Tried contacting Homewaranty for issue with pin holes in the floor grouting all over my new home, I acknowledge of being a Holiday weeks and was given 10 working days for replies until up to date. No respond from the Honewaranty and we're unable to properly moved my furniture until the grout problems is resolved.. POOR RESPONS FROM RICHMOND AMERICAN TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUES.. Also after 5 days of occupying my homes without my furnitures the AC system went down with issues with the equipment. REPRESENTATIVE I TALK WITH TRY TO BLAME ME FOR THE PROBLEM SHE SAYS THAT BECAUSE INFAILED TO CHANGE THE AC FILTERS,WICH I WAS TOLD BY THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO REPLACE IT 1 TO 2 MONTHS AFTER WE MOVED IN JUST FOR PRECAUTIONS.. I wanted to wait to write this review, after being in the home for a liitle. Overall experience was good, Erik in the office was great no issues, always took our calls and our questions. Our biggest problem is all of the finish work that was completed or not really completed. Alot of stuff was just touched up quickly so that they could close the house. Our baseboards/trim and walls are probably the worst; uneven and rushed. We still have people coming back to fix things; it just takes so long even though we've paid and we are in our home. It's really just an inconvenience to us as the buyer, we can't decorate due to walls needing to be re painted. We can't fill our cabinets since those need to be fixed as well. They forgot our soft closed cabinets and doing the extra finish on them at the end so they are mot so dull. Plus, they almost forgot our covered balcony that they ended up having to take off the roof that they had started and redo it which is probably why things were rushed since they were 2 to 3 weeks behind. Our problem is, is where is the quality control? We understand that people are not perfect. But, for a new home priced over 500k. You would think there would be some more consideration with the details and finishes. We're still finding things and it's just makes us feel like we come last. Georgine was great. Customer service was top notch. Kept me in the loop throughout the process. There was one issue but Luke and Georgine handled it. Richmond American Homes cares about their buyers and made sure I was happy.

Love the house sell person wasn’t honest

I would like to share my overall experience with the sales and construction teams, highlighting both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Sales Team: My interaction with the sales team was generally positive. The representatives were attentive and helpful, addressing most of my queries adequately. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of providing more frequent updates and detailed answers to specific questions I had. A more comprehensive approach from the sales department would have enhanced my overall experience. Construction Team: Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team was not great. There were consistent delays, and numerous mistakes were made throughout the building process. I had to bring these mistakes to their attention during my periodic walks of the property under construction. All the mistakes were handled as I brought them to their attention, but still shouldn't have to catch these as a buyer. In addition, the construction team was addressing outstanding issues during the final walk, creating challenges for me to thoroughly assess and sign off on the completed work. I believe there is a need for better coordination and communication within the construction team to avoid such issues. Timely completion of tasks outlined during walk-throughs is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback proves constructive in enhancing future customer experiences. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of my home, although I had to closely oversee the process and the work's quality. From the very beginning, walking into the office, Jessica was inviting and knowledgeable. Very professional in dealings with me, as I was in la la land. Everyone was responsive to any questions or concerns that I had, this is including Home American Lending. The quality of the builds, for the price range I am in, is unmatched by other builders. Any issues that arose was probably because of my situation, retiring and purchasing at the same time. The builds are actually remarkable. This neighborhood in particular is going to be smaller, and is really diverse, which is truly appreciated. In closing, everyone involved from start to finish worked diligently, answered all questions, and seemed to be rooting for me through all this twists and turns of the home buying experience. On the day of my walkthrough, the electrical was not working in the kitchen, no hot water, the back fence was crushed by a tractor, screens missing and torn and so forth. The person conducting the walkthrough for Richmond had no idea of the condition of the house because Richmond did not complete a pre inspection. All this means that Richmond rushes to get you to the closing table, hoping to push you into a long post closing list. Any buyer should be aware that it is highly unlikely that anyone from Richmond will come back to complete the "post-closing" punch list. I've not seen anyone, and speaking with neighbors, they haven't either, one neighbor has been trying to complete a long list for 11 months. I still don't have a missing screen for my sliding door and there are missing handles on my cabinets. After 30 days, I have been completing/fixing many open items myself. I have previously bought under a different builder and any issues with the property was addressed timely but this builder Richmond American do not address any issues at all. I am missing items that was promised and I cannot get them to respond timely.
