Salesperson and Superintendent are great. Their process was not enjoyable whatsoever. I almost pulled out of the deal due to their financial/underwriting department. Really check your home on the walkthrough. Walls are paper thin. You can hear the other people in the next room and the washer/dryer are EXTREMELY loud. You can not wash without it sounding like one’s in the room with you even when door is closed.

Sales staff were easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. Post close, warranty department have been good to work with, however issues identified slow to get responded to.

Pointed out several issues within a week of being in the home. Many they didn’t want to do as we already closed on it and should have pointed out before closing. We had a two week rushed cloth close before new year. The damaged glass panels weren’t noticeable till it was dark out and someone is supposed to “look at” as a courtesy. The cracked tub did get fixed with some push back and the doorbell did get fixed. There is many issues with the slabs and dirt compaction which we were told was normal, I have had new builds before without this. No pride in the quality of finish work for the home and promises that things would be fixed but were made worse or didn’t fix at all. Currently have my entire kitchen in my new home torn apart by a disaster relief company due to screws in a water line when the siding was put on the home. It’s been leaking for months prior to me owning the home and now I also have mold. Poor communication for the repairs of the kitchen and unwillingness to fix their poor finish work in the house because it fits their tolerance for new construction. During the tear out of the damaged cabinets due to the water line we have found food garbage and tons of construction material like cut up boards, wads of tape, old caulk tubes, busted up sheet rock. All of this was left behind and then the counter top was put on so it would never be seen. Chris was our realtor and Geo was the construction manager. I had an excellent experience with both of these gentleman.

First time home owner. I have heard good things about Richmond home from my family members that owned home that was build from Richmond for 20 years so I decided to give Richmond a try by start looking at their build which I finally found one and fall in love with the home and love the floor plan. We decided to go ahead with the deal and got the good APR from Richmond. The constructors help up with the walk through process and make it easy on repair minor issue.

Rosemary was amazing and helpful throughout the entire home buying experience. Rosemary kept me in the loop at all times and met all issues that arose head on.

So this is not a custom home. I bought one already built so didn't even get to pick finishes. I think its a nice 'hood so far and this house is a great value in this market. Was very easy working with Theresa in sales, very knowledgeable and nice to deal with. Seems to be decently built. As with any spec home, attention to minor details could be better but overall there were no big issues to fix before closing, mostly just drywall and paint touch-ups. Since moving in I've had a couple mechanical issues (manufacturer issues mostly) and Krystal has been quick to get the repairs scheduled and done. Average to low workmanship and quality home. Warranty response is substandard

I buy a new home and all doors have some damage the tub for one of the bedrooms is cracked and they wanted to repair it instead of replace it even if I never had use that tub because is a "new hause" they onli give a window of 6 hours to arrived at my place DURIN THE MORNING while I work and CANT asked at my job for the whole day to wait for them, instead of give a window after 2pm to arrived. I just regret, I buy a new home for that reason (not to deal with this things) and it's just the same. This is so annoying.

We originally contracted for a home that didn't fit on the lot. After this fiasco, they increased the lot premium trying not to honor the lot premium under the original agreement. They call it a custom build to order home. But the reality is they restricted our choices in materials. They mandated a set of rules that essentially yielded a standard spec home at a custom price. Nothing was custom. We couldn't even pick a location for a TV outlet. Thank goodness we had a realtor that helped us when the builder wanted to break promises. The builder altered the plan decreasing our window sizes to suit their bottom line. I would never buy from Richmond again. ... More

I had an amazing experience and they where so helpful.

We had a wonderful sales rep who went above and beyond in helping us through the entire purchasing process . The walkthrough was thorough. The home is beautiful. Most miraculously—both my husband and I love everything about the home including the affordable price. We love our new home.

My sale guy was great love his attention to detail and willingness to help out they have great homes nice area minutes from local restaurants grocery store in hose school plus nice and peaceful parks the hose like every other house you will find imperfections but all minors one all in great home

The home is nice and for the most part well made. Warrenty gal Gale for inside the house is amazing. We have a drainage issue so our front and back are flooded and killing the grass. There’s also a drainage cap missing. I brought this up as soon as we moved it. I messaged our sales rep Chris D. and he pretty much blew off the issue and said there’s nothing he can do to help us. He became rude about helping us after we bought the house.

