We got a new house because we wanted a Master on one. We decided on Pulte after looking at 4 or 5 other builders. They worked with us for 6 months. There are a few things I don’t like. Pulte mortgage was the WORST! I will never use them again. After working 6 months and getting them everything they requested in a day, they wanted to delay our closing again. This was almost a no go. Second, we wanted no carpet throughout the main level. They would not do hardwood in our main bedroom or closet. We even agreed to pay more. Instead I had to remove the carpet and install the ...

Site builder is a liar and a legal liability

I’ve dealt with many builders over the years of real estate investing. I have never had a builder sign on and submit legal documents signed and dated prior to the work actually being completed. On top of it, he was a straight jerk. You should fire Chad immediately before he costs you millions of dollars in legal fees.

First, they force you to use their mortgage company and then they sell your mortgage before the first payment is due to a company you never heard of. Second, they sell craftsmanship. We have made 12 work orders on a brand new house. From no remote to a fireplace to stairs that are stained 2 different colors. Third, it takes weeks for them to get back to you and another 2 weeks for it to repaired. Fourth, we had 3 different contractors building the house in 10 months. Who left, who got fired. We have multiple issues with the house. First was the A/C which was blowing out cold air from the return. Found that the duct work was backwards. There is no water spickets on the sides or front of the house. So, how do we water the front lawn? I’d buy another.. The house was already built, amazing on-site realtor (Daniel), great price, bought without physically seeing it and the build quality iss great. I’d never buy another Lennar, but I’d buy another Pulte. My father spent about 2 days installing cabinet handles, etc. and the house is great.

I had not lived in my new home for a month when I had an emergency plumbing issue. I could not get a hold of anyone immediately. My down stairs flooded with sewer water still no response from Pulte. The plumbing company did come and identified that the sewer pipe was broken. It has been replaced but have still not had contact with Pulte. Not the way I would do business

As a first time home buyer this experience should be fun and joyful and it was anything but that. The only great part of our experience was our construction supervisor Connor. All other aspects were brutal. We ended up with a gorgeous home but it was a miserable journey. I would not purchase a pulte home again nor would I recommend it to others.

We’ve been another number in giant housing market. Our design center experience was wonderful, and we felt like Pulte was invested in building us a quality home. From that point forward, it became obvious we were a number and the most important factor was how quickly the home could be put up at the lowest cost. Writing here again with more observations about Pulte—as I was wondering if anyone else might have had similar experiences with misinformation from the company: - The dishwasher they installed was very low quality—at 56 decibels it's incredibly loud. The home purchased was a “Move in Ready” home so the buyer did not get a quality review until the day of closing. Known as the Celebration Walk through, there were many items not worthy of celebration. The house flooring was really dirty and there were paint drops everywhere.
