Home buying experience was great. However, I do have a few issues with the workmanship in my condo, for instance the master bathroom countertop is not mounted to the counter. But overall happy.

I had a wonderful experience with Pulte. Mark was our salesman and he was phenomenal. Unfortunately, we had to deal with supply chain issues which resulted in some delays but overall, Pulte delivered an amazing home. I love everything about this home and love this community so much.

Does Not Do What They Say They Will

Pulte Homes does not do what they say they will. Sales Staff (Mark) is dishonest and not transparent about lot release dates, pricing or timelines. The Construction Staff (Robbie) deflects and places the blame on the sub-contractors. Which is silly considering Pulte Homes is ultimately responsible and pays the sub-contractors. They have not been responsive to the 12 month warranty items. Customer Care Team (Mariah) does not respond to service requests. If you have any other option choose them. You will not get what you pay for from Pulte Homes and their customer service is atrocious.

The key to true satisfaction is when things start to go wrong and the organization is willing to work with you. When I bought the house, the rates started to increase dramatically to the point that I would've almost been priced out of the house I wanted to buy. However, at the last minute Pulte managed to ensure that I would be able to afford this home as intended and they did everything they could to ensure I could move in with max satisfaction. I guess like all of these construction companies they bend over backwards for you until closing. Once you close they are not as responsive. They have left the landscaping in front of my unit with dead plants and looking like crap. To make matters worse they claim is the HOA responsibility and they have not yet surrendered their responsibility to the HOA in fact they haven’t even finished a walkway that goes by a green area next to my unit. Went with Pulte for their reputation as a national builder and we liked the area. There were a lot of included home features like basement, deck without paying extra. Outside of the length of time to get into our home - affecting all new construction; very pleased how they meet with you at each build phase and Mortgage company got us great rate.

Pulte was 100% communicative and responsive during the home buying process. AFTER I moved into the home, there were a few issues that needed to be taken care of - one of which that was promised during the final walk thru - that still has yet to be delivered. Constant calls to the community customer representatives for repairs on items is turning out to be a nightmare and quite frankly is a huge disappointment. Our experience buying with Pulte has been great. A good warranty is always something I look for when buying and knowing that I can reach out for any and all issues and get a quick response really provides peace of mind. No matter what kind of home you buy, you will always have "something" that needs to be fixed. I'm very happy with our purchase so far.

Pros: - Appearance and layout of home - Sales staff and build manager are responsive, informative and easy to work with - Base selection options (appliances, cabinets, flooring etc) were generally all decent quality - Builder's mortgage was competitive and great to work with (always shop around other loan estimates) Cons: - Horrendous impact sound insulation. If you have neighbors, especially upstairs/downstairs you WILL hear every footstep, door opening and cabinet closing they do. I can't emphasize enough how poor the sound insulation is, I would be more than happy to pay a higher sales ...

We purchased one of the last condos in Crown East - Gaithersburg. The communication within Pulte departments was terrible. Many times, we were left to fend for ourselves working with the various depts (Mortgage, Construction, Sales and now Warranty. We have built 3 other homes in our past and none were as non-responsive as Pulte. One last comment that explains their lack of coordination. This request for our opinion states that we purchased an MPDU home. That is incorrect, we actually purchased a full priced Condo. Hopefully their records don't show this.

The sales consultant and construction folks were very responsive and thorough but the quality and workmanship is so, so poor. After closing there were areas that were not painted that we did not catch, the stairwell started chipping, the railings were crooked, things that were promised at the walk through were not followed up on. The worst part is that I had a leak in my basement that wet a large area of the carpet and now the dry wall has been cut to look for the leak and it’s been almost a month and nothing has been fixed. This is the 3rd new home that we have purchased in the last 10 years or so. Initially, everything sounded great and it seemed as if Pulte truly stood behind what their employees said. Now we are noticing too many issues with the craftsmanship and no one giving a solution to the repairs needed from a water leak. There has been a hole in our main floor roof for almost 3 weeks now and we are told that someone needs to come assess the situation AGAIN next week. Most of the craftsmanship issues are misalignment of cabinets/drawers, door latches and hinges, and french doors. Also making cuts too ...

I should have known dealing with Pulte was going to be a disaster from day one. From the very initial VIP phone call, all the way through the entire almost 18-month process has been nothing but a disaster and lies. Pulte only cares about the money and does not care about their customers or doing the right thing for its customers. Pulte manipulates and twists things around and takes advantage of their clients.
