Parts are amazing. Responsiveness to get issues resolved is poor.

The sales team was absolutely amazing. Issues have taken a long time to be resolved even when reported before closing. Richmond is starting to cut corners yet charges the same high dollar price unfortunately. Things like eliminating the large double slider (which is a feature point of the home) in lieu of saving a buck and installing a single door slider is a value loss. Closets are also very cheaply installed and there is no workaround before closing including not installing the cheap wire shelving. Getting reports of workmanship and quality fixed after closing can take upwards of months ...

Beautiful home - quite the journey to get here

The home we bought from Richmond American is lovely; however, the process and journey to get settled in and get all of the details that needed to be fixed as we settled into our new home has taken quite a while. Big company means slow responses and we're still waiting. Glad we have a comfortable place to wait.

new buyer at West Park community in Queen Creek, after hearing Richmond American as good builder. But I am a bit unimpressed. The workmanship could be better, especially on paint. After Cody being the superintendent at the very end of my house closing, things seem to move along better. But after my house is closed, my issues, like the 30day work list, don't get any attention after weeks' communication to my sales rep, superintendent, and Richmond American Home Care.

Be prepared to moved in and have trades in an out of your home for the first few months. Everyone is very nice, but after you move in you will notice blemishes and issues that may have you questioning the workmanship and value of your home. The good news, you have a 1-year warranty to ensure trades come in to fix issues (but read the fine print).

our closing experience is not very good, delivered the home with lot of nails in the backyard. with in a week, many door nob handles came out. lot of cracks in the exterior. while delivering these cracks are covered instead of fixing. I am disappointed

Stock homes only with no flexibility to alter the smallest detail. Material used and appliances are mostly dated. Sales team is pretty considerate but have no say with design. Designers likely work with limited SKUs but designs and materials need to be refreshed to current trends

House is okay, contractors are rude.

The house is decent, even though there are some finishing touches that need to be resolved. There seems to be no policing of the contractors that are still building homes right across from us. We expected noise, that’s part of building new houses, however the constant music and the trash everywhere is ridiculous. The contractors also park wherever they want, including in front of our driveway. We have to abide by the HOA rules, but the contractors can do whatever they want, and it’s very frustrating to live next to!

Massive Amount of Turnover - Unresolved Issues

  • Anonymous

The process to complete this purchase was difficult and often left me without a point of contact due to high volume of turnover. No one who started the process of buying the home was working for Richmond once the process concluded. The sales team turned over twice before the home was closed, causing a huge lapse in communication. After move in there are issues to resolve (of course). The issue was more turnover, unfinished work, a lack of follow up. Without having a realtor to assist with the process, I would have had a much more difficult time. Now I am going through the warranty ...

Beautiful Homes and Neighborhood

Beautiful homes and neighborhood as the title suggests. We bought our first home in NV and coming from the east coast. Little issues here and there but took the home care team 3-6 weeks to resolve the issues. Shower rod for 1 of our bathrooms was forgotten and didn’t get to use it for almost 1 month until I called Corporate Center. Otherwise we’ve been happy with our purchase.

Four weeks after closing, still waiting for repairs to be made

I wish the builder would pay more attention to the details and quality of work. I had unfinished doors and cabinets. The bathroom countertop was scratched quite badly. The rain gutter was missing, I had to point it out and then and it took 4 weeks to get them to install it. After four weeks, I'm still waiting for repairs to be made, such as replacing a damaged door weather strip.

They only care about you buying the house. On our pre close walk we found out the microwave had been used but they didn't care to change it or do anything to fix the problem since they already had the earnest money. They said they would only clean it and that microwave was very stinky. Seller Moises never had a solution, only kept saying that was not part of the deal, Horrible seller that only cares about making money and not the customer.

Window is cracked already and I have to wait a month for a replacement. Paint is poorly done with drip marks all over. All the screws in the house are lose. The stucco is coming off already. The floor makes noise and it’s not even level. This house was built too quickly and with poor attention to detail.

My third Richmond home

My first Richmond home was pure owned and by far the best customer service of all. The second was purchased in 2007 and aside from the economy tanking was still a good purchase, had a couple issues that were attempted to half repair and one that was never fixed, the way it goes I guess. This last home, 17 years later I figured they would have there act together, I was unpleasantly surprised with a no. Immediately after signing the contract, sales lady became rude. The house was pushed into a rapid completion and it shows. Plumber messed up in the underground and now a toilet touches the ...

The Forman/supervisor was great during our final walkthrough. Now for the package I was told when I signed the paperwork in Oct that I would get the vanity/cabinet in the master bathroom. Towards the end of the build, I noticed they put up some ugly shelving across from the toilet and not the vanity/ counter. The sales person said that the packages were changed and instead of picking out the items we want it was one Package with color flooring and no upgrades. Which really sucked because I loved that vanity in the Larmar in the bathroom. And Richmond American would not work with me. I ...

We moved into a corner lot with a water tank behind us, the entire water tank is surrounded by a rock wall and in several other residents backyards but ours. When trying to get answers as to why we did not get a rock wall fence as well no had any answers. The city decided to put up an ugly barb wire prison fence directly in our backyard. When trying to get answers on who the developers were to discuss other options NO ONE KNEW. No one seemed to know anything! There’s no reason we would have thought anything but that rock wall would have just continued over for us like it did for EVERYONE ...

We have been absolutely disappointed with this company. We have never had a construction company have not care or their product or it’s finished homes. The outside of the house has so many touch ups that needed to be done. There are so many nail holes that were not covered properly, ,as the inside do too! The cabinets were not finished at the corners, the fans are constantly on and off at all times of the day and night. The furnace makes a loud noise when it comes on and off. The ac unit does the same noise. We have beer asked to check the filters we did that doesn’t have anything to do with ...

I really like my new home. The only problem I had is the two other bedrooms are super small. I have a three piece bedroom suites and they are all crunched together. So the bedrooms could be a little bigger. My pantry is to die for and so is my laundry room. We love our RV garage. (Our diesel pusher barely fits) but it does. On my walk through we had several things that needed fixed. Especially a hole in the master bath ceiling where the light is on the ceiling. Not fixed. Then ….
