Pay attention to details, ask a lot of questions.

Have to say the homes are far nicer then any other developer ive seen. I've been looking for a new home that checks off many if not all the boxes for me. Richmond American was the only one even close.

Good workmanship and material.

We have been in the house for a little over a month and items are still not complete. In fairness, it is the holiday season and there is a lot going on but some of the items that could have been easily fixed or completed have not been completed. We have a good relatioinship with the team and they have been available for any 'must fix now' items. Looking forward to completing the warrenty work.

Brad will make your new home buying experience a joy. He is helpful, thorough and very responsive. The team made the experience very pleasant and I am very happy with the final result. Lots of material choices at the design studio with reasonably priced upgrades.

Good experience every step of the way when purchasing our new home. Raychel and Kevin were very knowledgeable and helpful during the decision process and after move-in.

Tom K, Zack K, Nick F, and Mike P were great representatives for Richmond. Love our new house. Only concern was inability to customize upgrades, very few choices were offered.

That will be amazing in less stress if the team members specially the one in Colorado do a brief description from the beginning to let the buyer know the expectations “paperwork “ to be more specific not every minute the one something as soon as possible that will be best for everyone in it will be best the get everything done after the do the closing.Mike from Orlando he’s the worst not pick up the phone not replying back when you text him I hope he treats everyone the same in equal because you need them in the depending on you also it’s was a learning experience for me to move forward Todd was amazing, Elene was amazing the go above in beyond ... From my initial research, Richmond American was not the top choice as a builder. Internet reviews indicated quality issues in other developments throughout the U.S. After talking to some of the residents of Lakeview Forest, I decided to take the risk. Happy to say my experience has been very good. From the Sales Office Staff (Austin & Lizzy) to the project manager (Carl) were responsive to any questions I had. The weekly updates with pictures were excellent. My only bad experience resulted from dealing with your affiliated insurance company. I think the job they did on the house was well done. Overall the quality is great. Some minor fixes are required, but overall great.

My superintendent is very professional and knowledgeable.

The home buying process was easy, and our sales person, Dale, was responsive and answered all of our questions. Janelle with the mortgage side of it was great! She was very responsive and patient with us as we worked through the process. We appreciated that. Our home tour was very thorough. Richard and Jared were very informative and have been great with follow up. We really like our 8 foot doors throughout our home, including the garage door. We especially love our paver brick driveway and patio. It adds a beautiful touch to the front of our home. The only negative would be that the cleaning of the home prior to move-in did not meet our expectations. We had to clean some things when we moved in….white grout residue on kitchen tile backsplash and tile in master bath shower. The floor tiles had some smeared grout and paint specks in some areas. First, shout out to Ken (Area Dir of Construction?), you rock. We wouldn't be here if you hadn't stepped in. The sales rep, Gina, was wonderful. I always felt she was working hard for us to have a positive experience. After adjustments were made to the field team and Cody took over, we felt there was very good organization and responsiveness up to the closing and then beyond the closing to complete items that needed adjustment/replacement. We love our new home and look forward to many years of enjoyment. Thank you Richmond American.

We love our home now that it is done. However, every builder has issues. Make sure you ask detailed questions, and don't expect everything in the model home to be included in the one you pick. One example is the closets, the model had nice shelving in all the closets. When we asked about it being included they said it would be "exactly like the model". they later stated that those closets are not an option and we had to pay to have them as a "custom change" Great floor plans, overall good quality, and a lot of value for the money you pay.

Suzanne was amazing!!! She was very helpful and knew all the information required. We used to come every other weekend to see the process since we were excited about the new house. I remember there was a weekend in which we couldn't come and she kindly sent us pictures (she noticed we didn't go on that weekend). The buying process was a little bumpy. We decided to used their lender and go through their people since I was told they all communicate with each other. At times I was overwhelmed because they kept asking me for things I had already submitted and it seemed they didn't communicate with each other at all. Overall a good experience, however I believe that due to Richmond trying to build too many homes as the same time that the attention to detail has been left behind. There where major issues on the day of closing that had to be corrected after moving in. All of the items have been completed but they should have been done on the day of close. If we had not needed a home to move into, it is possible that we would not have accepted the home the way that is was.

I wished the Richmond American homes builders would put quality materials and closets in these new build homes. The builders put wire shelves in the closets and pantry, which is the cheapest way to go. Just build it quality and put it back in the price if you have to. Now, the new home owners are forced to hire a contractor to add hanging poles and shelves in all closets and pantry. Plus, Richmond American homes builders should have added a coat closet in the front living room. Lastly, Richmond American homes builders should have made a small basement. These model home crawl spaces are huge and should have added stairs and made it a small basement for storage and for the furnace and hot water heater. ... More

Quality. Good craftsmanship. The Builder team very polite and professional.

My sales person Anthony was great! Followed up very well with my questions and paperwork. The superintendent Brian has been very helpful. However, the title company dropped the ball, very delayed forms, I only had 2 days. Big rush.

We purchased our first homes from Richmond. The long and stressful process was marred by the sales associate, as she was inattentive and careless. She failed to order the appliances, so we had to remind her of them. They were delayed and arrived late, so we had to discard all of our refrigerated groceries upon move-in. We explained the situation to her, and she simply ignored our calls and emails. We still have not received an apology from her. Overall, we are happy with our home, and we love its design and layout. The paint job was done poorly, as it will take a while for us to remove all the pain splattered on all outlet covers, stove, baseboards, and doors. ... More

The salesman and construction super were great. But the subcontractors who actually did the work are sloppy and don’t have very much regard for the mess they leave for the new owners. There was paint spatter throughout the house, exposed holes in the wall and ceiling, appliance not installed correctly, sink fixture not installed correctly, and the backyard littered with construction debris (nails, broken roof tiles, paint dumped on the ground), and plenty of cigarette butts. Most of this will be corrected, but the backyard is the homeowner responsibility. It will be a beautiful home, but only after the homeowner identifies the shoddy work of the subcontractors. ... More
