I’ve been very happy with Richmond, American Homes. For my Karl’s Farm home, any issues we’ve had with the house are dealt with and fixed very promptly. The house is so cute and in a great area and I love it. Thank you so much!

The only good thing about this company was the foreman. Otherwise, we were misled and deceived.

I would think twice before purchasing a home by Richmond. The quality is poor and they don't care about workmanship. If you find an issue after your walk through and closing they won't fix it. Make sure you document everything. Still waiting for a response to an issue the superintendent said he would take care of. It's been a month and half wirh NO response from him. Home buyer be aware!

It was great overall. However, it would have been better if I was informed that there is no internet service in the community before moving it. It's been a month without internet.

The new Cityscapes here are totally amazing and beautiful! The community is such a lovely warm quiet place.

Home is great for seniors. All on one floor. In a growing community. It’s away from heavy traffic but close to shopping. When fully built out it will have that small town feel and yet have access to all that a city has to offer. Everything is new and shiny.

Richmond home buying process was very easy and low stress. I bought the model home which had normal wear and team. The high end appliances, finishes, and furnishings are nothing short of amazing. The location manager, Tim S., went far above and beyond to prepare the home for my families arrival. While technically the house was sold, as is, Tim went ahead and had all the minor and major-ish things found on the inspection repaired, nothing left for me to do except move in. This saved me time, hassle, and money. He was also great at walkthrough and telling me about the neighboorhood. Really exceptional experience. We had an amazing experience buying our home thanks to the very capable Brian and Stephen. Communication, honesty and speed were at the forefront of the entire process. We are also very pleased with the after sale support, availability and willingness to correct issues as they arise in an expedient manner. Again, we are very happy with our new home in Colorado!

We purchased a new build from dirt. The overall experience was frustrating to say the least. This was our first time buying a new build, so we did not know a lot of key things we should have received from a builder. We met with the sales guy multiple times before we finally decided to buy from Richmond. We pick out the lot from the RICHMOND plans, paid our earnest money and were told it would take 12-14 months to build. This was on 2/27/23. Around July we asked our sales guy if he had any idea what our backyard was going to look like. He said that should have been discussed on our plot call to go over the plot the city(not Richmond) finalized. I told him we never had a plot call. He instantly had a look of fear in his face as he realized this was a HUGE mess up somewhere in the chain of the Richmond organization. So he gave us a copy of the plot designed and approved by the city. We looked at it and realized our backyard had a huge retaining wall in the middle of the ENTIRE YARD. No other house in the whole neighborhood has this crappy retaining wall. Had we known about this retaining wall, we would have NEVER picked this lot. The city signed off on that plot design on 2/24/23. We signed our paperwork on 2/27/23. It was a huge miss from Richmond. We didn't know about a separate plot as we were shown Richmond's plot, they were not the same at all. We had the option to forfeit our earnest money or take the house. We ended up sticking with the house. But this was a huge miss by Richmond for a home buyer. Future buyers, make sure you get a city plot call before you give them any money. I wish we would have known that. The design center was great. The woman we worked with was phenomenal and super helpful. Our sales guy was either let go, or moved on to a new position so we were transitioned over to a different guy. Our first guy was super responsive, replied to calls, texts and emails. The new guy that we were transitioned to was horrible. He still hasn't replied to 4 different emails I sent him, which it's past the point now. Our superintendent was amazing. We had a great experience with him. He was very responsive, fixed things we noticed wrong right away. He was definitely the best person we worked with at Richmond. I stopped reaching out to the new sales guy that took over our deal and started reaching out to our superintendent because he was so responsive. As far as workmanship, I would say it's mediocre. We have a crooked wall in the bedroom in the basement. We have the wrong grout color. We had a corner of our backsplash fixed three different times. We had major roofing debris in our gutter which caused flooding on our front porch. I think some of the work done was not quality work by the contractors that are hired to do the work. Our house was completed in 6 months instead of the 12-14 they originally said. Which was unexpected, but also not an issue for us. Like I said, our design center experience was great. And our superintendent was awesome. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have him. ... More

We signed for an already started Richmond spec house in June. 2023. Promised to be completed in Aug. 2023, but delayed to what ever the reason is! By the promised time we sold our house by Richmond provided agency and paid rent until the new Richmond home is completed and closed on Oct. 31st. I requested Jaci to consider reimbursement of the rent amount ($3700), but she declined it.

Things that were pointed out during the walk through were said to have been fixed but they were not. When asking to resolve these issues nothing has come of it. They say they will fix it but fail to give a time frame on when making us think it will never be fixed. Corners were cut during the building process that we have noticed after living here for a month.

Contacting the warranty office is easy having someone reply and help is the hard part. Literally no communication and being ignored.
