Our experience with Richmond home was outstanding. Customer service was on point took care of all our needs they took us through the whole process step-by-step, and are still in communication with us after our purchase helping us with whatever we need. Overall, our family is happy with everything.

Great people. Make our transition easy and less stressful. They guide and help us make everything memorable.

While we love our home and the build quality is beautiful, our overall experience with Richmond American Homes was disappointing. From the start, there was a significant lack of communication, which made the process frustrating and stressful. We often had to follow up multiple times to get basic information, and even then, responses were delayed or unclear. Additionally, I didn’t feel welcomed or valued as a customer. Buying a home is a significant life decision, and it was disheartening to feel like just another number to them. The home is okay. There could have been a lot more smarts used when planning the backyards. Why are the homes backyards sloped?? Well because they didn’t want to make the effort to actually level out the backyards & make the homeowners pay extra to have retaining walls built. The builder definitely cut corners on materials and craftsmanship when making these homes.

Unfortunately for us our experience with Richmond Homes has been bad from the beginning. From the lending process to moving in and finding over 40 to do items in our home that still 30+ days after move in are still not being addressed. Everyone has dropped the ball and seems not to care at all. I would not recommend this builder because they do not care about the workmanship of their homes.

I’ve lived here 6 weeks: The garage door remotes do not work to open the doors, I tripped a breaker using the garbage disposal. The AC does not cool my room. Plants and trees are dying in front yard that was on drip system, I have not received the screen door for my bedrooms slider glass door( it’s very stuffy in my room without AC and no screen on the door. The refrigerator I replaced, and the dishwasher due to inability to work properly. I am begging for help since I live by myself. I can’t afford all the out of pocket costs for things the builder supplied that did not work. Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, transparency and quality of work throughout pre/post home buying. Still waiting for several issues to get fixed that funny enough were identified by the super intendent. They are taking there sweet time and there is no sense of urgency. I understand many homes has several issues and I'm not the only one but that's where communication comes into place. Definitely feel like if I don't frequently stay in touch nothing will be done. Going on 2 months now trying to fix things prior to close. May need to file some ROC complaints.

Whole team did a great job. Builder, lender, warranty person and agent. Would recommend them to everyone.

the experience was not stressful very pleasant

As a real estate agent I’ve had many interactions with RAH. As a buyer I was disappointed RAH has stopped allowing buyers to select their upgrades and designs. This made our purchase a bit hard and honestly more expensive on the back end in order for us to get what we wanted. Do better Richmond. For the people giving you business. Your design teams don’t know it all and at times make errors and bad decisions ( like not putting windows on a wall with a MOUNTAIN VIEW). It’s not that important to build homes as fast as you can. THE BAD. Our house was filthy after closing. Workers used our bathrooms, broking promises by builder in regard to our driveway. Paint spots on carpet in every room. The tile floor had paint specks and excess grout and some type of adhesive spots. Bathroom counter top had silicone smudges all over them. THE GOOD, The neighborhood and residents are great. The house house has a good layout. The sales team and superintendent seem to care

Get everything in writing up front. Can't trust anybodys word.

My case went from first lot flooded and they did not tell me anything at all when I noticed i had to request a lot change they have very bad communication for the closing the house has a lot of details to be fixed thru warranty request and still yet had not contact me after the superintendent told me he would take care of it he later backup and ask for a warranty request lack of compromise just wont recommend them at all really let them be your last option

The quality of my new richmond america home is very disappointing. There were many, many issues during my initial walk thru before closing. Some major as the oven would not work without tripping the breaker. Since I would not sign off`on the home as is, the scheduled a final walk through 7 days later and said all issues would be taken care of. On my final walk through, only have of the items were fixed. I signed off only because I already gave my notice to move out but in reality I was wishing I wasn't in contract on this home. Since move in, there have been various issues found. Every time I wash clothes it trips the breaker, my flooring guy said all of the stairs were different sizes, there were many dings and dents in the walls, the cabinet wood tones were 2 different colors, a hump in the wall, etc etc. The quality of these homes is very poor. Have been very disappointed in the product I received for 700k. The workmanship is reminiscent of a lesser quality builder. Definitely will NOT purchase nor recommend a Richmond American home to anyone.

Garrett, Justin and the entire team were amazing! They made the whole process of buying our home so simple. They continued to provide excellent service even after we closed. We love our new home and highly recommend!

That will be amazing in less stress if the team members specially the one in Colorado do a brief description from the beginning to let the buyer know the expectations “paperwork “ to be more specific not every minute the one something as soon as possible that will be best for everyone in it will be best the get everything done after the do the closing.Mike from Orlando he’s the worst not pick up the phone not replying back when you text him I hope he treats everyone the same in equal because you need them in the depending on you also it’s was a learning experience for me to move forward Todd was amazing, Elene was amazing the go above in beyond ... physically reviewed home on sep 6th 2024 was told by real estate folks it was move in ready so the sign said on the home site asked if the accessories would be what this home would be and was told it was move in ready no way would i ever had thought between the 6th and the twenty third all would be change it was the old bate an switch very disappointed to say the least very unprofessional and probably illegall. RAH however did change my paper work to match what i presently have which shame on me i never looked but did sign however why would i when i was told move in ready still feel bate an switch don't know how much RAH saved by changing out all the trim an accessories hope it was worth it but i think iwas a cheap thing to do and it stinks ... Sales no help. Originally I worked with Moises whom was fantastic however the home I chose was not in his section after that I had to stay on sales to keep me posted. Then after move in 30 day review I am being ignored

There is so much to say but I am not going to waste my time typing it up as I know nothing will be done.

To who it may concern. We were never offered coach lighting now we see homes with them, we ask for some outlets to moves up for easier TV viewing (Pre Dry-wall) and could not get a response on the additional moving of the outlets. We would've paid for the modification if we needed too. Lots of builder grade materials and now the homes are lower in price with more upgrades. Just not a very professional experience at all for the wife and I!!

The salesperson and loan officer are very helpful and responsive. Catered to me every step of the way. The only thing that got me were the placements of the thermostat upstairs and downstairs. Both are only about 42 inches from the floor. Way too low for me. I’m 5’8 and my son is over 6 feet. I am a disabled veteran and I can’t see LCD screens unless they are straight in front of me. I asked for them to move it higher as like any other new or old homes I’ve been to that I and all I got was static and a definite no. I looked at all the other Richmond American homes in my neighborhood and non are happy about it. Other than the usual few scoffs here and there for minor mistakes and mishaps, the thermostat really bugs me the most even just by looking and thinking about it. I have a brand new home and apparently it is made for very short people to have the thermostat close to eye level. Finger and hand prints all over the place and the garage not painted inside. Only 2 drawers in the house. Just cabinets with no drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms. Other than that, I love my new house. I just wish they can fix the small things such as raising a thermostat.
