I think quality on products in house could be better than what you represent in retail numbers you have a huge buying power for your products. Also your 24 hour policy is terrible with closing escrow arranging move un your expected to get problems reported and then you say it takes 10 days to schedule for problem to get resolve. Jennifer is great at getting problems done. Except you only had 24 hours to report. If you asked would I buy this home again I would honestly say NO. That came with finishes picked and no offer to change anything cost me a lot to make my home . Please better quality quartz that’s the biggest thing for me the quality of the workmanship mainly rough edges can’t be address because I noticed past the 24 hours. Plus had crushed ducting if it weren’t for hiring electrician to wire my spa would have never known it has been resolved took 3 weeks since filing an issue. ... More

Last week was a push and we ended up with a mess!! Very disappointed.

I’d like to let Richmond know this will be my last time buying a Richmond home. Although Sonja was an excellent representative for the company as her character always shined when we were around and continues to shine now if we need anything. She is really top notch!! Tim our superintendent was awesome and took care of us and still handles anything we need. My complaint or concerns are with the Richmond finance team. When I first walked through the doors, Richmond extended some offers if my family and I were to use Richmond finance and purchase before a certain month. Well my wife and I fell in love with the sapphire home. We had private financing already but we chose to use Richmond financing due to the incentives. I was pre approved and we were in our way. Then I get a call from the finance team saying Richmond can no longer move forward with my loan. This was unfortunate because Richmond also pulled all the incentives and 17k in closing costs that they were offering. What a swing of emotions, financials and trust Richmond displayed. My wife and I still decided to move forward with the home. My family and I lost out on heat incentives and 17k of closing all because Richmond put their needs above the customers needs. Never again!!! If it wasn’t for the amazing customer service Sonja and Tim had displayed throughout the build, my family and I would’ve taken our business elsewhere!!! I’m sorry Richmond you missed the opportunity to get all five stars due to your finance team and your company’s unwillingness to meet a customer’s expectations of everything I had heard about Richmond American Homes! If you don’t do any upgrades the quality of material used is very cheap. A lot of simple mistakes are made. Seems like they rush through the process of building these houses. In our experience we had a leak, excess foundation, solar panel box put on wrong, flooring was scratched, carpet was lumpy and you could see the seems, breakers tripping and paint that needed to be redone. They give you a matte finish which scratches and stains very easily. Overall I am happy with my home, just wish everything was done right from the start. We love our new home, it was a great experience working with the sales team. They ensured we were updated along the way and we were able to watch our new home being built from the ground up. The quality of the home is excellent I would certainly recommend Richmond American to anyone looking for a new build.

My experience wasn't a good one.

My house looks like a show place.

We were told to sign and close escrow, even though the house was not finished. We were promised items on our walk through list would be repaired and finished before closing. Nothing was fixed, we’re three month in. Made two mortgage payments and the repairs are still not done. All our bathroom light fixtures were broken or damaged. Our dryer was damaged, we were told that it was all set up for us to call GE Cares. Called GE Cares. They had no record of our house even having GE appliances. I understand there are many other houses that also need attention. The construction of the house really isn’t that high quality. Its craftsmanship was very poor and rushed. We had a bow in our family room wall. A dry wall specialist said it wasn’t his fault. It was plumbing and left. I would not recommend buying a Richmond Home. ... More

we love the city, the community, and the housing styles and brevarde. love our location but the home, the finishing, was rushed too much.. so many things are defective or not done correctly. a few major items also. some are very very negligent that should never have occured unless the team wasn't caring or paying attention. very unprofessional in the finishing items both inside and out. very difficult process to get corrected

Took 8 months from contract to move-in due to multiple delays. Simple punch list items and warranty items still outstanding 3 months after move-in. Unable to commit to when included landscaping will be done. Superintendent is overwhelmed. In-house financing was executed poorly and closing was unprofessional.

