Warping door. Chipping paint. Rusting kitchen sink. Dead sod. Squeaky doors. To name a few. Won’t buy from them again.

At the beginning of the home buying experience, I asked what makes Pulte a better home than Ryan Homes, M/I, etc. I was told that Pulte is an overall better quality in workmanship, materials, and process. I will say the process was pretty good, but most builders have the same process in place. The workmanship and materials is a different story. The non-structural materials are pretty good as long as you upgrade. The structural materials like drywall, foundation, and exterior landscaping is not good. Way below expectations. And workmanship, besides for a couple trades like tiling was shoddy. I ...

Poor Quality, Never for a Long-term Home

I do not have a door bell. The placement of the downstairs thermostat is behind where your TV is. The light in the kitchen / dining area is no where near where a table should be. Why is the outside spicket in the garage? Also, unless you drive two compact cars, the garage is not a two-car one. It isn’t a bad floor-plan. The master bedroom is nice a big with a function walk-in closet and large master bathroom. Overall, Pulte builds a substandard product with very little attention to detail.

Everything starts out well and goes smooth until about 6+ months in. Completion seemed to drag out well past what we thought but then finally wrapped up very quickly at the end but with items still left to be completed after closing. You obviously agree because you’ve been waiting so long and are just ready to close. Once you close it’s like pulling teeth to get those leftover items completed. I’m still waiting on things to be completed and I’ve been in the house for 3 months.

I’m extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The closing was a nightmare and now I’ve been in the house for seven weeks and still have many issues with the house that have not been resolved.

Do your homework. Pay attention. Ask questions. Don't expect honesty, demand it. Follow up if something is not correct. Elevate issues immediately. Give yourself at least 30 days to be in your new home prior to providing a home builder rating.

I’m sad to write this review, because the actual home buying experience with Pulte was amazing. But now that I’ve been in my home for 2 months, I’m noticing so many issues. Cracked tiles, missing/poorly done grout work, crooked windows, broken windows, holes emerging in my yard and I’m still trying to get the thousands of paint droplets off my hardwood flooring. This is my second new build and we never experienced this level of poor workmanship in our prior home. So utterly disappointing.

For additional lot payments of $17,000 for an end unit and $23,000 for the lot premium, all that bought was a dining room window and side brick facade that does not align with the front brick facade. Usually an end unit has some bit of property on the side and back. I understood before making my deposit that abutting the fence would affect the size of the deck, but I did not expect the entire back lot to become a quarry due to the English basement foundation or the end unit to have absolutely no side lot. I specifically asked the sales agent about the lot because of my son’s dog and ...

1. Change filed manager in the process of home building without notifying me until I found out. 2. Not detail oriented (sod is not install correctly, it's uneven and a lot of holes) 3. Outside of the house still need to be worked 4. I love the neighborhood but pulte can do better job than this. If there is a way for me to send pictures I will love to show you what happened to the house. Overall it's not a good experience.

The Central Point community appears very nice, but the interiors of the homes are not as attractive as they should be due to a lack of high quality workmanship. Additionally, my home buying experience with Pulte Homes was very disappointing. My celebration walkthrough was performed while my home was incomplete and while there were serious paint issues everywhere. I also required multiple independent home inspections before being able to feel comfortable with my purchase, and I did not appreciate being rushed to sign on my home before a passing inspection was obtained. Pulte Homes has a lot of ...

The initial sales experience was positive, with assurances of exceptional quality throughout the home build. Unfortunately, post-closing reality has been significantly different. Within three weeks of occupancy, major and minor flaws stemming from poor workmanship have become evident. Issues include, but are not limited to: failure of the tankless water heater, a severely loose kitchen faucet, and several clear footprints visible on the concrete patio floor after recent rainfall. The overall quality of workmanship is deeply disappointing. We purchased a new home specifically to avoid ...

Quality is the biggest concern. From the building materials to the construction process itself, there are issues at every stage. Initially, I believed that Pulte was responsible for the end-to-end delivery with a strong focus on quality, but that’s clearly not the case. There are still numerous areas where things are falling short. Given the price I paid, I don’t believe it’s worth it. The overall experience doesn’t align with the expectations set at the time of purchase.

If the model home would have had the fit and finish and paint work that our home has, I would have never bought a Pulte Home. I would fire the painters and the finish carpenters on the spot. This is our 5th house and by far the worst fit and finished house. The bright spot is that Pulte has a good warranty department. Lisa has been wonderful to work with. We have already had several warranty claims and Lisa has had the workers to come out in a timely manner.

I bought a home out of state so my experience will be different I'm sure. My husband flew down the week before closing to address any issues that weren't caught the day before by the warranty manager. He flew down a week later to see they had not even begun, even though he was going to our closing an hour later. Since then, we have had sub contractors in and out of our home to do everything from remove paint on floors, clean windows that appear to have smoke damage, remove cabinets to install lighting that they forgot to, cut holes in sheet rock to run a new conduit for internet ...

I purchased a new-construction unit in South Village because of the great location and pretty, modern exterior. However, the overall buying experience and quality of the interior of the home are sub-par. Starting with the sales experience, it appears there are communication issues with Sales and the construction team. Many times, I made decisions on finishes with my Sales Rep only to find they were completely ignored by the construction team. For instance, I chose a tiled shower and one weekend I came to visit the house and a plastic molding one had been installed instead. Secondly, my ...

Steven has been great but other than Steven this is been a not very good experience for a house we spent almost a $1,000,000 on. We had a water issue the first night we moved in and flooded our basement bedroom over 5 weeks ago. We still do not have padding and carpet on the floor and nobody is responding to our please for fixing this. Steven is trying but he’s not getting very far either. There’s other issues in our downstairs kitchenette with paint on the cabinets and we asked this to be resolved over a month ago - and still nothing - crickets!! We are the new homeowner from Pulte, just moved into new home since August 18th for 3 days but with many surprised issues. Irrigation system has been set up wrong initially by Loving group who is hired by Pulte which caused $1200 plus water bill for 1-2 months and Pulte told us this is not their responsibility; Important warranty registration information was not shared during closing so we missed good benefits for extended warranty. Cabinets have scratches, lawns are damaged by community truck, we are told these are all not covered by Pulte warranty. We feel quality of home is not good and ...

We had a bad experience with Pulte. We have walked into Pulte Sales office with specific requirements (lots with flatter backyard) and was routed to the available lots saying the requirements are met with those lots. The lots were considerably flatter when we signed the contract. To my surprise, just a week before closing they made it so steep that all we have is less than 25% usable backyard. We feel like we have been deceived and cheated. We invest our hard earned money to get this outcome. It is not just me, there are several others who have this issue. I would not recommend Pulte.
