There are lot of issues haven’t been resolved! I found many many sharp nails under the curtain.My kids were poked by them when stepped on the stair. The screen fell off from the window frame. The door got twisted shape. It’s a horrible house!

Many small issues were not taken care of. We were told smoke detector batteries were replaced. They were not. Back deck repair to ceiling never completed. Many bent screens were not replaced. Bathroom mirror promised replacement was never done. I have called Paul about these problems with no response. We were not asking much to have these problems resolved. Guess I will be repairing myself

The Sales Personnel is Outstanding! However, the Project Management Unfortunately is Inexperienced, Lack of Pride in the Craft of Building a Home, Lack of Professionalism (No Shows at Appointments, No Sense of Urgency to Correct Issues, Etc.) and No Corrective Plan of Action within Supervisors to Apprehend those employees.

The beginning process was great, onece it came to finish work absolute trash, light fixtures secured to sheet rock not the boxes, tile alignment, paint work all trash, the hand rail to the stairs missing hardware if used it falls off the wall.

the salesperson was very nice. But after purchasing the house the customer service is not very responsive to correct issues .

I love the craftsmanship of my home. The 2 x 6 construction and design is great. The issue I have is with the sales rep Steven A. He out right lied to me and my realtor about the options for my house - specifically the windows in the basement. I spent a lot of money for several options that were important to me. I wanted to a full size window in an unfinished bedroom in the basement. I would have paid to have a regular size window put in and he said that I would get a regular sized window as I do stained glass & need the light as well as ventilation. The day they poured the foundation, I came by and found a small window in that room. My realtor was sitting right next to me when we went over the house details so I have her as a witness when I went through the options for my house. I am so disappointed and angry at the sales rep, Steven A, because he knew how important this feature was but totally disregarded my wishes. If he would have told me it’s extra, I would have paid for it, so in the end, he missed out on extra money for his commission. Otherwise a sinkhole has developed above my sewer pipe leading to my house and the backyard is not graded per the plan. Part of the backyard is always wet due to insufficient fall and grading to the backyard. They emailed me back on 7/17 saying due to staffing changes there is a significant backlog. Paid the house in a premium price but they have not let us pick the materials of choice because they said it is already pre selected. We just have no choice because we are buying for the location and schools. Quality is okay, they always rush you to close instead entertain or ask you about concerns or what not. Overall. They are just okay. Typical builder that prioritize business over customer satisfaction

All the items identified in our inspection were not addressed. I don’t believe any of them other than very easy paint blemishes were fixed before closing. None of our appliances were connected except the dishwasher and stove. My backyard washed away on the first rain after we moved in.

Sloppy craftsmanship, construction and slow to respond to request for fixing issues.

The builder did ok. House wasn’t really clean when we took possession. Title was fine. Would never use the builders lender again. The incentive was not worth the pain of working with them or the horrible rate. Highly recommend using another lender.

For the amount of money you spend on a home from Richmond, one would expect better quality workmanship and a completely finished house. Instead you get pushed to buying a home as is , and they want you to make and burn of your personal time in order for them to complete the work they should've had done to begin with. But dont worry you'll still get issues surprising you every mo th so you'll have them using/wasting your time for years to come. So exciting.. Overall I like my new home, but the finishing quality feels incredibly rushed. The trim (baseboards) was only half painted. The trim paint color and the raw baseboard color are not the same white! There is more paint on the door hinges and doorstops (due to ineffective or no taping) than on the baseboards. Drywall tape lines are visible along the steps. There is a huge 4 ft. gouge in the back of the powder room door that was just painted over. (Why was this okay? Because we probably weren't going to go in the powder room and close the door during a walk-through?) The toe kick and quarter round were not attached in an area under the oven because the mitering on the corners was so bad it didn't fit. There are lines of caulk, drips of paint, etc. that were just painted over. There isn't a window sill in the entire house that doesn't have some sort of painted over defect. The list goes on and on. Most issues are cosmetic, and fixable. But who wants to "finish" their brand new house? If you are up for the effort or not too particular, then purchasing one of these homes could be for you. The floor plan and details are well thought out and highly functional. And, so far, all of the people have been easy to work with and responsive. The sales team was absolutely amazing. Issues have taken a long time to be resolved even when reported before closing. Richmond is starting to cut corners yet charges the same high dollar price unfortunately. Things like eliminating the large double slider (which is a feature point of the home) in lieu of saving a buck and installing a single door slider is a value loss. Closets are also very cheaply installed and there is no workaround before closing including not installing the cheap wire shelving. Getting reports of workmanship and quality fixed after closing can take upwards of months for simple issues and most subs do not clean up after themselves. For the price of these homes there should be greater quality response and initial workmanship from Richmond. ... More

The home we bought from Richmond American is lovely; however, the process and journey to get settled in and get all of the details that needed to be fixed as we settled into our new home has taken quite a while. Big company means slow responses and we're still waiting. Glad we have a comfortable place to wait.

new buyer at West Park community in Queen Creek, after hearing Richmond American as good builder. But I am a bit unimpressed. The workmanship could be better, especially on paint. After Cody being the superintendent at the very end of my house closing, things seem to move along better. But after my house is closed, my issues, like the 30day work list, don't get any attention after weeks' communication to my sales rep, superintendent, and Richmond American Home Care.

Be prepared to moved in and have trades in an out of your home for the first few months. Everyone is very nice, but after you move in you will notice blemishes and issues that may have you questioning the workmanship and value of your home. The good news, you have a 1-year warranty to ensure trades come in to fix issues (but read the fine print).

our closing experience is not very good, delivered the home with lot of nails in the backyard. with in a week, many door nob handles came out. lot of cracks in the exterior. while delivering these cracks are covered instead of fixing. I am disappointed

Builder used poor quality of materials and couldn’t get defect kitchen island countertop and flaw garage door panel replaced soon. All wood material is MDF, not solid wood.

Stock homes only with no flexibility to alter the smallest detail. Material used and appliances are mostly dated. Sales team is pretty considerate but have no say with design. Designers likely work with limited SKUs but designs and materials need to be refreshed to current trends

The house is decent, even though there are some finishing touches that need to be resolved. There seems to be no policing of the contractors that are still building homes right across from us. We expected noise, that’s part of building new houses, however the constant music and the trash everywhere is ridiculous. The contractors also park wherever they want, including in front of our driveway. We have to abide by the HOA rules, but the contractors can do whatever they want, and it’s very frustrating to live next to!

The process to complete this purchase was difficult and often left me without a point of contact due to high volume of turnover. No one who started the process of buying the home was working for Richmond once the process concluded. The sales team turned over twice before the home was closed, causing a huge lapse in communication. After move in there are issues to resolve (of course). The issue was more turnover, unfinished work, a lack of follow up. Without having a realtor to assist with the process, I would have had a much more difficult time. Not all the items addressed at the final walkthrough were fixed. Not all the items purchased were delivered at the day of closing. Not feedback from construction regarding roll over items. Customer Service is too busy to prompt respond to requests.

Beautiful homes and neighborhood as the title suggests. We bought our first home in NV and coming from the east coast. Little issues here and there but took the home care team 3-6 weeks to resolve the issues. Shower rod for 1 of our bathrooms was forgotten and didn’t get to use it for almost 1 month until I called Corporate Center. Otherwise we’ve been happy with our purchase.

I wish the builder would pay more attention to the details and quality of work. I had unfinished doors and cabinets. The bathroom countertop was scratched quite badly. The rain gutter was missing, I had to point it out and then and it took 4 weeks to get them to install it. After four weeks, I'm still waiting for repairs to be made, such as replacing a damaged door weather strip.
