Greg, my sales person was always available and willing to help with all my questions/concerns from start to finish. Superintendent was always communicating with me on a weekly basis and willing to help me understand the construction process. Mortgage banker and gallery representative poor communication, unresponsiveness and unprofessional attitude. A lot

It's an amazing home!!

We love our home. The preferred lender was really great. I feel like the builder agent could have communicated a bit better. It caused a delay of a few months and we had to spend several thousand on an apartment. They wouldn't sell us the lot we wanted because our down payment was contingent on selling our house. We went under contract for a different lot being very clear we intended to transfer to the lot we wanted if it was still available. The home we wanted was supposed to be finished late September/early Oct. But once we went under contract for the lot we didn't want, they stopped ...

Josh was fantastic. There were a few hiccups. It wasn't a great experience but it wasn't bad. House is great. Process felt really pushy so it was annoying to have to sort of block that off a bit. Overall Josh was great. Process was mediocre from a customer service perspective. Our home is awesome.

Most of the actual buying facts that we responded to were not correct or they were altered to fit Richmond Homes. We were told we were purchasing our home at 2.99 3.99 4.99, never happened. We put an additional $15,000 dollars down to qualify for all the great rates, but that dismal a difference either. We. Were quoted a price, and interest rate and payment from our sales person. They were not accurate and when we went back to question him he left quite. We had know one to help. Even though it was quoted in print it didn’t seem to matter. Then there is the flooding and poor excavation of our ...

Overall the experience was good for the situation we found ourselves in (military moving under tight timeline). Shania in sales was great, and really helped us find the best deal and perfect home. This was complicated by being remote movers, operating in a different timezone. Everything went smooth up until closing/final walkthroughs (really first walkthrough for us). Shania got those appointments sorted and it mostly worked out. Found out during final walkthroughs that inspections were still needed before turning keys over, that left some work to do before moving in (still waiting on it to ...

James was a great help as a project manager. He took care of seeing that all our concerns regarding the structure were handled quickly and correctly.

The solution to the problems at home has not been quick, I have had to adapt to the schedules established by the contractors and sometimes they have not gone to my house to solve the problems, in other cases the contractors have not responded, that is, I am in my new house and I cannot show it complete to my friends and family because there are still things to repair, I hope they solve it soon.

Susan, the community representative, was amazing with providing information and timely responses. We actually looked at 2 communities with her and our realtor. We chose to finance through the builder taking advantage of their interest rate incentive. That process was a little stressful, but once we found the right representative, the issues at hand were quickly resolved. All in all, we are happy with our purchase and the craftsmanship of the house.

We love the look of our home minus some interior finish workmanship on the inside. I’m sure it’s not normal for Richmond but we were blessed with a poor quality trim person on our house (Wasn’t good with corner work). Seemed as if they hurried to much in the final phase and quality dropped in the last days of finishing. Issues w/ mail not being able to be delivered, Internet service still not available w/ the company servicing our new neighborhood and zip code discrepancies. Seems as if they rushed to get the homes sold and weren’t quite ready. The sales office and builders/foreman are great ...

The home has high quality finishes and features. (Quartz counters, 2 a/c units, tankless water heater, paver driveway, double gates for yard, sherwin williams paint). My sales person was lazy. Handed me her master keys, no explanation or details. That is, when you could find her. Often I would go to the sales office and remnants of her were there - phone, purse, but her? No. I think she was fired, justifiably, before my close. Construction supervisor emailed saying I’d get weekly updates on the progress of the build. Got one in six weeks. If you asked him 3 questions, he answered one. ...

Dave has his hands full as the superintendent. He is on top of issues as well as his assistant Chris. The main issue is poor quality work done by contractors who obviously don't care about their work product. It seems they rush to get the homes put together and cut out quality over quantity. The employees of Richmond are always helpful and care about their service. I would not buy a new home again if this is the acceptable practice for contractors.

The whole process with Richmond American homes (and all the sister companies you have to work with) was pretty stressful. A lot of different people communicating with you and telling you different things. A lot of “this needs to be submitted by ——- or you could lose out on incentives” and they tell you that on a Saturday evening and say it’s due Sunday afternoon when everything is closed during the time you need to have it submitted. The fact that you need to use their sister companies to get the incentives but then sell your mortgage to a different company before you even makeyour first ...

Rushed through orientation and walk through. Agreed to do things and didn't. Learning much of the information he shared was inaccurate, so trust factor on remaining is at a low. Had an issue with the Garage door and when repairman came indicated hinges just needed oiled, but Contract Supervisor didn't know this? Basically he ruined an otherwise great experience with poor customer service.

Honestly the quality of the home mostly seems to be poor. The craftsmanship shows plenty of cut corners. We were lied about a free fence being installed in our backyard and then were quoted over $1000 by Richmond’s fence contractor. The air conditioner has yet to be installed 2 months after moving in and the installers of the HVAC system did a pathetic job. There are some nice features of the home but for the most part it’s clear this company is only after money and have no regard for the homeowner. Fortunately the superintendent of our community has always been helpful.

The buying experience begin smooth due to a wonderful realtor called Anastasia. Honestly if it wasn’t for her we would have walked away from the purchase a few times. During the process we were promised a few things that couldn’t or they did not want to deliver. We felt like they were just telling us what we wanted to hear so we could move forward with the purchase. The warranty person was great and super helpful, besides telling us what we wanted to hear. Sales person in office lied to us from the start which forced us to purchase the home we bought which wasn't our preferred location by telling us many many people had offers on the model home with the same floor plan, as they had accepted an offer on the model & had back up offers. After weeks of negotiating with the realtor for Richmond American homes we were finally ready to commit. On Thursday we had been in touch all day and I finally sent a text saying we were ready to go to contract. The realtor should have called me at that time and secured my earnest deposit He didn’t respond until the next morning by which time the price of the house had been raised 5k and no amount of proof that he was in the wrong made a bit of difference. We were fixed to pay the increase in price. He took the earnest deposit within a very short amount of time. Totally unfair selling ...

Your sales person was your typical sales person, very nice and friendly in the beginning till I signed on the dotted line. To this date, it does not give me updates on issues happening with services. An example is your shoulder company went bankrupt, she never bothered to contact me to let me know and has been dismissive whenever I have called with questions or issues. Your loan officer pretty much the same as your sales person was not responsive to questions. The manager had to get involved and I was not impressed with the speediness, the loan rate, and communication. Your homeowners ...
