Warranty after sales is complete is nonexistent . Closed on November 11 and still can not use the hot water in my bathroom or shave in my private space I am paying so much for. My worst house buying experience ever. !

Georgine was great. Customer service was top notch. Kept me in the loop throughout the process. There was one issue but Luke and Georgine handled it. Richmond American Homes cares about their buyers and made sure I was happy.

The house over priced. The house have so many problem to fix. Request some one out to fix. It take week before thing could be done.

Sale consultant and home gallery rep were amazing we loved working with them. Workmanship and quality ifbthe home are sub par we have been at our home for a month we don't expect perfection but there were many issues that were rushed and overloked like dishwasher water was not plugged in. Also we have a leaky shower faucet we hope that issue is resolved we believe are doors were not painted just primed they are very rough. Drywall has many small dents that we did not notice while doing the walk through dimmer lights flicker even in bathroom. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

Love the house sell person wasn’t honest

Just an overall excellent experience, beautiful home, from Sales to Construction to Home Care to Mortgage, all handled seamlessly.

The sales lady did fine and would always be helpful and made things easier. The first superintendent was terrible. Then you guys moved him to a different track which was a great idea. The guy who replaced him was much, much, much better (Mike). The tail end superintendent (Chris) was an absolute disaster. Everything was a hassle and all he would do would say he would get it done… but yet nothing would get done. The house starting out from concrete was already messed up. The framing was very shotty and showed poor skills to say the least. The finished concrete is awful. The trim is terrible. Extremely wavy and unskilled finish. Actually still missing pieces of trim in my house I’ve been living in for about a month now… which was supposed to be taken care of by Chris when we did a walk through. Speaking of the walk through I marked everything I wanted fixed with blue tape with Chris. Guess what happened. The blue tape got pulled off the wall with nothing fixed and even took some of the paint off the wall with the tape and still didn’t get fixed LOL… I still have textured wall patches that haven’t been painted. There is literally paint drips on EVERY SINGLE piece of tile in my master bathroom. (Black tile) so yes you can see it clear as day. The exterior paint had a lot of spots missed that Chris didn’t take care of. Some of my faucets aren’t installed correctly. A month in and I’m still missing a lightbulb for my secondary shower. The house was dirty when I moved in. My door bucks are getting pulled off the wall from the RV garage doors assuming the framers didn’t nail/ secure the door buck. It’s been almost nearly impossible to schedule things to get fixed with Chris which means I have to taken time off of work for things that should have been fixed before I moved in. Of course after I closed on the house nobody cares about the homeowner and are on to sell the next crappy built house. I am extremely disappointed with this experience with Richmond American homes. In a humble way of putting this. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER Richmond home. And have been socially explaining to others about this experience. Now I have been working in the construction trade since i turned 18. I know everything isn’t gonna be perfect but this has been a complete nightmare. I hope someone reads this and personally try’s to make this fair. I will be reaching out to an inspector shortly to go over this house further and what he does with that information is up to him. Also just to add in, I was supposed to close on my house sooner then I did and I saw so many things wrong with the house I told them to push back the close date to help them out and apparently I got screwed either way even waiting longer to move in. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I am sorry this message is so bad but it’s been extremely frustrating and stressful. Also would like to add in when discussing issues to Chris and the concrete super independent, i was told this is not a custom home so it won’t have the finish and quality of a custom home. Way to make a customer feel appreciated!! If i spend over half a million dollars on a house i would like to be treated with some dignity and respect. Good attention and service from sales staff. Responses on time but not always with solutions. Average quality homes in general. Lack of clarify on timeline, like closing date. Lack of communication in some aspects.

We had a great experience with Oliver and him helping us through the whole process. He answered all our questions and was very patient with us and us taking our time wanting to see all our options. We had a few warranty items that I wish were taken care of right away but we also bought near the holidays and people might be delayed. Overall I feel it was a positive experience even with us running into our own personal loan issues.

Char is very knowledgeable about the process and all my questions and concerns were addressed promptly. I have never felt this happy and comfortable in a home. I love my new home.

Probably the easiest home buying experience I have ever had. Moved very fast and very professional. Love my new home.

Quick and easy experience for home purchase

Great experience from start to finish!

The best part of my buying experience was getting a quality house and dealing with a very helpful sales agent. Worse part the incompetent loan company I had to send the same documents multiple times. I have excellent credit it took them forever to approve me. We got close to losing the lock on the interest rate. The construction team were not responsive to close the punch list before the closing date and we moved to a dirty house.

From beginning to end, the Richmond American team have been attentive to detail and had the best communication with my husband and I during the home buying process. The sales agent, super intendant and home care specialist were always professional, personable and was always available to answer my questions.

The experience was quick and easy and we would recommend to our friends and family.

We are happy in our home now but the buying experience felt unhonest, we requested a home and radon inspection before closing and felt as we got excuses to avoid getting the inspection done that if any issues arises they would be covered after closing was completed, it’s been over a month and we haven’t received a call or text or any type of follow up for things that need to get fixed in the home after closing. Inspections was completed after closing and it felt as after. Losing all communication stopped in regards to getting our issues fixed we got the run around that we have to go through the warranty link and not them directly as well as radon levels were 38 in this home. ... I would like to share my overall experience with the sales and construction teams, highlighting both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Sales Team: My interaction with the sales team was generally positive. The representatives were attentive and helpful, addressing most of my queries adequately. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of providing more frequent updates and detailed answers to specific questions I had. A more comprehensive approach from the sales department would have enhanced my overall experience. Construction Team: Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team was not great. There were consistent delays, and numerous mistakes were made throughout the building process. I had to bring these mistakes to their attention during my periodic walks of the property under construction. All the mistakes were handled as I brought them to their attention, but still shouldn't have to catch these as a buyer. In addition, the construction team was addressing outstanding issues during the final walk, creating challenges for me to thoroughly assess and sign off on the completed work. I believe there is a need for better coordination and communication within the construction team to avoid such issues. Timely completion of tasks outlined during walk-throughs is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback proves constructive in enhancing future customer experiences. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of my home, although I had to closely oversee the process and the work's quality. Our Richmond Home experience was not good. We will not build with Richmond homes again, and would not recommend it to family and friends. If fact we would ask them to steer clear! We felt significant pressure to close the house at the end of the month, only to find out the following month had better incentives & that others got $20-30K more in incentives. We paid a lot premium $20K to have a mountain view. Was told there were tennis courts going in behind us. When we moved in the houses they started building houses behind us and our view is almost all lost. This was one of the main reasons we choose this community. The closing was an absolute disaster. Richmond provided us a date for closing. We flew down to close the house only to find out it was not ready. There was no communicate on this. Also our sales agent was gone at this time, we were passed along to three different people. Eventually we started working directly working with the project manager directly (not sure why this was our responsibility) and it kept getting pushed out with lack of communication. This resulted in complications with the title company and we ended up incurring over $3k in cost as a result. When the sales associate got back we asked to speak to manager multiple times. We've never heard back from anyone and was told the cases was closed. We've been in the house for 2 months and still have not had our 30 day inspection. ... More

Home is fine but since I’ve moved in I feel my warranty service request has been totally ignored. Dishwasher did not work at time of walkthrough and it was noted; but has not been repaired

This was perhaps the worst home buying experience I’ve ever had, and now that I’m in the home getting warranty/crafting items taken care of has been a nightmare. There simply is no communication with Richmond American Homes.

We’re having a few cosmetic issues on our new home as expected and Chris is very responsive and has worked around my family’s busy schedule to complete most of the repairs. If it wasn’t for Chris the score would be very different. Chris is the super glue keeping it together for Richmond.
