We love our home beautiful home and it’s in a beautiful area in Black Ridge Cove. We love the deck and terrace, size of rooms, etc., but as a spec home there are things we couldn’t give input on through the building process. There appears to be a clear emphasis on speed of subcontractor work and not quality. The floating floor was not checked to ensure that it was cut close enough to the walls so that when the floor moldings were installed, the ends were covered. The floor moulding subcontractor also didn’t pause when they clearly saw that the floor was cut short, so now we have several areas where the floor is cut short of the moldings and are still waiting for resolution of the issues more than a month after closing. Shouldn’t someone inspect the work at each stage to ensure it meets a certain standard? Other issues that are head scratchers include no light over the sink and not installing lights over the kitchen island. I realize that an electrical line was put in the ceiling so that we could install them ourselves and choose between two or three lights, but that doesn’t seem like the right thing to cut costs on. At my age it’s difficult to install lights over a large kitchen island with 10 foot ceilings. I have to put a ladder on the island to reach the ceiling. The other thing I would have done differently is to put the light by the door to the garage on a separate switch from the can lights in the family room. The light is primarily used for the closet by the door, but when you turn it on to get a coat from the closet, you also turn on the 4 can lights over the family room. That makes you not want to turn that light on if others are watching tv in the evening. Did they talk to anyone who had actually lived in a home before designing the lighting? ... More

We are satisfied with what we got from Richmond American

enjoyed watching the house get put together. I got updates weekly on the progress. I have less stress knowing that there is a warranty for the home and that as things settle we will be covered.,

So the home has some pros and cons. Some of the upgrades are nice but then they went cheap on other things…such as upgraded fixtures but didn’t even put in a smart thermostat or the wire for a smart thermostat. There are many things that they went cheap on. In addition we were told before we entered into a contract and received the hoa rules that the only thing we had to worry about was drainage. Once we entered into contract and were towards the end we finally got hoa requirements and by then it was to late to back out as we would have lost all of our deposit. We were not told the truth about the hoa and had we known the truth we would not have purchased. ... More

All of the people that I came in contact with were great. Briana was there every step of the way. Rosemary also was a great assistance to me after I moved in. Gabriel also ensured that everything was taken care of from the walk thru. I highly recommend Richmond American for the quality of their homes and customer service.

Definitely a rush job to complete as many homes as possible. Kind of sad companies get away with this stuff. Most of the contractors in the neighborhood dont have company cars, no company outfits.. Literally just dudes off the street. I can go on and on as to the problems we've experience but I dont want to write an essay here. Most of our problems would have been resolved if whoever is reviewing the work of others wasn't content with mediocrity.

I recently purchased a new house from Richmond American homes and I am incredibly satisfied. The quality is amazing. The customer service was very helpful. Every thing went smoothly and on timely basis. I recommend this company to anyone who needs a beautiful home with reasonable price.

I am sure it is the same with most of the middle of the road Builders these days, but the quality of the workmanship and products are fair to poor for the value paid.

Dan was great to work with. We had some issues trying to buy the house we wanted because we were moving out of state. He helped through the whole process and got us the house we wanted. He went above and beyond to make us happy. Thank you Dan for a great home buying experience

When we tested the water dispenser during walk through, but it does not work after we moved-in. It took 3 weeks to get someone from home warranty team to fix it. It turned out some dirts get into fridge water filter and blocked the water flow. Since the water filter is not in the warranty so we have to spend $50 to purchase a new one to replace the one that was new, but we could not use.

Richmond is very restrictive. They make no allowance for any changes or upgrades.

Bought a Richmond American home in Paintbrush Hills subdivision in Falcon CO. Sales staff was very helpful and project manager was ernest about resolving what few Issues I had before closing. The cost of the home was reasonable considering how expensive housing has gotten in Colorado. From the time we signed a contract to closing was really fast as long as I was prepared to get the lending depart everything to them promptly.

I'm a retired flooring installer, purchased 8 homes ( 4 new) over 42 years. Quality between builders has closed to where it's hard to distinguish between them. Richmond in my opinion has always been the better choice. My house purchase was a track home of medium level upgrades, not fancy but not entry level. Pleased with quality, energy efficiency, and design. Price was better than most other builders in this area. Would choose them again.

I would never buy from this company again. It’s so unfortunate with majority of the builders in Las Vegas hire out for teams to build all their homes, and these teams are so lazy and they’re rush to build these homes. The lending process is a joke they don’t communicate. Choose your own title company, the title company they choose, which is called Ticor Title is also a joke. Here’s my advice! Find your own agents don’t trust theirs! They work for the company and their best interest is the company! 1. Real estate agent 2. Loan agent 3. Home Inspector 4. Title company

My realtor found this community for us, and it is perfect! From my first meeting with Victoria and Betty in the sales office, to having discussions with the Assistant Superintendent, Manuel and finally at closing with Robert our Home Care Specialist, everything went smoothly, and everyone was professional, helpful and welcoming to the community. We are very pleased with our purchase in this new phase of living!

Been in the house now for four weeks all the issues written up to get repaired prior to moving none of them have been completed. Your promises made have not been lived up to.

I really enjoyed my home buying experience with Richmond Homes. Even when my closing date was pushed back several times, Richmond Homes continued to work with me and my lender. For that I am truly grateful and really love my new home.

The sales and management team were supposed to have all issues resolved before closing date on November 27, 2024 and I am still waiting on them to finish everything!

We received quality service in all matters in purchasing our new home. All our concerns were met and dutifully taken care of very quickly.

Out of all the homes that I looked at, Richmond American Homes offered the best quality at the best price. Also, this was the only neighborhood where the current residents greeted me. I was impressed. I decided to buy the house that same day.

I would not buy from RIchmond. We just recently purchased and unfortunately bought the home before the home was complete. The materials are very cheap and there was no way to change anything before it was put it. We are very disappointed with the purchase and would not buy from Richmond again. The only thing good so far is the yard and the responsiveness to issues.

This is a second time I bought house from Richmond America.
