A complete lack of quality control

Sales personnel were great, we worked with Chris an had a good experience overall. The build of the actual house really showcased the lack of tradesman quality, a lot of poor quality materials are being used. Rushing out on these homes is causing a lot of simple things to be missed. Construction manager Matt was very helpful and responsive. Warranty department so far has been great.

Working with construction team and the finance team was over the top awesome. Very responsive and great people. Steve from construction, and Amber and Cassandra from Finance were just outstanding. As for sales rep, very bad communication with us along with not being truthful at all.

Things went much smoother when Wes took over as construction manager

If we had to use Dayna, sales, again for anything we would not buy, build or even think of owning a home. Working with her was the worst experience for us. She continued to call my fiancé by my last name and Jose when that isn’t even his first name either. Matt, our builder, we would work with him on any home at any time. He was amazing and followed through every time and timely.

Shortcuts, cheap materials, poor craftsmanship. Flashing not appropriate size , still waiting to have it replaced and moved in 3 months ago. A/C- poor balance ventilation even after A/C company came to “balance” it. My shower leaks water, so need to get caulking. Some doors don’t latch or handles get stuck. The list goes on..

We had a great experience with our sales agent and love our lot and floor plan but have been disappointed in the finish and trim of the home. Several of our level 5 cabinets have been cracked, paint chipped, gouged, exposed nail ends under office counter, trim work and paint is sloppy, very expensive hardwood floors are cracking and peeling. Warranty work has been very responsive and we hope to rectify the issues. We would not recommend choosing hardwood floors with Pulte, they were very expensive and despite controlling the humidity, only sweeping and damp cloth on any marks, we continue to see cracking and peeling, ... Stay on top of your team and expect things to be subpar. If it weren't for the construction foreman, community sales manager, and warranty rep, this would've be a 1-2 star review.

Beautiful home. The process took 18 months, misinformation and poor communication during this process. In the end we gsve a lovely home!

I had a salesperson who wasn't honest about things like the fact they submitted permits incorrectly to the city and had to RE submit so it took 5 MONTHS to get permit to build! The first construction manager would also lie and say things were done and I would go by and those things were NOT done then he backtracked and denied telling me these things. FINALLY got a construction manager who was awesome (Austin M) and things went pretty smoothly. Still took 18 months to build what should have taken 6-8 months.

It is my third and most expensive home with Pulte in an exclusive neighborhood, yet the quality of the workmanship has been the poorest. I am very disappointed. The salespeople, staff, and field manager were all great as always from my previous Pulte experience, however, the quality of work was very poor. It seems we closed on the house, and it needed at least another month before closing. Every day/week I find new issues. I have spent the last 2 months addressing issues. Pulte has been very responsive and have begun to take care of some, but it seems it will be 6 months before they take care of all of them. These are not nick pick issues BTW but real issues that were not completed and some of them big cosmetic items they seem to have forgotten. The mortgage process was another disappointment. The home took over a year to build and during that year they have to pre-qualify me every quarter (at least 4 times) of which they kept running my credit and affecting my credit score. Every time they will ask for the same updated bank statements, wages, etc. Sometimes ridiculous requests such as asking for a letter from my work that I could live 1 hour from work. At the final month they asked me for more money and an effective rental agreement from my previous home when that was not included in any of the four credit reports they asked during the 16 months they took building the home and approving the mortgage. BTW, I have a consistent 800+ credit score in the last few years and this is the third time I use Pulte mortgage, and it has also been the worst. ... More

Seems like a good product but don’t close without everything accomplished.

Before buying a Pultle home I went to their website and watched their promotional materials. It featured a lot of people that knew what they were talking about and took pride in their work. This is not what I experienced at all. I experienced lots of fighting to get things done correctly and in the end, there are still a lot of things that look awkward. Walls that look twisted, a roof that has dips in it, ceilings that have boils, creaky floors, unfinished mortar work, and the list goes on. If you ask to get something fixed, they basically do the same bad work over again. I would say if you do buy a Pulte home, take lots of photos and don't let them proceed to the next phase until it's 100% correct, or else you will be on the phone with their warranty department forever to get things fixed correctly, if at all. While my project manager was super receptive to our needs, the people doing the actual work had a "slap things together" work ethic and it shows in the "finished" product. The other issue was our sales person was hard to get a hold of and then that person quit half way through our build. Quality of workmanship was poor. I’m still correcting flaws myself. The house was delivered clean. Too much to list.

My sales representative and field manager were wonderful. However, after we moved into our home we noticed more and more issues, mostly cosmetic, with our home. The overall structure seems well done, but paint and drywall especially are poorly done. Recommend very close and thorough inspection before closing.

The quality of the work is great. We love our new home. The punch list was not completed and we are still waiting for some items to be completed after a full 5 weeks.

Slow in respond and never gave me the touch up paint.

Hi we are happy with our second pulte home we buy. Only thing is that we were told things were going to get done landscaping wise and fixing some outside issues and we haven’t had luck doing this little things.

These homes could be improved a lot if the workers preforming their tasks cared about the quality of their work and not so much about rushing to complete their task. With just a bit of effort they could make so much better a product and without adding a lot of cost. An example is to have a 4 plug electrical outlet at the bathroom vanity instead of the 2 outlet. Offer (at additional cost) a whole house vacuuming system (Bean is a popular manufacturer). The electricians had to replace the 220 volt cable for the clothes dryer. They used a saws-all that thru bits of grease onto the wall. Nobody cleaned the grease up and when I pointed it out to the painters all he did was paint over the grease. Now I have all these spots on the wall where the grease is bleeding thru the paint. ... More

many new appliances that were and are broken; missing outside trim; two electrical problems; retile of the entire house needed.

Craftsmanship is acceptable. The tiles look good. The doors and the cabinets are rough. Misalignment and loosen handles are common. The construction manager is awful after closing. He committed to touch up some of the issues while it was extremely difficult to reach out to him. The issues of water pressure, faucets, and a drawer rail are remained to be unsolved.

We like how they draw the room and space but their own loan company no good. The member working so lazy and in professional. Don’t really helping and blaming. We had recorded everything they said while they working. When we closing, construction manager promised to fix stuff, but they take so long and the end they didn’t finished. So make sure you don’t closed until they fix all stuff first l. We didn’t get all fixed even we moved in more than 2 months already. They hiring careless people to build the home. They need to fix a lot small stuff.

Honestly I wouldn’t buy another house in the future from pulte homes . Houses have nice lay out and nice space inside But materials look cheap and takes for ever to get something fix after closing. my yard was done poorly and now it’s my problem no warranty paid extra for landscaping not worth it

Let me start by saying Steve was great and he alone would get all 5 stars however,Pulte Homes would not receive 5 stars from us at all. Changing of staff, lack of communication, trustworthiness was questionable.
