Our overall experience was great. Terin was exceptionally great. She was on top of every one of our needs. Even when our loan officer Alyssa made it difficult in every way during the process, Terin was always there going above and beyond what her duties were to get us information and help that we needed in order to close our home. Some of the best customer service Lauren and I have ever experienced. We are forever in her debt. There are some things with the home that we are upset about since being in the home but no house is built perfect and we understand that and have learned a lot through ...

We’re very happy in our new home and are pleased with the work put in to it. This was our first time building a home so we were learning along the way. Our biggest struggle was in the beginning. Our sales agent did not cash our check for the lot we wanted and was difficult to get answers from in a timely manor. About a week later, she responded by saying another couple had purchased that lot. We don’t understand how she wouldn’t have known that before we gave her a check for more then $20,000. We tried on another lot she advertised and wrote a new check. She came back to us later saying that ...

We are please with our new Richmond house. The only complaints is we did not have the ability to select any options structural or otherwise. Also, although we knew upfront, the lot sizes for the most part are less than what we would prefer.

Untrustworthy Insurance Agent

Overall, mostly positive experience. The sales, and construction team were professional. The only exception was the representative for American Home Insurance, who recommended and attempted to push the highest possible insurance and underwrote a policy for $750K for a $500K loan. Needless to say, it was cancelled immediately after closing. Only minimal items noted after move-in. For example, ship item sticking up from under carpet in one room.

Decent Home in Bridle Park at Alamar

Been a month since moving into our new home and there were a few minor issues and the warranty department is pretty responsive. While the house look and interior feel is good, can't help but notice some of the low end products used in construction, which is pretty common with today's track home builders. Got the benefit of the rate buy down, which helped a lot. Field staff, Chuck Salo and Manny Tacho were very responsive, approachable and helpful. Loan processing team members, Jennifer and Darcie provided excellent and responsive service. Not a good experience with their Sales Rep Sonja (is a ...

Qualify home and best experience till you close

High-quality workmanship and materials. Everything is great until you close. But the final walkthrough was not great; they didn’t deliver or fix all the touch-ups. They were nice until you signed the tour dues sheet. After that, the response was poor and communication was unclear. You have to follow up a lot. I recommend not signing the tour dues sheet until 100% of the work is done. The closing experience was okay, not great.

It took the painter a month to come back and paint the trim they missed and the front door. Still waiting for the screen door people to come by a adjust the screen door. Waiting to hear back from dishwasher installer to come back and level the dishwasher so the door doesnt keep flying open.

We bought a spec home with a lot of imperfections including several bent and crooked walls (very obvious to see at first glance) sloppy overspray and cabinets all need adjusting. The home itself is beautiful but sloppy craftsmanship with the subs being utilized on the spec home. Customer service is doing their best to fix everything

It was a less expensive starter home and a quick build. You can see where corners were cut. But expected that going in. Sales rep "stretched" some details about the buying process which forced me to double check everything. Building superintendent James was great.

I really love the home itself, but getting issues identified during inspection addressed has been a real pain. The process feels slow and frustrating, and it takes way too much follow-up to get things resolved. The house is great, but I wish the post-inspection support was smoother, more responsive and reliable.

We love the neighborhood and most aspects of the house. The employees have been top notch. The location is good and the spacing between the houses is nice and that is what enticed us to purchase. The overall quality is not great. Its obvious Richmond is mainly concerned about low costs by using cheap supplies and not finishing key rooms like the laundry room. The cement in the basement is obviously not level and you can feel it even under the carpet and pad. Speaking with neighbors they experience the same issue. This is 2025, leveling cement is not a new technology. Its clear low cost ...

Overall I really love my house and I would provide a mostly positive review for Richmond American Homes. The sales folks and financing team really made the process easy as a first time homebuyer and I think I got a good price and deal on my house. The house did not have window blinds and did not have a screened in back pation, but after I insisted to have that installed prior to purchasing the home the sales staff agreed, which saved me the time and money of installing those myself. The post purchase process has been good but I was a bit let down after I inquired about horrible weed ...

Easy buying process

It was an easy process using their lender. One thing I would say to someone buying with appliances included, make sure you know what appliances your getting. It will not be what's in the model. This was a problem for me because they provided the cheapest appliances they could. Some of the items pointed out during walk thru, they seemed to always have an answer why it can't be done. Some of the smaller things they said would be done was not. Put everything in writing even things they say they provide, like more barkdust, cleaning, and pressure washing before move in.

My home buying experience was phenomenal due to my real estate agent helping me. The overall home of lantana is average. The house is obviously build quickly to have many customers move in. The quality is not $460k, but that is something most people will need to realize is the norm. The structure is not the same quality as older homes but I accepted it. It is a good starter home.

So we love the house and the location. The floor plan is exactly what we have wanted for years and the community is quiet and will be great as we move into retirement. Material quality if very good although I marked down worksmanship because of the many sloppy minor errors made that had to be fixed. I've gone through several houses and honestly the subcontractors need to just care a little bit more and take a little more time. Overcutting holes in drywall, sloppy painting, messy work areas, breaking windows, etc. Just ongoing slopiness that ultimately wastes money. For ...

Jason, the salesperson for our area, did a very good job. He's pleasant to work with and a good communicator. The house itself is exactly what we wanted and we like it very much. Because of the price point, everything is not high quality, but acceptable. We are impressed with the carpet/pad, stove and dishwasher. The real issue is quality of workmanship - it is not very good overall. Many problems are easily avoidable if workers took didn't splatter paint, grout on the tile (use drop cloths or paper!) and used the correct chemicals to clean silicone, adhesive, etc. off the floor rather than ...

The house buying process was overall smooth and without difficulty however; there are still some unresolved issues with the house that haven't been addressed in a satisfactory time frame. When we came to look at the house, the sales rep was fully invested and responsive to questions. After pre qualifying for the loan and moving forward the communication became lack luster. after closing and moving in with issues the communication became almost nonexistent. The builder also used rocks to cover that part of the walk way has a giant gap missing in the corner, garage door seal doesn’t seal flush and can’t really be fixed, they stoped doing finished basements because of a sprinkler system. The house market is high currently and I feel as our home probably should be around 400k at ...

Poor landscaper contractor directions, low quality paint issues, no caulk around the bathroom trim. Construction Superintendent only concerned about his timelines and needs. He made commitments and failed to initiate contractors or work orders to complete them. Sales team was great to work with locally. Financial threats were made of $322.00 accumulated daily because the VA inspector would not release a positive inspection. VA required egress, stairs and landing from deck for a disabled veteran. Richmond finally put on three stairs and two papers to meet the requirements.
