THis was our first home purchase and it went by so easily and quickly! Love our home

They will over promise and under deliver. Everything was a quick fix during the walk around but they waited a month after closing and my consistent follow up to start making repairs that were supposed to be done prior to closing and then postponed by the builder to the week after closing. To name a few: -water hoses in the washer are cross connected -unable to use a broken tub for a month now and builder is MIA. -they show you better quality appliances and then go with the cheapest. -a door doesn't latch - ceiling was not properly painted -floor has stains -house wasn't cleaned. AC filter was not replaced as promised. -Appliances has dents, and scratches, same with sliding doors. Windows stained with glue or paint. The lack of care is obvious. For a better experience have them get any work done PRIOR to closing. I'm disappointed with the experience don't recommend this builder. ... More

The people I worked with, sales and construction, are outstanding and continue to be so. They are just being asked to do too much, too fast and the results show it. Lots of little/moderate problems that were indicative of this. Not real pleased with that, not much else to say. I chose to buy, so it is my fault. I like the house ( once the issues are straightened out)and the neighborhood. Why you cannot select any options is stupid and why you get this review. No pull out drawers in the bathrooms…really? Just cheap. Of course, I signed a contract and they (corporate) dropped the asking prices 15k+. Yeah, not pleased, then all the crappy and, I mean crappy, issues with the house. Workers/builders rushing/don't care. Hard sell to recommend RA. The saving grace is they are responding to my complaints. However, so many of the problems are just not really excusable. If you want a home with an RV garage, Richmond American is the only builder that has a garage large enough to accommodate a 30+ foot rig. Love it!

Very informative and whenever I ask or message him, he always replies as soon ans possible and he answers all our concern and questions. Great experience toward him.

Window is cracked already and I have to wait a month for a replacement. Paint is poorly done with drip marks all over. All the screws in the house are lose. The stucco is coming off already. The floor makes noise and it’s not even level. This house was built too quickly and with poor attention to detail.

Overall a good experience, however I believe that due to Richmond trying to build too many homes as the same time that the attention to detail has been left behind. There where major issues on the day of closing that had to be corrected after moving in. All of the items have been completed but they should have been done on the day of close. If we had not needed a home to move into, it is possible that we would not have accepted the home the way that is was.

During our final walk through we identified many things that needed to be addressed or fixed. We have been in our new home for well over a month and several of those issues have yet to be resolved. I have heard many times, from multiple people that "we will take care of it", yet we continue to wait. They did take care of certain issues, but others are still incomplete.

From day one when our Agent suggested this builder, we fell in love. The Darius met all our home needs. Working with Brian made new home purchase simple. Brian, Angel & Raul is an awesome team. Made us feel right at home each time.

There's is nothing to highlight! From start to finish, I hard a terrible experience. From sales person, gallery appointment and superintendent. I've been in my home now 6 weeks and still waiting for things to be completed from my initial walk through. I was pressured the entire process bullied, treated unfair and not at all with any type of compassion or even a customer. I was nothing but another house to close before the end of the quarter. You people run other stock market, so close on as many houses as possible. You need to start working on QUALITY over quantity!!! I paid over $350 000 for a house, I shouldn't have any holes in my walls, walls missing paint, cracks in my foundation, tile grout missing and the list continues. Terrible craftsmanship. ... More

My move in date was changed first "by mistake". Then a second time was changed 10 minutes before end of day, the day before with no notice provided to me. When I finally did move in there was no walk through and several items were not finished, to include; issues with both showers no range installed, and several leaks. Since then superintendents have been rude, cussed at me, and been generally non responsive.

All the staff we interacted with were very nice and courteous throughout the house buying process.

The house is very nice, beautiful design, interior, and exterior. However, I wish they clean inside more throughly. There are area were not throughly clean, scratches, stains from working on the house, and scratch on the appliances. When the buyer wants to buy, we expect the brand new place spotless.

We had a fantastic experience working with Richmond to purchase our home. Our sales representative Kaitlin and our building superintendents Dan and Eric all did a tremendous job answering questions and guiding us along the way. Richmond has been very responsive as we have found the odds and ends that need a touch up, just as any new home requires. The craftmanship is what we expected and the finishes have been outstanding with perhaps the exception of the carpet which could use a thicker pad. Greg, my sales person was always available and willing to help with all my questions/concerns from start to finish. Superintendent was always communicating with me on a weekly basis and willing to help me understand the construction process. Overall we have had a great first home buying experience. The quality of work generally is great, we have noticed a few points where it seems like people may have cut corners or simply didn't have a care in the unfinished spaces. (Protruding nail heads) being 1 example. Maybe a few poor cuts in corner spaces etc. Everything is functional though and for that we are delighted. To match the title of my review, Communication has been amazing and we are still reaching out as we get settled within the home. I do trust the builders, I trust the organization, and I think they can take care of any concerns to come through our first year. Warranties have worked wonderfully (not that many were needed at the moment, just small things between appliances.) Everyone is quick to respond and address our needs. I think the home is great, and while we accept the price, it could also have been much less a few years ago so I don't put that on the builders. The markets are inflated and we feel we got fair value for the times. As rates rise we feel like we really lucked out to buy when we did. Similar to previously written material, the team is overall very responsive to what we need. I think the quarterly check ins are in part why, but sometimes it can feel like a lot of time passed to get a response. In terms of general delivery time though I'm sure its because we are swayed by the world of amazon and online deliveries being so competitive. There were punchlist items that were never completed prior to closing and no effort has been made to get them completed. Very unhappy with the service.

Everyone was helpful from the first day. The sales person, superintendent, home care team, title company, and all others were always responsive to our questions. We’re very happy with our new home.

We have owned the house five weeks and only one thing has been completed from the final walk thru list. It is hard to find a wall in the house that is straight. The framing crew did a poor job or the framing material was of poor quality. The dishwasher is poor quality.

Terin has been super helpful with the home buying process with Richmond! We came from the other side of the US and she was able to keep in contact with us to give us updates and would even go above and beyond to FaceTime and send pictures of videos to do the tours for us. And continues to check in even after we move to see how we are enjoying everything and if anything needs attention. Luke has been really helpful addressing any concerns we have and I feel like he truly cares for the people and making sure they are happy with their home. He has been prompt about giving updates on when repairs and other things needed to be done. Everyone I’ve came in contact with has been super friendly and helpful! The home is over priced for the cheap materials used in building the structure. The workmanship is dismal. Multiple feature in the house need to be fixed from replacing windows, sliding glass door, driveway pavers, cabinet drawers and doors and quart’s shower wall. All of these items need to be fixed and have yet to be fixed. The Richmond American home specialist was notified of the issues and still has not reached out to set a time for repairs. We have been living in our home for three months now with no word. I would not buy a home from Richmond American again. I will never recommend them to anyone I care about. ... More