GET EVERYTHING DONE BEFORE CLOSING, even punch list items that they promise will get done asap because even these have been an absolute pain in the rear to get taken care of. And you think that's hard, warranty is absolute garbage, you have to get the top manager involved or you won't be getting a response. I wish we had not rushed final closing, and delayed closing like some of our neighbors did, because we are over a month from when we closed and are still waiting for punch list items to be finished. The experience was the worst

Poor responsiveness to issues. Disorganization and lack of commitment to provide good service. Outstanding service items from initial walk through left with no follow through, and I’ve been in the home for 3 months. I have reached out to corporate, left messages and sent emails to sales, with no response. This is my second Richmond American home and the worst follow through in service I have ever experiences. I still have tape throughout the house’s interior and exterior from the first walk through, squeaky floors on the second level, items have gone ignored in my warranty requests. Grant was great. Mike was horrible.

My initial closing and delivery of our new home was disappointing however Dawn B. in the warranty department has turned things around and resolved many of the problems with professionalism, promptness and knowledge of new build issues.

Staff was very friendly. They're all responded to questions and concerns in a timely manner.

Finish painting not complete. Areas where a second cot of paint were needed didn't get taken care of after the walk through. other items such as doors not latching closed and sliding door adjustments ere needed and not taken care of after the initial walkthrough where they were identified. Now I have to file a warranty claim and that is inconvenient and time consuming. The office staff were great and tried to be helpful.

Michelle was Richmond Americans sales rep and I was her first sell and you could tell. Anytime we asked to see the house she would schedule an appointment get to the house and give us a 5 minute time limit say she needs to get on to her next appointment and did the exact same thing day of closing. Day of tape walk through it went good lots of paint and drywall errors Mike was great, the final walk through a week later come back and the paint is done but with different paint ex. the walls that are flat paint were touched up with satin, they painters got paint all along the carpet and were supposed to return and a month later still haven’t. Mike had said he was going to finish working on unfinished items and then never got around to it. Electricity is messed up that when fans where installed in front bedroom and bedrooms up stairs it will turn 1 on up stairs and 1 downstairs the either both work or both don’t. Outlets are crap the majority your unable to plug anything into them. In one of the rooms up stairs if you plug anything in the outlet all the electricity goes out up stairs. ... More

We loved our home building experience. Everyone was super helpful and was always willing to help when we have questions! We love our home!

First time buying a house and it's been quite the experience. Not all the things were done that were supposed to be prior to settlement. Never got everything I was promised in the deal. I feel like after everything was signed I became chop liver. I regret buying this house.

Great financing and shopping experience. Warranty is slacking on coming out and getting in contact with me. Submitted a water damage request over two weeks ago and have yet to hear back.

I had a wonderful experience and thoroughly recommend this company. The lady that showed us round, Denise, was amazing and really cared about our experience. Saul also had been an amazing help. Overall, it was a great experience.

I have been trying to get items from my original punch list repaired with very little luck, on top of that I have several other items that I found (like breakers tripping for no reason, lots of drywall issues, flooring issues, broken tile, doors squeaking and hinge pins coming out etc.) that are also needing repaired. The major issue I have is repairs are scheduled but non of the contractors show or show up on a different day not scheduled, I'm beyond frustrated with it all. Most of the employees are great and really good to work with, Overall quality doesn't meet my expectations, one of my baggiest complaints is the stone around my house, they made several attempts to fix it before closing but it still looks horrible. Our experience with Richmond American Homes has been a mixed bag. The response time for repairs is generally prompt, with issues being addressed within a week, which is commendable. However, our buying experience was marred by the incompetence and unhelpfulness of our sales representative. There were instances where my family felt discriminated against, which left a sour taste in our mouths. On the positive side, the home itself is indeed beautiful, located in a gated community comprised of around 31 homes. This sense of exclusivity fosters a community spirit among homeowners, encouraging pride in our properties and a neighborly watchfulness. The construction materials used vary from high-grade to moderate-grade, offering a mix of quality in the build. One notable downside is the disparity between the model home and the actual purchased property. While the model home's backyard is fully developed, many homeowners find themselves with bare dirt outside. Additionally, a major issue we encountered was with the screen/sliding door, which was difficult to open and close due to poor tracks, dirt buildup, and malfunctioning parts. Overall, we would rate my Richmond American home a 3 out of 5. There are definite positives to living in this community, but improvements are needed in terms of customer service, build quality consistency, and attention to detail in the finishing touches. ...
