know what was going on or how to do their job. The foremen spent more time in their trailers (if present at all) than walking the houses to oversee the jobs and quality. When we brought attention to the terrible quality and deplorable workmanship, we were told that, "this is standard" and we have to accept it. To what horrible standard is Pulte building my house? It looks like a child built it. We were also told that workmanship is suffering because of the labor shortage due to the pandemic. Why is it our problem that Pulte/TrustBuilders can't hire, or is too cheap to hire, people who know what they're doing? The whole reason we bought new-construction is because we didn't want a home we had to refurbish. In the end, it didn't matter because we have to do just as much work on this house to fix everything Pulte failed at delivering. Even working with Pulte's warranty department, they are taking cheap shortcuts and sub-par contractors instead of doing the job right. Don't go with them, Very Bad experience

Worst experience, poor quality.

Pulte Sales misled me early on, costing me thousands of dollars. Low quality standards evidenced inside and outside of house. Contractors show no pride in their work, or interest in doing a good quality job. Pulte construction shows no interest in quality. They are incented to put the house up as fast as possible so Pulte can collect your money ASAP!!!

The entire experience was awful. The title company was awful, the y process was terrible and there was rarely communication, the warranty department doesn’t respond to my emails. Workers don’t show up when they’re supposed to. I had a better experience with Lennar and that’s saying a lot

House was not complete on closing date. Lack of communication. Issues still unresolved 5 months later.

I closed on my home at the end of Feb 2022, and I still have outstanding items that have not been completed. These were detected in January of 2022. Sad that Pulte rushes to sell home that are not complete and with such poor workmanship. Field managers are over worked and when fix is needed they resort to threats to the homeowner.

I signed my contract to build my house with Pulte on November 23, 2020. The building permit was granted on around March 2021 due to County backlog. But the house did not completed until 2/28/2022, almost a year later. What was really bothered me that my house build permit was granted 3 or 4 month before other houses in the block. But it did not get windows before other houses. I got the weekly update from the building manager stated that the widow order was delayed due to nation labor shortages. I know that was not true because other houses that was built later received their widows before my house. Also during the building process, I inspected the frame and drywall inspections and reported my findings to the building manager. But did not see those findings addressed until the final phase. Thus fixes were rushed and the building quality is very very very bad. The closing date was re-scheduled almost a week later to allow them time to fix the issues. However, on the morning of the final walkthrough, they still doing the paint touch up. I almost wanted to re-schedule the closing because the build manager ensured me and my wife that he will have the work done when we return from the closing meeting. Three hours later my wife and I came back from the closing office with my new house set. The key can not open the door because they gave us the wrong set of keys. I had to call the building manager and my sell representative came with the master key to let me in. The next day, we carefully re-inspected the house and found so many issues. The living room ceiling has about 2-inch gap, the kitchen double door wall crocked, the kitchen sink windows drywall was improperly installed, one of the kitchen cabinet cracked, the master bedroom widow crocked, the bedroom 2 window drywall was improperly installed, the paint job was messy, and the floor titles have so many holes. The more we look around the house, the more defects we found. Comparing this new house with the other two houses we built in the past, this one way behind on the quality. The house its build with cheap materials and there is no engineer building your house, the people who build it they dont know how to read drawings at all. Turns to be that your Libe of property its different because when they install the sod and sprinklers they installed all wrong., you dont want to close until they finish your house right but they force you to do it or they will sell your house to another person, they only want your Money. On top of that, they are selling the house way more expensive that the market value, so when you get the appraisal the house isn’t that worht it and you have to put more money down. I will never get a Pulte Homes again, their warranty department its even worse, its a total Joke! ... More

Terrible experience. So dissatisfied

It has been the worst experience of purchasing a new home ever. Had to get an attorney involved when we were told we did not qualify. Then the workers were told do not fix anything because our home was going to be sold as is. The appliances look like they are second hand they are so bad. Custom cabinets look awful. The whole house was painted with some sort of flat paint (I believe it may be primer). As we were told they could not get paint. My toilets had poop skid marks in them because they left it open for the trades people to use. When we asked for construction trash to be removed it was tossed up on a 12 ft high retaining wall (as if we would not notice). My carpet was trashed by the painters and other people. My gates were ruined by overspray and my backyard trashed where the plaster and paint contractors empties their guns in my yard. Now we are being told they are not going to fix many of these issues. Then to be told by an employee what do I expect for a 500,000 home. I have heard a lot of things over my lifetime but I was never so appalled and insulted in my lifetime. I guess when his bosses told him we were not qualified he felt he had free rein to talk to us anyway he wanted. Then lie about it when confronted. This has been a nightmare from day one. We are a young family moving to tampa from Orlando and were sold a house with an approximate closing date of 8/2021. We forgave many other better products because of this said closing date. Pulte off the back told us we were pushed back to 12/2021 and then later to 2/2022. Due to Current market standards we understood. Once the build process started we never really had any good feeling. The construction manager never had a control on the build process and was giving false timeline expectations. The build quality was poor the workmanship was bad and the construction team couldn’t seem to get a grip on all the problems we were pointing out to them. They cancelled closing and rescheduled it within 10 days of their own given date not once but twice. I had to vacate my rental with my family and live in an air bnb. I had to reschedule my finance closing. After we closed we were handed a poorly finished house with multiple unfinished sidings and paint jobs and I couldn’t believe a multi billion dollar company was ok with putting their name on such a product. The carpet had been put in earlier during construction and even an upgrade felt really cheap and was immensely dirt. My sons are both asthamatics and were falling sick on a daily basis so much so that I had to get the entire carpet reinstalled and all the ac ducts cleaned out at my own cost literally within 2 weeks of moving into a new house. During this change of carpet we saw that the hole in the floor that we had been telling the construction manager for weeks to fix - was still there and increasing in size now. Within the same 2 weeks the bath tub in the master bathroom leaked into the garage ceiling and flooded my garage and destroyed the garage ceiling and side wall with water damage. Mold is already in. And after the nightmare construction I’m going through a nightmare Mold inspection and dry wall work. There are innumerable other problems that we have faced during this move that would be too many to list here. This is my second new build. And I know from previous experience that new home builds don’t start like this, are not this painful, are not done with no care and don’t have such big problems to start with. All I can say is I was very very surprised by such a big name as pulte could not resolve problems when they occurred and were pointed out to them. And now are ok with putting their brand name on a product like the one they gave us. This was happening in a 725k house and I can’t even imagine what they’re doing (and getting away with) in the cheaper ones. It’s been very bad experience, in terms of communication and response. And new house has so many problems ,Including faulty equipment and it’s hard to get hold of people to get issues fixed. And closing has been delayed for months . And after waiting for Months and overpaying interests we still have to face issues like low water pressure and dishwasher, oven not working , electrical issues which cause inconvenience consistently in every day life.

Its has been a horrible sales experience and the followup has been even worst. I wouldn't purchase a Pulte Homes property again. I feel that your company doesn't care about their customers and its all about the money!!
