We had a great experience from start to finish! Andrew was a pleasure to work with and was always available to chat… even on his days off. We purchased from out of state and he held several virtual house walks that helped our buying experience. We also paid for a 3rd party inspector who came back and said “this is one of the best new construction houses he has seen in years”! This put us at ease. And even though there are always little things that come up after closing, they are always quick to react and have addressed everything! Nick with the warranty team have been great. Do not trust superintendent in charge of getting home ready for move in.

We feel that the motto was “ build a home For as inexpensive as we can. No way to hook up a water softener No way to make changes when the house hasn’t even been framed ( little changes even) Heating registers are at the bare minimum

The selling staff was great. Always on top of any situation. After buying, the customer service for service calls is a little difficult to work with. But overall a good experience

Throughout the building process we were treated as disposable buyers. Our concerns, questions, requests, all fell by the wayside. The project took longer than expected and it was costly for me and my family. At no point, including now, has Richmond reached out in attempt to make things right. We found the right lot in a great spot so we stuck it out. I do not recommend choosing Richmond if you're hoping to be wowed with customer service and support. At move in- Our home was not move in ready clean, the AC wasn't hooked up fully, showers weren't fully caulked, drywall repairs weren't completed, insulation buttoning wasn't completed in the basement, a white pvc pipe is still protruding from a drain in my entry way that was supposed to get fixed, counter top decorative mounding fell off right after move in, they painted the washer hookups making it a task to get a seal, wrong towel rack was installed in a bathroom and it was never fixed.. again we got a great lot in an awesome spot. We do think the house is pretty and was built with quality materials. The issue was the customer service, the follow ups, the delays, being ignored etc. ... More

Austin was a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and Very friendly. He answered any and all questions I asked. He made himself available and always returned calls or texts. He kept me up to date once a week during the building process and even sent pictures. I would highly recommend him to my friends or family looking for a new home. He is an asset to this company for sure.

Quality of work is horrific. It would not take much extra effort to do good work but nobody seems to care. Truly sad.

We’ve been living here for a month now and have had a few important issues that have yet to be resolved. I get the typical response to shut me up and continue to drag the issue on. Then I get timeframes during the day that never get concluded either. I’m really frustrated and not sure what else to do in order to get real traction on the repairs that are needed.

Buying the house was a new experience for me, the process went very smoothly, the sale people were very honest and always explained everything in depth I highly recommend this company to everyone

Overall, I am satisfied. I was very happy that I don't have to pick colors, lighting, accessories and etc. The only thing that I do not like is that I could not make any changes for elderly/disable access to go in and out of the house and the bathrooms.

The purchasing experience was really easy, and the team helped me through the entire process. Any issues I had where taken care of promptly. Overall a good experience.

Landscaping is POORLY designed. Walk thru inspection tasks are not completed on time. ARC Requests do take LONG time for approval.

Have had some post closing issues that have not been addressed.

Our experience buying our first home has been extremely disappointing. We were thrilled initially and didn’t catch every detail, but since moving in, we’ve faced issues daily. From a curved wall and crooked outlets to holes in the walls and sloppy paint with drops all over the parquet, the quality has been dismal. The laundry machine was also damaged. It’s obvious they rushed to finish the build just to get paid, without attention to quality or care. This has turned what should have been a happy milestone into a constant frustration. We wouldn’t recommend Richmond America to anyone.

The process was difficult and stressful the lenders are like robots who don't care then call for double or triple documents and the automated system never stops worst experience I've had dealing with a company

When buying a home remotely from Richmond American Homes, I expected a certain level of support and care, especially as a buyer. Unfortunately, the experience has left much to be desired. I closed on my home without being present for the final walk-through or the first two weeks of ownership, trusting that all was in good condition. Shortly after moving in, I discovered that three trees had fallen on the property while I was absent. I asked the builder to stand them back up, which they did, but the trees quickly died. When I reached out to report this, hoping Richmond American Homes might assist with replacement, I was informed that they were not responsible for landscaping after closing. While technically accurate according to policy, it’s disappointing that Richmond American Homes wouldn’t make an exception or even offer guidance for a remote buyer. Having to replace trees that were never healthy from the start is frustrating and doesn’t seem fair, especially given the lack of options for someone who couldn’t oversee every step in person. A bit of flexibility and customer support could have made a significant difference. ... More

Oliver is great to work with. He really helped me get into the place I wanted and helped insure all my conditions were met.

Jessica was friendly knowledgable and honest which we appreciated. One thing I wish was that we had known there were no customizations available to be made when we saw the model homes. Overall I’d rate the experience a 5 star rating. Looking forward to what the community will grow into.

It’s been a great experience! Very well built, quality home. The only thing I would request is options to certain upgrades such as linen closet cabinets, upgraded paint, patio cover and landscaping in the rear of the home .
