Your experience with building a new home is 100% dependent on the quality of your Construction Manager. Fortunately, after the first month they switched us to a rock star. Henry was superb. His communication skills, attention to detail, calmness under pressure, customer service soft skills, and organizational skills were the sole reason this build was a success. While most CMs would have let little things slide, Henry took personal pride in the home build as if it was his own home. He is an asset to Pulte and I truly hope they compensate him well. Overall I am very satisfied with our purchase. I would say the disappointment comes in the details. I wouldn't close on your home until every defect is corrected. It's been 3 months since I closed on my house and I still haven't gotten corrected several things that should only take someone a few hours to come and fix.

Overall, everyone we dealt with has been helpful, professional, and responsive. Given how many homes Pulte is building, and the schedules they must keep, it is probably inevitable there will be glitches, either small or large. Fortunately, most of the glitches we have seen have tended to be small. The proof of how well a builder will stand behind their work is their readiness to correct problems as they are discovered. So far Pulte has been pretty good, but we're still waiting on a few things to be addressed, one month after closing on the house. All in all, very, very good!

Building with Pulte homes was a positive experience. From the initial consultation, through the design appointment and the build process. There were some issues at move in, but our build manager Don took care of all of them in a very efficient manner. He was fantastic. With any new home, nothing will be perfect. There was paint splatter on places it should not have been, minor imperfections in installation pieces, and so on. I am overall happy with the experience and have already referred multiple family members who are buying in the oakfield community!

Diane did a gret job with guiding us through the purchase. Justine was terrific with keeping us current on the build. His photo updates were very important to us as we elected to not travel to charleston during this time due to Covid. Justin remains very responsive with post close items.

During our building process we were working though COVID, unfortunately we lost our sales person but was replaced quickly. Right after we completed we then lost our lead contact for construction. Developing relationship during this process is a key and the loss of both was unnerving. Overall, still had a good experience with Pulte.

Recommend to ask lots of questions when building new. To participate in the building process as much as possible. We were out of state and were not able to fully participate or visit. Pulte has a great on -site manager at Primus, who is very professional & responsive to our questions after we have moved in, as well as setting up vendor returns for any needed corrections timely.

Pulte builds homes quickly and the workmanship is very good, however, it is not excellent. In some cases, the workers did not clean up all of their glue, paint, and caulk residues, making move in more work than expected.

Only been in the house a month. Follow up repairs was a little cumbersome with matching up dates that worked for the builder and the home owner. Still have a pipe in my front yard. The builders says it belongs to the house next to ours, which is still under construction by a different builder. Spoke to the other builder and he states it belongs to Pulte.

Disappointing that we had to pay almost $2000 for a light gray paint throughout the house instead of the standard white - and its MATTE paint! You have no choice in finish. Every little nick and fingerprint shows. Don’t waste your money - repaint yourself. We’ve talked to other owners who just leave paintbrush and paint can handy for retouches before anyone comes over. That is crazy. Stove damaged upon install - hard to believe no one knew! I tried to bake and flames burnt the flooring underneath the stove. Took over a week to get a new one. The painters are very sloppy - paint on glass ...

House seemed well built. Landscaping, grass and bushes and trees not very appealing. Asked if they could spruce it up and they didn't accommodate us.

At first the builder seemed eager to help and address the issues with our brand new home. He seemed especially concerned that his first review vis survey received 5 stars. Now it’s been over a month without all issues resolved and we are now noticing some quality issues, especially with our cabinets. We were told “scratches and dings” were not covered after 30 days. However the issue is. It scratches and dings, more like cheap quality laminate on cabinets. They said we got a cabinet repair kit to fix it ourselves but we never received one. Buyer beware. I would say quality was not what we expected for the money we paid. There were some issues we experienced but they were eventually resolved. We are still removing excess paint splatters on floors and tile which I would think should have been taken care of during a quality inspection. Also I highly recommend a deep cleaning of the house prior to closing as we had to clean everything from floors, doors, windows and blinds. large disconnect between builder and HOA. Still no-one can tell me who is responsible for providing the HOA with a listing of new residents so we can make sure we receive latest info, i.e. gate closures, operation of access cards, guests requirements when gates are closed, names of residents in the access directory, etc. Initially Jonah was spot on with responsiveness to our questions and problem solving. currently he has been non-responsive.

My family loves our new home. However, the craftmanship was very subpar. There was absolutely no attention to detail, culking was poor, edges were not finished and smooth, nail tracks still up, paint not smooth. For the amount we paid for this house those things should have been perfect. Those flaws took away from overall quality of the home.

We have had several issues with our home and Shane has been extremely responsive and willing to try to make it right. Unfortunately, our microwave has never worked, and it has been 60 days and Kitchen Aide has still not resolved the issue, despite two trips to repair. We expect a new home wo have everything work and that it should be replaced and not fixed. We have also had several issues with attic doors that needed replacement.
