Richmond American Homes Reviews in Boise, ID

Unfortunately, our experience with Richmond American Homes was not a pleasant one. Poor communication, very slow to respond to questions and concerns, and was told false information about some of the items we chose. Financing was also not trust worthy. We found equal to better financing with outside financial institutions that didn't charge for items to make up the "discounts" Richmond American offered. We just can't recommend Richmond American because of our experience.

This was a terrible home buying experience. Terrible communication from Dan. Did walk through and most items were not completed at closing. Back yard landscape is extremely poor workmanship. No attention to detail in house. Dark cabinets and they install a white vent cover. No drawers in second bedroom. No place to put a towel bar. In master bathroom. The list goes on. . Hid the fact that we had a 12’ deep easement at the rear yard so back yard is much smaller than expected.

The entire team kept us up-date on the progress especially Oliver J and went out of his way to have a smooth transition into our new home he became a new friend!

Overall, I am very happy with the home and with using Fidelity National Title as the title company. They knocked it out the ball park with customer service! I was told by Richmond American that my landscaping would be done in spring time but shortly after closing, landscapers showed up without any notice and I did not appreciate that.

I thought Richmond American homes was great. They worked with my situation and wanted us to be successful. So far so good. Shawn was very nice to work with!

We were so thankful to have found Richmond American Homes in Idaho. After looking at different builders and resale homes, this home hit nearly every checkmark for us. The location is wonderful, the build has amazing touches and the quality is amazing. Our sales representative, Sharolynn, was extremely helpful in understanding the process and how Richmond American Homes are different from other builders. We really feel like we won the lottery with this house.

I continued to receive conflicting information depending on who I spoke with. I’m happy with the home itself, but the overall process was frustrating.

We had a great experience with Oliver and him helping us through the whole process. He answered all our questions and was very patient with us and us taking our time wanting to see all our options. We had a few warranty items that I wish were taken care of right away but we also bought near the holidays and people might be delayed. Overall I feel it was a positive experience even with us running into our own personal loan issues.

I would not recommend Richmond to anyone. This was the worst home buying experience of my life. I have purchased 11 homes (6 of them new) in 4 different states. Richmond was by far the worst company to deal with. The sales associate was so short handed and over-worked that he could not get back to us regarding issues. They also changed the agreed upon price after I signed all of the paperwork. Then they tried to change it one more time and they relented when I threatened to back out of the purchase. At closing, it happened one more time. They gave all of the final closing numbers to the title company for a cash purchase. I WIRED the funds, only to be called back. The title company was informed byRichmond that they had made a mistake and that I needed to send an additional amount to close the deal.
