There is no customer service or help with anything after u close. Need a 30 day walk through for warranty and have had no contact with any about this and no one returns phone calls.

During the lead up to signing the contract to build, there were often times that were a bit frustrating related to the pricing of the home and different decisions that Richmond made and changes during our lead up to signing. By the time we were ready to sign RA instituted a fee to be able to choose our own options. The alternative was to let Richmond pick our options. When we inquired about pricing for their high medium and low options for their spec homes they couldn’t give us prices. Additionally, they were going to pick all the structural options so we kind of fell between a rock and a hard place. When it came to being able to choose the home we wanted we had to pay a $25,000 premium to get to the point where we could do that. Ultimately once we signed the building process was relatively smooth. There was a hiccup in the design center where a flooring option that was not included in any pictures or discussions we had was included on the final contract and we did not catch it. Once the wrong floor was put in we brought it to the attention of RA. They were slow to respond and when they finally did their answer was to charge me $1200 and delay the closing. If they had handled this and responded earlier in the process we wouldn’t have had to delay closing. I felt like this is an opportunity for Richmond to realize that they played a part in this mistake too. They took no accountability and offered a solution too late. Great quality quick move in

Wanda and Donnie worked great. The financial team of the house was not that great in the beginning but picked up along the way.

Great experience overall some minor things to be fixed and they responded in time.

Our process started in June and we made multiple trips from Iowa before we made a decision in September. Scott was available for us whenever we had questions and helped make our move to Colorado happen.

Maceo has been great with follow through and communication. He has been 5 stars. Our only negative is when a trade or contractors lack has said they would be there they have dropped the ball and not followed through on a couple of occasions. I think the general foreman should have more of a say in what contractors are used. In the long run this can effect or put a negative image on the company.

Oliver is wonderful and truly one of the best parts of purchasing with Richmond. He is there for every little thing you need. Incredible communication. The cons: there were a few miscommunications with their mortgage company relating to their incentive. Also the workmanship could def. be better. They will fix everything you ask so it seems they rely heavily on waiting until you ask for it. Overall, the community will be lovely and we are happy with our purchase so far.

It was great, and hope the other home buyers feel the same.

Better don’t go to Richmond preferred lender. It’s a life long traumatic experience. They operate with a selfish, customer don’t care approach. It’s haunting and my body became weak due to huge stress.

We had great experience from the step in the office to closing the deal for our beautiful house. Would like to thanks Brian for his high professionalism and expertise, best ever we received after checking so many communities and houses. The entire process was so smooth ,easy and in a very tamely manner ,highly recommending Richmond American Homes.

It is a nice home that meets our needs. The sales agent was untruthful which was unfortunate The many issues with the home have not been addressed with the exception of the lack of electricity in two rooms

It wasn’t even ready by the time I signed. The seams of the wall can be seen through the paint, there’s dust every time i use my microwave. They didn’t have bedroom lights/fans. Numerous other issues.

Very disappointed with the construction of our home. Absolutely no quality control during the construction process.

We are mixed in how we feel about our journey with Richmond American Homes. On one hand, the home is beautiful and we are enjoying getting settled in (we started moving in 1 month ago). On the other hand, had we known what we know now - we won't have purchased this home. The model home and the sales agent, Taylor, led us to believe that our new home would have features/details that it doesn't have. These details mattered to us greatly and convinced us to go with this builder. We were and still are deeply disappointed with the numerous features/details that we don't have. We had an amazing experience with Beverly, our sales associate. She was so communicative and helpful from start to finish! We were very happy with Adam, our construction manager. He ensured any concerns or flaws we noticed in our walkthrough were completed by closing. We love our house and neighborhood.

Experienced a leak from exterior melted snow water into my basement within 2 days of moving in. BRAND NEW HOME Lack of build quality resulted in water damage to the interior window sill, padding, carpet and baseboards. I am not able to get clarity on where issue is coming from so it can be remediated. Weeks later, I am still working to get it resolved.

Flodd Zone Where to even begin...I found out about flood insurance by the finance team that called me to keep me on pace for closing on the home. I was shocked and frustrated that we were a few weeks into the procedure and just finding out about flood zone and insurance required. I vented my frustration over the phone and they asked me. "Have you spoken to your sales associate? They should be able to tell you all of this." When I asked Jay he had no information on it. He just would tell me to sign the emails as they come through. I had to call several other people who work in Richmond to get the answers I needed. Solar I kept getting emails from solar company asking about my experience and satisfaction with their product and company but didn't even own the house yet. When I emailed them Oct 14th asking when I could talk to someone about making sure it was purchased and not leased I was informed that they were "in between establish credit and lease processes" and someone would contact me "later". I asked Holly Frost who was handling our mortgage loan to make sure she had us down for a purchase. I also asked her about the solar itself and she also asked, "Have you spoken to your sales associate?" Again i tried to talk to Jay about it but not helpful. Now on December 3rd I get an email from the solar team stating they have me down for a lease not a purchase. Home Insurance As soon as we started the paperwork for purchase of the home i went and contacted an insurance agent and submitted details on the home to get insurance as soon as possible. Two weeks later I start receiving emails from someone that claims to work with Richmond to help me with insurance. I responded that I didn't need help as I had already done the legwork and was good on insurance now. They responded, " I advise you reach out to your sales associate, because you are taking incentives for closing from Richmond you are required to use me for insurance." Everyone working in richmond that I communicated with made it seem as though Jay would have the answers but Jay did not disclose any of these things to me and my mental and physical health both began to deteriorate while I was still driving to San diego for my job. I have been through chemotherapy for cancer in 2022 for 6 months and that was easier to do than this process at richmond. ... More

Jessi is absolutely the best! She has gone above and beyond. Our experience with the sales process has been top notch. We haven't moved in yet, so answering the questions about the materials, value, and responsiveness are difficult to answer at this time. I really don't have enough information, so I chose the middle rating. I wish I could have sent the review without having to give a rating for each item. I suspect they will be all be 5 stars once we get settled in.

The house is perfect. No problems.

I have enjoyed my experience with Richmond overall! The staff at the Willow Springs Ranch location have been kind, non-pressuring, and present throughout the process. I would have appreciated greater clarity on some of the billing processes and a few more little fix-ups after noticing some minor problems upon moving in. These things have been minor, however, and I would highly recommend buying a home with Richmond!
