The sales team is great and the financing team is great!! The builders/contractors lack in quality work and getting back to you on issues. If I had known this, I would not ever considered Pulte as my builder. I will never refer anyone to Pulte as the worksmanship is absolutely horrible.

Pulte has beautiful homes and great features but the final quality work lacks making for a disappointing experience. They take great upgrades and don’t watch carefully how the final touches are being complete and that’s where the quality suffers.

It was my first buying experience and things seemed great. I didn't know any better. First I would say that the choices for selections was limited and anything outside of the dull plain choices was very expensive. I am a colorful person and the wall choices for paint was 3 or 4 versions of the same color. If I wanted something else it was ridiculously expensive. $950 for under cabinet lighting is absurd. While going through the building process or project manager kept saying after closing if you have any issues let me know and they will be taken care of. After closing he doesn't respond ...

Quality awasn’t up to par with what you expect from a new home. Appliance broke within a week of moving in, finding minor issues every day. House didn’t appraise at selling cost, builder didn’t budge on price, etc.

Could’ve been better

If pulte does not approve you, do not give up and find another lender who will! Most of the time pulte is not willing to go an extra step for the customer and will put you down through the home buying process. Make sure you have a strong real estate agent to guide you and fight for you. Overall experience was not great and cannot say I recommend the company but love the home!

Great sales and beautiful design! The fall out is the financial team, bad knowledge on loan tipes/rules and I would go 3rd party next time and pay the extra closing. House is beautiful but definitely some cut corners, dead tiles in bathroom (crazy a new house has tile that is hollow and builder says needs more for a repair! bad grout Job that needed to be fixed before mold issues. Water issues in front of my house and been getting the run around on a resolution so I called It lake Hale….. get wet every time I take the trash or recycling out. Overall Pulti needs some help to consider ...

Battle to get anything fixed

You need to argue any warranty items. Finding the cheapest way to fix an issue without actually fixing the issue.

We were moving from out of state so just really felt like we were forgotten or intentionally pushed to the side because of that. We had delay on top of delay, which we understand happens in construction and wasn’t 100% Pulte’s fault, but they way they handled it left us feeling very discouraged and nervous. We had a really poor experience with our sales guy who called us every day before putting the earnest money down and then rarely heard from unless prompted by us during the building process. Our construction manager was great and super friendly! We still had a few issues that never got ...

Disappointing experience with Pulte Homes. Little customization options were available even when willing to pay for basic changes such as adding tile to a room instead of carpet. Felt mislead and lied to at various parts of the process as the sales office would tell you what to expect or what is upcoming but when you got to the build process that was not the case. Stressful closing process as the house was not completely ready and the builder fell back on excuses of "you can trust me" or the warranty will cover that after closing. Very disappointment, Poor workmanship!

Good building materials but very poor workmanship or poor contractors. Almost everything are heavily scratch after they finished installing (doors, windows, sink, bathtub, door handle .....). 3 sprinkler unit were buried sideways, some of units buried too low. There are many hairline cracks on the floor before we move in (bedroom, patio, garage). The cracks length from 1 foot to 8 feet and we was told those cracks are hydration cracks but I believe these are the foundation issues and it does come with 10 years foundation warranty, they don't do anything until the cracks 1/4 inch.

Workmanship leaves a lot to be desired.

My experience has not been positive. The workers left behind lots of messes. They left black fingerprints everywhere. The plumbing was severely blocked. My toilets backed up into the tub, sink, etc. The plumbing had to be worked on twice. The tree in the front had to be replaced more than once. The garage paint is peeling since I moved in. The carpet has paint drops left by the workers in every room. The nails were sticking up and had to be fixed. There's paint on the frosted window in the bathroom and I have been asked to clean it myself! The bathroom floors and shower have silicone ...

Sales: Taylor in our community was great. He was eager and great to work with. He did a great job of explaining everything to us, the process and all that jazz. He also steered us in the way of things he would personally recommend rather than what was the most expensive. He was always responsive and helpful to get us the attention we need. Design: overwhelming! Pulte actually did a great job and emailed us over the PDFs so we had an idea of the features we wanted to see and look at. Once you close the home, there is no follow up to complete punch list items.

Make sure you get everything completed before you close. Once you sign off, all the promises to get punch list items correct fly out of the window. I am now on month 2 and its like pulling teeth to get a response from anyone. When I do get a response, more promises that are not fullfilled.

The priority is house is closed (or) not. They don't care about the buyers. what issues they will have (or) not ? Example: they will give u 0 wood like ties. They will not give you extra bricks, paint ...issues after reporting will be addressed later ..Quality of construction is also not upto the expectation...They can do much better.

We bought a Pulte home in Gramercy Park. Due to market conditions we did this via a virtual walkthrough with our realtor. There are many pro's & cons to the house & the builder. We got a good deal our house, but if you're OCD in any way, don't go with Pulte. The longer I've been here the more I've noticed how the air vents, lights, outlets, etc. are not lined up with each other which is shocking. The trim board is literally cardboard and doesn't seem of high quality. Also, we had an issue with a door handle not working within the first 30 days. The builder just dropped the parts off at our door for us to fix it ourselves. He didn't ring the doorbell or anything. That was also shocking to me.

We still haven't had our 30 day walk through where we do have areas of concern. There will always be doubt due to how the buying and follow up processes have been executed. This probably will fall on death ears.

seles rep was GREAT, the tour of the neighbohood really nice too, the visit to the desing center was very nice and easy however once they started actually building it all went to crap project manger was terrible, his ownership of mistakes and poor workmanship was close to not existent! zero attention to detail - multiple closing reschedules, poor attitude and responsivenes to issues, aweful expreince it seemed like he was working for the tradesmen as if they were paying him and i wasnt the customer whose oppinion and work he should be taking into consoderation....

Ensuring all systems work fine before closing

Some items are half complete, Pulte to ensure all items are working fine before handing over, For eg, Irrigation systems are not working fine in almost all houses closed, Lot of heater/AC issues. Paid upgrades are not done in some cases.
