We purchased our first homes from Richmond. The long and stressful process was marred by the sales associate, as she was inattentive and careless. She failed to order the appliances, so we had to remind her of them. They were delayed and arrived late, so we had to discard all of our refrigerated groceries upon move-in. We explained the situation to her, and she simply ignored our calls and emails. We still have not received an apology from her. Overall, we are happy with our home, and we love its design and layout. The paint job was done poorly, as it will take a while for us to remove all the pain splattered on all outlet covers, stove, baseboards, and doors. ... More

We have had good interactions with all staff. We are not complete with our punchlist items, yet, but feel very certain that all will be remedied. We have struggled in our move and in our health, so we have not been as available as we would’ve liked. But we are moved in totally now, and looking forward to getting everything resolved in due time. Thank you for all your help.

Overall great experience. A few issues with the quality of the build, however the home care specialist so far has been very responsive and extremely helpful with our home warranty repairs.

First time buying a brand new house, I thought I could customize which wasn’t the case. We start the house from scratch and they told us, they already ordered everything, so no changes. However, we love the house despite some requests that they were not able to adjust. We worked with Steven, the saler, he is very knowledgeable and always available whenever we needed him even now. I will recommend Richmond American Homes. Also they have a great APR that you will never found anywhere. That’s the big reason we chose them. Thank you

The details you get for the price of the home is better than any other home we saw.

Excellent service and great environment

We love the floor plan. They were flexible with our requirements for closing. Has taken a couple of months to resolve all the build issues. None were overly major, but a lot of small things add up. There was also a disclosure issue surround the totally unnecessary HOA, whose existence and terms were not provided until after we closed.

While waiting for our home to be built, we watched too many YouTube videos about new homebuyer horror stories. Thankfully, that was not the case for us. Through the building of our home, we visited the site weekly, sometimes more frequently. Anything we saw during and between our formal walkthroughs was quickly addressed by our Sales rep and Building Supervisor. They readily responded to emails, calls, and text messages. Even while visiting another Richmond American home development, the Sales Rep gave us updates on our home and shared photos of its progression. During our next to last walkthrough we were asked repeatedly to open and close doors, turn on faucets, turn on and off every light switch. Our Sales rep even stood outside with us waiting for the last minute repairs to be done so escrow could close and to give us our keys on schedule. Even after our closing, the Building Supervisor has been responsive to our calls and texts. The one star ding regarding responsiveness to our issues is due to our not having heard back after submitting our list of repairs 10-days after our move in. To date post move in repairs are minimal. It was great overall. However, it would have been better if I was informed that there is no internet service in the community before moving it. It's been a month without internet.

The salesman and construction super were great. But the subcontractors who actually did the work are sloppy and don’t have very much regard for the mess they leave for the new owners. There was paint spatter throughout the house, exposed holes in the wall and ceiling, appliance not installed correctly, sink fixture not installed correctly, and the backyard littered with construction debris (nails, broken roof tiles, paint dumped on the ground), and plenty of cigarette butts. Most of this will be corrected, but the backyard is the homeowner responsibility. It will be a beautiful home, but only after the homeowner identifies the shoddy work of the subcontractors. ... More

We had a good experience with Richmond American and the house we were provided with we like a great deal; we believe it meets our needs and expectations for the most part. Their customer service is impeccable, and all follow up and questions are addressed promptly. Yet, there are improvement areas in terms of attention to detail in the workmanship as well as the follow up of rollover items pre and post move-in that need to be addressed to make the experience great and completely satisfactory.

Make sure Josh is your construction manager, he will take care of you and make sure your home is built correctly.

Linda was amazing throughout our process. We could have used more time of a second visit at the design studio as we felt rushed through that process. Over all things were great on the site. The walkthroughs were great, the only thing I would change is maybe more of them. Since the house took some time to complete this would have just kept us a bit more in the loop. After being in a month things look great. We have addressed a few issues with the month follow-up and will see how they are taken care of. It has been a great experience for us and would recommend.

Sales representative and Mortgage lender were excellent to deal with. House was already built. Cheap cabinetry, cheap appliances.

I didn't get involved in the building of the house but the size is what I needed.

Georgine was great. Customer service was top notch. Kept me in the loop throughout the process. There was one issue but Luke and Georgine handled it. Richmond American Homes cares about their buyers and made sure I was happy.

From beginning to end, the Richmond American team have been attentive to detail and had the best communication with my husband and I during the home buying process. The sales agent, super intendant and home care specialist were always professional, personable and was always available to answer my questions.

From the very beginning, walking into the office, Jessica was inviting and knowledgeable. Very professional in dealings with me, as I was in la la land. Everyone was responsive to any questions or concerns that I had, this is including Home American Lending. The quality of the builds, for the price range I am in, is unmatched by other builders. Any issues that arose was probably because of my situation, retiring and purchasing at the same time. The builds are actually remarkable. This neighborhood in particular is going to be smaller, and is really diverse, which is truly appreciated. In closing, everyone involved from start to finish worked diligently, answered all questions, and seemed to be rooting for me through all this twists and turns of the home buying experience. Our Experience was good overall. The only issue we ran into was when it came to the walkthough. The project manager was not being helpful at all with the issues we found during the building process. We were told that it was just that way by the project manager. We ended up having to reach out to a regional rep to get the issues taken care of.