The home buying process went well for us. We did our walk through and highlighted things that needed to be fixed. They could not fix them all prior to closing so we had roll over items. It is now 3 months later and said roll over items are still not fixed even with our efforts to reach out on multiple occasions. No response ever regarding these issues.

With this gorgeous home its fit for a family raising kids. It is my first time and I didn't feel uncomfortable because everything was explained. So, I appreciate all that was involved.

Orlando was very helpful when I was looking to purchase a home. He answered all of my questions and always got answers as soon as possible. Whitney always works with Orlando and she was so kind to deal with also. I cannot say enough about both of them and the professionalism they bring to the office each day.

I have only ever lived in new build homes. The last one I was able to plan from the ground up and never had one issue with anything about that home (Atherton Homes) I moved into this new build after it had been sitting vacant for several months. I was out of state during the closing so my son-in-law did the final walk-thru. When I arrived to move in there was a laundry list of things that were not done correctly. Too many to list here but here are a couple: cabinet door not glued together so it fell apart when you went to open the cabinet. Heating vent in primary bath had been drywalled over. Paint all over the floors where they were doing touch ups. Sloppy work. Cracked door trim. Chunk out of door trim just painted over. Running paint on front door. Misaligned slider and unable to be fixed unless it was completely removed. Left us spare flooring but box had been dropped so only one piece was available for use to repair a chunk missing out of the floor in great room. We are extremely frustrated with the quality of the preparation of the home for occupancy. It has resulted with a total of 7 to 8 vendors having to come in to make repairs while we were living in the home. Things that should’ve been taken care of by whoever was overseeing the building of this home. And then corrected prior to us moving in if they weren’t caught during the build process. Vendors who came to make repairs commented on the less than quality products used in these homes. Maybe you’re trying to cut costs or just don’t care about the quality of your homes. But your reputation with the people you have now coming in to make the repairs is less than stellar. One vendor told me he had just worked on a house down the street that had three different brands of windows in the home like it has just been pieced together with whatever was available. When we moved in, we felt like we had gotten a lemon. And when I asked for paint touchup and repairs to be made, I was told that the builder had generously offered to allow someone to come in for two hours to make all the repairs, but then I would be waving my rights to be able to make any claims within my first year living here if there were nail pops, or other things that occurred. I was not willing to waive that due to all the things we had already found. So I asked for some touchup paint so I could fix things until I was able to make claims to have repairs done. And then the person you have overseeing the houses now was afraid to even ring our doorbell and hand that paint to us. He just set it out in front of the house and didn’t even let us know. It was just sitting out there. I don’t think I would be able to recommend Richmond American homes to anyone that I know. I complained to the girls in the sales office about our experience. I complained to my realtor who sold me the house. But I am making it my own now. We are fixing it up making the repairs we need to make and due to my age I’m not sure that I want to move again, but it is a possibility. Signed very disappointed homeowner ... More

We had a fantastic experience with Richmond American Homes at TrailMark! From start to finish, the entire process exceeded our expectations. PJ, our sales consultant, was genuine, pleasant, and truly eager to help. He was never pushy or high-pressure—just the opposite of the stereotypical salesperson. He really listened to us and worked closely with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. It made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. Josh was quick-witted, responsive, and completely on top of everything. With only a week until closing, I honestly doubted the entire punch list would be completed—but he promised it would be handled, and he delivered. Everything was done, just as he said. Both Josh and PJ were wonderful about responding to my texts quickly, always with kindness, humor, and clear answers or solutions. Their communication and follow-through were outstanding. During our first visit to the sales office, we were greeted by Brooks and Michelle. Both were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and available during AND after the sale. We really appreciated all of the communication and follow-ups. They really made our home purchasing experience a breeze! Then, a week before closing, we had our walkthrough with superintendent Jesse. It was a very detailed walkthrough, a lot more than I had expected. He pointed out things that I never would've thought of. That was very much appreciated! During the next few days, he had all those little things squared away. At our 30 day walkthrough, Jesse was extremely quick and helpful at reaching out to the various contractors to address the items needing attention. The whole team was phenomenal from start to finish, and beyond! Communication and follow through during the whole process was/is so helpful and appreciated.
