Purchasing/ management side was fantastic! The only downside is the builders. When I pointed things out to fix, the builders would cut corners ie. Asked for large rocks & trash removed from crawlspace. Later found out they moved it into a dark corner and put plastic on it to hide the issue... be sure to check EVERYTHING you point out to fix because if they think they'll get away with it they'll try to... their manager was good though I blame the workers.

That the builder gave a good warranty on their products.

The purchasing process was AMAZING! However some of the appliances were or are still defective or damaged! Some of the shrubs are dead and have not been replaced the Patio door only works on one side and will not lock! There are some cosmetic issues as well! The concrete is still red from the mud in the area. I was promised it would be cleaned however the homes around me that have not sold have all had their concrete pressure washed and they passed right by me! Have a defective window and was told a new one was ordered before we moved it! Still has not been replaced! I am pretty easy going but getting very frustrated with the lack of response to the issues! ... More

Richmond Homes was our first experience purchasing a home, and overall, it was excellent. Our sales associate, Myesha, was highly knowledgeable and guided us through every step required for the purchase of the new home. She was always available to answer our questions, and we felt confident knowing we were in capable hands. After closing escrow and receiving the keys, we had the opportunity to meet Jerry and Rigo. They provided a detailed walkthrough of the home, pointing out any flaws they had already identified and initiated work orders for. They also explained the warranties and maintenance requirements for various materials in the home. When we later noticed a few additional issues with the craftsmanship, they were quick to assist, either addressing the concerns directly or placing work orders for repairs. Richmond American Homes team helped make buying our first home a great experience. We’re gracious about helping us through the process.

The paint contractor did a horrible job and cleaned his paint brushes in the kitchen sink! All the doors in the house have issues with paint splatters and don’t look like they were cleaned or sanded before painting. Upstairs bathroom has a piece on the bottom of the door coming off (can’t be replaced because it was seen at walk through! Puddling water between the houses.

I am pleased with the home (Alexandrite Floorplan). The construction manager is mostly responsive to questions, repairs, and concerns now but wasn't very responsive in the beginning. It takes tenacity on the part of the homeowner to get things addressed. The community is better than most because the homes have substantially different exterior designs than most new communities. It's not as "cookie cutter" as other communities. The interiors are also nicer than most builder grade new construction. The high ceilings and quartz counter tops are a nice touch. The closets could use more shelving and are a bit on the small side. The sales staff are friendly and responsive. Their mortgage company is fast and responsive. ... More

Jessi is absolutely the best! She has gone above and beyond. Our experience with the sales process has been top notch. We haven't moved in yet, so answering the questions about the materials, value, and responsiveness are difficult to answer at this time. I really don't have enough information, so I chose the middle rating. I wish I could have sent the review without having to give a rating for each item. I suspect they will be all be 5 stars once we get settled in.

Concern Regarding Wall Issue in My New Richmond Home I specifically chose to purchase another Richmond home because of the exceptional experience I had with your team when I bought my first Richmond property. While the new home is stunning, I have significant concerns about the quality of construction in one area. The wall above the fireplace is visibly uneven, something that was not immediately noticeable during the walkthrough but became apparent on the first day we hung a television. Being informed that this issue is not covered under warranty—just two days after closing—is both surprising and disappointing. I have always associated Richmond with superior quality and service, which is why this experience feels especially disheartening. It gives the impression that Richmond’s commitment to homeowners ends at closing, which I hope is not reflective of your company values. ... More

The home is wonderful. We had a great experience purchasing the home. The only thing we have had trouble with is responsiveness to issues, but it is in the process of getting fixed.

The salesperson and loan officer are very helpful and responsive. Catered to me every step of the way. The only thing that got me were the placements of the thermostat upstairs and downstairs. Both are only about 42 inches from the floor. Way too low for me. I’m 5’8 and my son is over 6 feet. I am a disabled veteran and I can’t see LCD screens unless they are straight in front of me. I asked for them to move it higher as like any other new or old homes I’ve been to that I and all I got was static and a definite no. I looked at all the other Richmond American homes in my neighborhood and non are happy about it. Other than the usual few scoffs here and there for minor mistakes and mishaps, the thermostat really bugs me the most even just by looking and thinking about it. I have a brand new home and apparently it is made for very short people to have the thermostat close to eye level. Finger and hand prints all over the place and the garage not painted inside. Only 2 drawers in the house. Just cabinets with no drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms. Other than that, I love my new house. I just wish they can fix the small things such as raising a thermostat. We had a great sales representative, Allison at Tributary. She was so easy to work with and responded to all of our questions. On the warranty side, we still have some outstanding items that need to be addressed. Hopefully they will be completed soon.

Davine has been exceptional throughout the entire process of the buying process. However on the backside of the sale the company has been very slow to correct the final walkthrough issues. It has been a month since move in and there are still items not corrected

Amazing home! Love the house and the design. The community is perfect and everyone is very friendly.

The experience with the sales person Zack was great and with all others during the purchase process! Now that we are in not so good sent work order for things that needed to be fixed and have not been contacted yet! We need some major things fixed like a pipe in our roof that just goes into the attic but connected to nothing. I can see light around my front door, garage door into house does not latch properly as other doors have same issue. We have a trusses in the attic that is cracked etc. sure would like these things fixed. Also if you want an independent inspection done make sure you set it up with plenty of time at least 3 to 4 weeks so they can do all their checks on the inspector. Working with Suzanne was an absolute pleasure. As a first-time homebuyer, I appreciated her advocacy and the knowledge she shared throughout the process. Her expertise and dedication made buying a home manageable and enjoyable! However, I’ve faced some challenges with home care and communication with the superintendent and others. While these issues have been frustrating, I am hopeful they will be resolved soon. Nice guy, but probably busy, but I only care about the end result ultimately. The paint and baseboards are abysmal. Not a huge fan of the gaslighting by one of their other reps during the walkthrough. Again this is a home care thing, and I’ll just deal with my warranty. No biggie. Despite these minor setbacks, Suzanne’s support made a significant difference, and I am grateful for her help in finding and securing my first home!! ... More

The workmanship on my home is very poor, I’ve already had a few issues and we have lived in the home 4 weeks. Thankfully the warranty side has been fairly responsive and quick with repairs.

Overall a very easy process getting in the door. After close though, we have reached out a couple times trying to get rollover items and inspection issues addressed with no response. To be fair we have only tried communicating directly and have not gone through warranty. The issues are also minor, primarily being paint touch ups.

The house is very nice, beautiful design, interior, and exterior. However, I wish they clean inside more throughly. There are area were not throughly clean, scratches, stains from working on the house, and scratch on the appliances. When the buyer wants to buy, we expect the brand new place spotless.

Overall pretty happy with the home. Found alot of little details that will need to be addressed for warranty

Great financing and shopping experience. Warranty is slacking on coming out and getting in contact with me. Submitted a water damage request over two weeks ago and have yet to hear back.

I still have a lot of pending issues that need to be fixed, it’s been almost a month now since I requested them. Some of the issues never get resolved like the crack wood that support the roof.
