Craig was a super responsive and helpful builder. Through the process he was very respectful and was always willing to go above and beyond to make sure or questions were answered. Even after closing he has helped us with a handful of questions we have had since becoming home owners.

Paint job is poor

Our house is great but we as we started living in it, we started to notice the poor paintwork. We called out many items during our walk-throughs and they were either not done or they were done very poorly. We also noticed the floors are chipped in certain areas and our garage door is damaged.

Overall the experience was a good one. From the moment we met our sales consultant to the very end at closing, everyone maintained a professional and courteous attitude. We chose to finance with Pulte mortgage and besides some minor communication issues everything went well. The closing was smooth and much better than I was expecting. There have been some issues with the quality and workmanship of the home. Seems like they were really trying to get the house complete and sold and some things were missed. Since closing I've had to submit at least 4 warranty claims, but to their credit, all ...

Pulte Homes - I like this builder but my house was rushed to close before it

I like this builder but my house was rushed to close before it was ready. There are so many mistakes that I'm having to wait around to address. They shouldn't have closed me in December and still things in Feb aren't completed. They put a different brand oven in and the fan doesn't work. I hope it gets fixed!

Pulte is an average builder. They are good when it comes to overall layout but I found that sub-contractors are not as skilled. Also the materials and equipment used are cheap.

Mortgage team stretched the time unnecessarily, they were keep on asking the same documents multiple times. The hand over/construction manager team doesn’t fix the items properly as they promised, the issues are still existing. The sales team Ms Sara is the best employee and she was 100% supportive. No one visited to hear back on open issues since the closing.
Pulte Homes responded:
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback for us. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience with our mortgage team and to learn you are experiencing concerns within your new home. We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication regarding your concerns and would like to make leadership aware of them. We have been living in our house for over two months now and it is still under construction fixing things that should have been done the week of closing. Quality of trades are poor, tape removed from our walkthrough without being touched.

It has been a rocky experience this first couple of months in our home. We don't feel like we've been taken care of as new homeowners. We are also questioning the craftsmanship on our new home. We're hoping that working with the warranty team, we will get the results we are looking for.

Having a tough time getting people to fix urgent issues such as a leaky roof. The service calls keep getting cancelled. Warranty means nothing if you can't service it.

The project manager was very professional, kept me inform at all times of the progress on the construction site in a weekly basis, he was always available, very committed and patient with my endless questions and most importantly he took the time to reviewed the third-party inspection reports that I hired and took actions from the suggestions. Thank you Dustin for all your work, I really appreciate it!

A quality, but expensive, home

Pros: Overall, I'm pleased with my new home. The fact that it is a new build gives me features not found otherwise in this area like an open floor plan and tall ceilings. The quality of the build seems great. No real issues with Pulte construction. Cons: Any upgrades they charge you tremendously over market value. As an example, I had wood flooring put in. The same flooring through Pulte would have cost over $60k as an upgrade charge. Having a third party come in after closing and demolish all the flooring Pulte put in and put in quality wood cost $20k. If you extrapolate that upcharge ...

i am satisfied with most of the aspects but i do have few things that i dont like. for example, unless we go for an upgrade option, i dont see a quality in the things you install in bathrooms. like shower-head or the plastic wall (in guest bedroom) are kind off fragile is what i feel.

Pay attention to quality of interior wall paint as well as wall switch placement. Security keypads may not be in the most logical place.
