Great value, Wendy and Braxton were great. The paint/drywall/trim contractors did a poor job.

Recently purchased my home in October with initially looking at the model in May, 2025. I was excited about the style home, as there was nothing like it in the DMV area. We were not provided consistent communication during the entire process. We were always told our house would be ready at the end of October and then told two months before that our house would be ready a month early. We based the initial timeline on what was being told of to us multiple times. It caused a lot of headaches and then having to pay nearly 2 weeks of penalties having to push back our closing. I would definitely ...

What should be a very nice home is actually somewhat of a nightmare. The home looked great initially, but after moving in and taking a closer look, I found so many problems, I hardly know where to begin: horrible stucco finish work, many ungrounded light fixtures, scratched appliances, front door not hung plumb, damaged grout, no screen door handle, no product shelf in the primary shower, I could go on and on.

I would have liked to have a person at the home realtor office helping out with qualifying for loans, signing and assisting on important papers. None of that was done, it was assumed that all people have computers, tablets, or phones. Everything was rushed and signed papers need to be signed at the last minute, late in the evening. When everything was done the gentlemen and the lady who presented the house, showed how everything worked and how to take of it and if anything need to be corrected give them a call. I thought that was good.

We very much like our home now that we are moved in however: we were give major misinformation and promised things in the sales process that couldn't be delivered in the actual agreement; preclosing fixes still have not been completed even though we have now been in the house 30 days, many excuses are quickly given when issues arise but action is slow.

Superintendent needs to inspect each phase of construction. Not wait for homeowners to have issue or call out as warranty. Nice home design although would think when spending this kind of money that finishes and workmanship would be complete. Have to take lots of time off work for warranty issues. Consider cost of time off to be available for appointments to correct issues that the superintendent could have completed during build. I do like the home but upset with the stress it has caused do to being tm treated as buying the home is a favor

My new home buying experience began with excitement. Things began to go wrong and the responses were addressed slowly or not at all: frame to garage door, electrical issues, closet bar holding clothes loosening and the insulation between the foundation of the house and the walls not completely sealed when the doggie door was installed. I’m currently awaiting for the compressor on the air conditioner to be replaced, the unit is completely out of service, which was really loud to begin with, but it was working.

I would like other home buyers to know never to buy a Richmond American Home. If you are thinking of buying in the Pendleton community, don't! The project manager has every excuse for the poor work. Also, don't trust that they will come back in 30 days. Several of our neighbors never got a 30 day follow up.

So it wouldn't post my first review probably because it was truthful but not favorable. I'll make this one short as it probably won't get posted either. 1, Do not believe anything from the assistant supervisor as it won't happen. If it comes from the actual supervisor you have a chance. 2, Don't let them blow off anything for the next deadline because that will never end. The first walk discoveries pushed till the final walk pushed to the 30 day and then pushed again and again. Two + months later and things that should have be handled before closing are still pending. All things could have ...

Any way, it seemed that he tried to tell the house as kindly as possible. But there are some defects like torn screen, stuck door, grasses, and what is surprising me is no plumbing on the deck roof. Rainwater was flowing like waterfall to the point of damaging grasses. Please see the site.

So far, overall, we like the home and the neighborhood. There were incidences for us that could have definitely been better. There are 2 problems we had purchasing this home. One being that before we moved in, we did our our first walk thru to blue tape any last-minute imperfections that could be addressed and very little of it was actually addressed and Jesse kept trying to divert my attention and make excuses as to why those things were'nt done. Im also pretty sure that he took all of the blue tapes off before I got to the Final Walk thru for those areas so i wouldnt notice. I believe ...

While the floor plan was good the quality was very poor. Who puts in a double vanity with no drawers? Cabinets are the worst with no handles to open them and only half shelves in lower cabinets. Local construction contact promises whatever and does not deliver.

Would highly recommend that home buyers have a pre-dry wall and final inspection and do not assume because it's new construction that everything is fine. My inspection revealed workmanship that would void the manufacturer's warranty.

Initial buying experience with the sales team and mortgage team were great. Since moving in it has gone downhill. Slow response or no response from our original Warranty person. Better response from second warranty person but little to no response from any of the trades who should be coming to fix any issues. It’s disappointing to spend this much money to be treated as if we don’t matter once the sale is closed. Overall we are happy with the house but are very disappointed in some of the quality and lack of timely service regarding issues beyond closing.

Before we moved in to the spec home, everybody wwas so responsive, so responsive. After that event especially when it comes to fixing things, even major things is absolutely negligent. You can't get a person on the phone or if they finally come out, they don't have the time to spend to look at and take into account. Leaking garage under door, inches space on roofing, uncentered doors, etc. So first, the workmanship. There are goods and bads. Labor quality is divided. Some do really bad job, some do excellent. It is up to who they contract. But it buffles me that they would recontract bad ...

Our house was built very fast. Because of the speed of the build, some details were glossed over. Window trim drywall is wavy around the windows. The painters that were used to paint our house are pretty bad. Many parts of the house had to be re-painted due to poor quality. The painters left a lot of paint spots on the floors and did not appear to use drop clothes while painting. The other problem is that they spread caulk and drywall on the carpet that I have been cleaning up. The ceiling drywall is wavy. Many parts of the house are finished with poor materials. 50 % of our door handles in ...

Walked through the model home and inquired about options, minor changes and or possible upgrades. I was informed that upgrades / changes were no longer available. So I verbally confirmed that the model home that we were observing was the home that we would be purchasing. Upon our walk through I identified that we were missing 2 electrical outlets in the pantry and master bedroom. I was informed by the general contractor that we should have those plugs. I was later informed that it was not on the electrical plans. I spoke with a number of representatives in finding a resolution in getting what ...

The buying experience wasn't too bad, but going through our "blue tape walkrhrough" we found many items that should have been done that weren't (marks all over the walls, window framing that never got painted at all, paint all over the LVP flooring, a closet door put on backwards). The morning we were set to close on our house we showed up to make sure all of the blue tape marks had been corrected, only to find out that the super intendent had shown up and re marked all of the same stuff cause it still had never been fixed. A month after moving in, we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink ...

When we tested the water dispenser during walk through, but it does not work after we moved-in. It took 3 weeks to get someone from home warranty team to fix it. It turned out some dirts get into fridge water filter and blocked the water flow. Since the water filter is not in the warranty so we have to spend $50 to purchase a new one to replace the one that was new, but we could not use.
