From initial contact to and beyond closing, aside from being what would describe as the consummate Realtor he was professional, consistent and super personable. He always responded to my questions and calls with a since of urgency and provided the needed answers. For me the several crooks and turns that occurred while working through the loan process often stressed my out and invoked major anxiety and to be quite candid ticked me off. He was a consistent voice for calm and reassurance that everything would work out. His positive approach to this process was infectious. At closing I walked away with joy about my brand-new house and a since of gratitude for having crossed paths with Jerry on this Journey. Richmond homes Jerry is a Keeper. From Jim opening early on a Sunday morning to receiving the key at closing (and even beyond) this was an exceptional experience. The house, community and little extras are more than I had hoped for when beginning my home search.

Pay attention to details, ask a lot of questions.

Our home was already built when we bought it but it feels like a quality home. Every person we have dealt with from sales to loan to walk through and warranty items and trade people have all been very friendly and professional. With the few warranty items that have been found, Richmond has been very responsive. We are happy with our home and our overall experience.

Walked through the model home and inquired about options, minor changes and or possible upgrades. I was informed that upgrades / changes were no longer available. So I verbally confirmed that the model home that we were observing was the home that we would be purchasing. Upon our walk through I identified that we were missing 2 electrical outlets in the pantry and master bedroom. I was informed by the general contractor that we should have those plugs. I was later informed that it was not on the electrical plans. I spoke with a number of representatives in finding a resolution in getting what I paid for to match what I looked at for purchase. I was informed that buried in that 76 page contract was a clause that declares that it didn’t matter what the model home looked like, it did not have to include the same basic features. I explained that it was misleading to show basic home features that you would believe to be part of the structure to then find out that none of what you looked at was a guarantee. I offered to provide the materials to have 2 plugs installed. It was denied. What could have taken an hour of labor to resolve was not worth it to Richmond Homes. I was further informed that if I had it done on my own then that would nullify the electrical warranty on the home. It was also identified on both walk through’s that we had standing water in and around the home. We were informed on both walk through’s that this would be addressed. We also discovered that the master bedroom door would not latch as it was improperly aligned along with a couple of other minor things. Richmond homes stated that these items would be taken care of and addressed. It is now almost a month into the home and they have not been fixed. I have attempted to call the vice president directly using the phone number on the email. Nobody answers and the voice message says that nobody is available to answer and try back later. The voicemail does not even have a message that identifies the number of Richmond Homes. I like my home overall and it was sad that these items could of been taken care of with very little expense. Richmond Homes only cares about stuffing a couple hundred of extra dollars into its pocket instead of customer satisfaction. Unfortunately customer service does not exist with Richmond Homes. ... My experience with Richland was so positive! On sales perspective Rachel provides all support to allow us to buy our first home in US! Since the first contact with us until get the keys, Raychel was so supportive. She also was available 7 days a week any time to clarify or help with anything that my Family may needed. On the construction side Kevin was like Rachel where he gave to us all support that we request! Every sing week Kevin and Raychel called me to explain about the construction time phase given all details about it. After researching the area our decision was made as we walked through the quality built site we now call HOME! Cori was a delight from the beginning, her support throughout the process was top notch! The opportunity to work with the companies professionals; lenders/closing agents went smoothly and on time. Our walk through went great, they had addressed most of our concerns before our arrival to appointment! Our personal builder on site Kevin has been wonderful responding to our needs after our closing on issues we’ve encountered! Very satisfied with the Richmond Homes build quality, materials, appliances, design, lot size etc. Had a very bad experience with the Sales Rep David and loan officer Darrel though. Apart from that, the builders and warranty departments are good.

We love our new home and our purchasing experience with Richmond American Homes couldn’t have been easier.

The overall communication from start of sale to finish with my Sales Rep Maggie went very well and all staff were very courteous, cooperative and helpful. The onsite construction supervisor Lupe was very informative. I appreciate the team effort for making my home buying experience easy.

Have to say the homes are far nicer then any other developer ive seen. I've been looking for a new home that checks off many if not all the boxes for me. Richmond American was the only one even close.

Good experience overall & very easy to work with.

We recently purchased a new home and unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing. From the moment we moved in, we encountered multiple issues, from the carpet to the paint and even the appliances. The carpeting was poorly installed. The paint job throughout the house is subpar, doors and trim were painted carelessly, with drips and rough edges everywhere. The installed appliances were either low-quality or not properly tested before handover. We’ve already had multiple issues, including a malfunctioning dishwasher and a fridge with cooling problems. Everyone was so helpful, from the sales team to the loan officers. Always had time to answer all our questions. They always answered on time and helped us if anything was needed. The walk through of the home was easy and smooth. Home care specialist always responds he is very nice. He took care of submitting any minor problems we found in the home, that needed fixing.

Very courteous and professional team.

Richmond does a very good job of keeping you informed during the build and has been very responsive to questions after the move in. We highly recommend everyone take the time to look seriously at what Richmond offers in Buckeye.

Good workmanship and material.

We started looking at Richmond homes almost a year ago! We were a little nervous about buying our first home but working with our sales agent Carin - she really helped ease our fears. The process was seamless. From our many conversations, many times just stopping by the office and picking her brain to the walk through a to closing - it was an amazing experience! We can’t thank Carin and her team enough.

We had our own financing. You treated as if you were our lender. For this reason I would not recommend Richmond homes for anyone that does not want to finance through you.

Went to the model home about 8 months ago. Told the sales person that we wanted the same paint color inside and out to include the stone work like the model home. Elevation F. She said ok. When our home was built it was the complete opposite. Apparently, everything about our house had already been planned by the builder long before it was built. It seems the sales person told us this just to get a sale in my opinion. Since we were deep in the process of buying our home and it would be hard to get our Earnest money back; we begrudgingly decided to take it. The stone workmanship on the outside looks very poor and hurried. I told Chris the builder it looked like it was done by elementary kids. My friends who drove by said it looked "poor" at best. Chris said that is the way they do it now and nothing could be done about it. The only person I have meet who seems to have any moral integrity is Corey who works on the warranty. He's about the only one I trust. We have several issues that he is working to get corrected. Also, we thought that a couple weeks prior to having the house being finished; we would be called in to see if we wanted upgrades. That never happened. It is very apparent that the cheapest bathroom and sink fixtures were installed to save money. The reason we picked Richmond American is my wife thought they had a fine reputation. I personally don't and feel that way and I'm sure she has changed her opinion as well. After paying half-a-million dollars; sometimes I lies awake at night sorry I bought this place. Oh well, now that I have satisfied your request for my buying experience, you can file it in a black hole somewhere with others who are dissatisfied as well. One last thing; since ours is the only house that is finished and we see a lot of building going on around us; most of the sub-contractors don't even have a company logo on their vehicles. That tells me that much of the work probably went to the lowest bidder. ... More

Our overall experience was great. The property agent,Stephanie, was amazing to work with. She was always there with answers whenever I had questions and willing to help anyway she could. And when we had issues with the house itself Rich was right there to make sure the issue was fixed and to make sure we were satisfied and happy. The whole process was great. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy.
