Horrible experience nothing that we said two months before the walk first walk still everything destroyed second walk still not fixed you get to signing still dangerous not fixed. The walk is just a waste of my time and money was pull out of money because of a ridiculous walk that the builder did nothing about, horrible experience

These houses scream one thing … CHEAP…. You would think when you pay 300+k for a new construction it would come with little to no problems Right ? WRONG …first off, irrigation was busted when I moved in , 2nd main bathroom had exterior leak… once u buy the house the communication is immediately cut inhalf… this house can’t go a month without an issue.. 3rd problem is floor creeks so badly in 3 different spots can’t use the bathroom without waking up the wife.. I was told this was “NORMAL” thing. LOL WHAT A JOKE… LYING through his teeth (won’t say who)…another thing is lights flicker when ac is triggered (even if light is switched off) meaning CHEAP start capacitor …LASTLY everyone in my neighborhood has a tap going to the fridge but mines don’t???? I’m sure they will ignore this issue to .. I will NEVER buy a house from Richmond again nor recommend anyone I know to do such a foolish move. 3 stars MAX ... More

THE PRE-SALE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD AND HIGH QUALITY. HOWEVER ONCE I SIGNED , THINGS FLIPPED AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE SALES AGENT AND THE WARRANTY PERSON HAS BEEN SUPER ROUGH. I WILL LIKELY THINK TWICE BUYING WITH RICHMOND AMERICAN AGAIN.

We love the location and floorplan of the home. The process to purchase the home was smooth. For the price of the home, I believe the builder used subpar finishes. No pendant lighting or room lighting other than outlets, no drawers in bathrooms, no backsplash. They've never repaired our slider that has a torn screen. It was on the check list but not corrected. Several items that should have been caught by at least the inspector, we are now waiting to have repaired through the warranty like no cold water in the kitchen. Who checks that? We didn't. Builder used poor quality of materials and couldn’t get defect kitchen island countertop and flaw garage door panel replaced soon. All wood material is MDF, not solid wood.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Our walk through was not done correctly. There was a few things that were not disclosed when we first looked at the house. Things that need to be fixed before closing werent, the super was no where to be found. The list goes on. The issues that got rolled over havent been fixed ,again super nowhere to be found. Took about 3-4 weeks of me calling around for information and finally got a hold of a gentleman that is now moving things along. I had a great experience with Richmond American. The whole process was smooth. I've been in my new home for over a month now. The house is amazing, the neighborhood is what I wanted. I think I made the right choice with this new construction in a beautiful location that is growing.

Stock homes only with no flexibility to alter the smallest detail. Material used and appliances are mostly dated. Sales team is pretty considerate but have no say with design. Designers likely work with limited SKUs but designs and materials need to be refreshed to current trends

The loan officers suck at their jobs and don't understand what a non-profit business is, this caused a lot of issues when purchasing a home

Carin from Richmond American Home was an Amazing salesman made for an easy care free buying experience. I give the hole buying experience a 10/10. Patricia from Guardian Title made for a smooth closing not one issue the hole time. Gave good information for easy care stress free Closing Day, also another 10/10. Can't express enough how they both made for best experience for buying my 1st home and a New build at that. Thanks and God Bless.

Working with Suzanne was an absolute pleasure. As a first-time homebuyer, I appreciated her advocacy and the knowledge she shared throughout the process. Her expertise and dedication made buying a home manageable and enjoyable! However, I’ve faced some challenges with home care and communication with the superintendent and others. While these issues have been frustrating, I am hopeful they will be resolved soon. Nice guy, but probably busy, but I only care about the end result ultimately. The paint and baseboards are abysmal. Not a huge fan of the gaslighting by one of their other reps during the walkthrough. Again this is a home care thing, and I’ll just deal with my warranty. No biggie. Despite these minor setbacks, Suzanne’s support made a significant difference, and I am grateful for her help in finding and securing my first home!! ... More

Ongoing major problems with plumbing, construction and final finish. Sales was not a good experience.

We had a great buying experience from Richmond American for our townhome in the Aurora Highlands. Thank you to Mick, the superintendent, who went above and beyond to present the house perfectly at closing and quickly attend to any loose ends after the sale. Having Mick as our superintendent really made our buying experience one of a kind and we would definitely recommend anyone to buy from Richmond American due to this.

I understand timing is everything. I was tired of living in a tiny apartment after I retired from the military. Why is it so hard to find an affordable house. Oh well, like the title implies, a good home at a tough time. There are areas of the house you can tell were rushed, the bath tub was scratched when it was installed, the frame doesn't line up near the entrance door, the ceiling was sagging in the master bedroom. You guys sold a $300 thousand dollar house for half a million dollars, at least you could have taken your time. Could have at least astro-turfed the backyard so it keeps the HOA off our backs. Stuffs expensive right now and needing to put in blinds, fans and a backyard takes a tole on any bank account. Anyway, I still love having a house and the energy efficiency is noticeable in the early summer months. ... More

It is a good looking house, there are some things that could be better, but the relation house/price is totally worthy.

The house is decent, even though there are some finishing touches that need to be resolved. There seems to be no policing of the contractors that are still building homes right across from us. We expected noise, that’s part of building new houses, however the constant music and the trash everywhere is ridiculous. The contractors also park wherever they want, including in front of our driveway. We have to abide by the HOA rules, but the contractors can do whatever they want, and it’s very frustrating to live next to!

The builders’ representatives are little concerned with pleasing or helping potential buyers, except as it gets a sale made. Different areas of the company don’t even know each other, much less communicate or work together. Someone in the higher leadership in this company could make a BIG difference by having serving others well the cultural foundation value.

My experience with Richmond American Homes was not the best. Our sales agent, Lizett, had significant communication issues regarding our closing and walkthrough dates. Despite her assurances, we frequently had to follow up, which was frustrating. Additionally, her explanations of the buying process were often unclear and misleading, though I believe this was not intentional. She would benefit from training to improve her communication skills and ensure her statements are accurate and clear. Overall, dealing with her felt very challenging. In contrast, the lender provided excellent communication, consistently following up at every step of the loan approval process. They were the highlight of this home buying experience. As for the home itself, it was satisfactory, but there were numerous issues identified during the inspection that were not addressed before our move-in date. We have been informed that some of these issues will only be resolved during our 30-day walkthrough. Overall, the level of service from Richmond American Homes needs significant improvement. ... Hi , thank you for building my dream house . However it would have been more cheerful if there was transparency in sales and mortgage team have handled professionally . My sales person ,All was good but I would have appreciated when I look at model houses would have told me what’s the basic model and upgrade model difference , how many lights I will be getting , am I getting 1 sink , extra cost for another sink approx . I came to know upgrades in gallery only . I have to buy solar panel and mortgage to have credits .i felt like there was no transparency. These little things was not transparent. My mortgage team Chris left my mortgage 4/5 weeks before closing date to let me know what’s interest rate I am getting . I was the person contacting Chris to give him ideas can I buy interest down? I clearly said in beginning to lock my interest rates but it wasn’t locked and was stated the other mortgage person left company in Dec. I was left crying ,mentally stress , exhausted at end of closing as I didn’t had enough time to shop around and my mortgage was not handled professionally and with best interest . I will never recommend this mortgage consultant to my friends or family . Jerry and Rigo were best people in your company who made me feel happy about my house and was involved in this process and shared every detail of my house . Ashley was great in gallery Aswell . And least when house owners get house keys , builder or sales give flowers /gift/ token of love / memory to homeowner like flowers . I was given Richmond bag with keys and congratulations .
