It started off good but changed construction supervisor before closing. Things I was promised suddenly disappeared. After closing found issues that I’m still waiting for warranty to repair. And 1 item I’m not sure how they are going to repair but I can’t move in until it is resolved. I’m not sure I would buy from this builder again

I am happy with the opportunity this great company gave me; I recommend it 100%.

So far my personal experience has been bad!

The home buying process with Richmond was difficult. There was a lack of communication and hiding information across the board. The actual quality of the home is poor and the workers lied countless times about what they fixed before move in. Now I don’t receive any responses for requests to fix issues within the home, including ones they claimed were fixed. The mortgage company (because you are forced to use their mortgage company and insurance company if you want to use the credits) sold the mortgage without notifying me. The insurance company was deceitful as well they provided one quote and then the representative I was working with stopped responding and their colleague completely changed it. ... More

I looked at a few different builders in the area and this one stood out for building with above average materials and not making them options. Beautiful area with views of nature really won me over as well. The process was so fast it’s surreal. They all worked together like a fine oiled machine. I saw it a closed in less than 3 weeks. Amazing experience.

Because it's my first home, I really expected to have a good experience. But it's been terrible. My house came full of defects. And I have to beg for the warranty to be fixed. There were things I asked someone else to do myself because I gave up.

I really love the home itself, but getting issues identified during inspection addressed has been a real pain. The process feels slow and frustrating, and it takes way too much follow-up to get things resolved. The house is great, but I wish the post-inspection support was smoother, more responsive and reliable.

I already submitted like 5 warranty issues in only 1 month of buying the house. Including and issue of the floor. Every time that rains a lot of water comes from the garage floor and living room. This is crazy!!

I would like other home buyers to know that agreeing on the price is a choice but not getting a response to an issue from the builder is breach Thank you for ignoring the review

We recently purchased a new construction home at Seasons at Wekiva Ridge in Mount Dora, FL, and the entire experience has been fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we walked into the model home, we were warmly greeted by Samantha. Her professionalism, knowledge, and patience made us feel completely comfortable. She answered all our questions thoroughly, which made our decision to move forward with Richmond American Homes very easy. We also chose to use their mortgage company, and the financing process with Mike and his team was incredibly smooth and straightforward. A very easy and helpful process.

Would highly recommend that home buyers have a pre-dry wall and final inspection and do not assume because it's new construction that everything is fine. My inspection revealed workmanship that would void the manufacturer's warranty.

Buying this home was a breeze. Every team member that had a part in my purchase made it simple. I was informed along the way what to expect and when to expect it. There were no delays once the purchase agreement was made. The walk through and closing was quick. It did take some time to complete some of the issues from the walk through but there is only1 item from the list to be completed.

Overall our experience has been positive. This positive experience was driven by David, Carl and Austin. My initial support system was very lack and almost deterred us from buying but the crew of gentlemen came in and showed us otherwise.

Had a few minor details with the new home, they were taken care off but still waiting on some issues. Water pressure upstairs bathrooms very low need improvement on that. Outside HOA hadn’t taken care of couple of dead plants and sprinklers hoses sticking out of the ground. It needs mulching and trash debri cleaned up

Our house was built very fast. Because of the speed of the build, some details were glossed over. Window trim drywall is wavy around the windows. The painters that were used to paint our house are pretty bad. Many parts of the house had to be re-painted due to poor quality. The painters left a lot of paint spots on the floors and did not appear to use drop clothes while painting. The other problem is that they spread caulk and drywall on the carpet that I have been cleaning up. The ceiling drywall is wavy. Many parts of the house are finished with poor materials. 50 % of our door handles in our home were installed upside down. Some of the doors were damaged or installed with deep scratches on them. The cabinet quality is meh. The model homes are COMPLETELY different in terms of representation of what you are getting in a Richmond American Home. It would have been nice to have some choices while the home was being built. We will probably be ripping a lot of things out and replacing them with quality materials in the future. I would probably not recommend these homes. The way the building went it makes me wonder what else was overlooked/ shortcuts/ sloppy workmanship occurred in the house? ... More

Definitely a rush job to complete as many homes as possible. Kind of sad companies get away with this stuff. Most of the contractors in the neighborhood dont have company cars, no company outfits.. Literally just dudes off the street. I can go on and on as to the problems we've experience but I dont want to write an essay here. Most of our problems would have been resolved if whoever is reviewing the work of others wasn't content with mediocrity.

I had a great experience with Richmond American Homes, specifically with the sales associate Todd and the builder Chris. They were very helpful with everything I needed. This was my first time buying a home, and they made sure to educate me and guide me through the entire process, making the transaction smooth. The financial team also did a great job. If you are a first-time homebuyer, you should definitely consider them. Whatever they told me at the start was exactly what I spent and received in the end.
