I love my Richmond American home! Richmond's representatives, Jazmin and Linoel were so nice and welcoming, and very attentive to all my questions before, during and after the purchase of my home! It was a great experience!

We bought a move in ready home and our experience was great. They fixed all the minor touch ups we asked for before closing and we had two walk throughs before we moved in. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and still continue to support us with any questions we have after we have moved in. Overall we had a great experience with our new home.

I wished the Richmond American homes builders would put quality materials and closets in these new build homes. The builders put wire shelves in the closets and pantry, which is the cheapest way to go. Just build it quality and put it back in the price if you have to. Now, the new home owners are forced to hire a contractor to add hanging poles and shelves in all closets and pantry. Plus, Richmond American homes builders should have added a coat closet in the front living room. Lastly, Richmond American homes builders should have made a small basement. These model home crawl spaces are huge and should have added stairs and made it a small basement for storage and for the furnace and hot water heater. ... More

Buying an expensive home you expect it to be well put together and good quality. However, since moving in we have found so many problems and some that can not be fixed. We are hoping they will be fixed in the upcoming weeks, however, when buying a new home (especially one that’s priced so high) you shouldn’t need to have a lot of things replaced/fixed.

Overall we had a pretty good experience with you guys. The thing that torched our perspective was the absolute hassle we had to go through to get approved by your loan company. The house is wonderful, neighborhood is nice. Sales rep was great.

Staff was very friendly. They're all responded to questions and concerns in a timely manner.

I had a wonderful experience and thoroughly recommend this company. The lady that showed us round, Denise, was amazing and really cared about our experience. Saul also had been an amazing help. Overall, it was a great experience.

I have been trying to get items from my original punch list repaired with very little luck, on top of that I have several other items that I found (like breakers tripping for no reason, lots of drywall issues, flooring issues, broken tile, doors squeaking and hinge pins coming out etc.) that are also needing repaired. The major issue I have is repairs are scheduled but non of the contractors show or show up on a different day not scheduled, I'm beyond frustrated with it all. Most of the employees are great and really good to work with, Overall quality doesn't meet my expectations, one of my baggiest complaints is the stone around my house, they made several attempts to fix it before closing but it still looks horrible. We have had good interactions with all staff. We are not complete with our punchlist items, yet, but feel very certain that all will be remedied. We have struggled in our move and in our health, so we have not been as available as we would’ve liked. But we are moved in totally now, and looking forward to getting everything resolved in due time. Thank you for all your help.

If you are a person of color be ready to be discriminated and treated unfairly. My sales person lied alot after i put Earnest money down and drama started from then.I had nasty experience, where I had to seek legal

The carpet is so thin and bare the carpet tack made my feet bleed. NONE of the shelving was installed into studs, I had to fix it all myself. The pantry shelves were cut too short, and I am still waiting for that to be fixed. The roof pools water on it during storms instead of having the grading set correctly. The garage door strip was cut short so I have mice in the garage. They pressure you to give them all Five Star reviews, they don't deserve them. The sales staff doesn't explain that the bathroom tile you get is just builder grade white blah, unlike the model home. The appliances on the brochure and in the model home are far superior to the low grade stuff they installed i.e. the GE refrigerator they installed is for sale at Home depot for $900, meanwhile you pay $1,800 for it. The dishwasher is sooo loud you can only run it at night. The brochure also shows that you get a tiled backsplash in the kitchen, not true in what they deliver. So if you want to buy a brand new "fixer-upper" home, come on down. ... More

We had many issues with our new home. The quality of workmanship was substandard and Richmond should better monitor their contractors/emplyees building homes. Major issues like sewer belly, frozen pipes due to poor insulation, failure to exit the dryer venting on roof, poor installation of front door, gas range pipe leak, and other etc were all move in frustrations that were quickly fixed.

The build is so poor no attention to detail at all. So many mistakes it’s crazy this is a model home. The construction workers blast their music all day from early morning to end of day we can’t sleep from them. Wood delivery dropped off at 5:30 am the other day waking up every one in the house. 5:30am the delivery driver is slamming his flatbed up and down to shake the wood off his truck. They come onto our property many times since we moved in. The construction workers park in front of our house literally taking our sidewalk parking and drinking beer and having lunch right outside our yard. You guys have over stretched your employees it’s hard to get a timely response and so many missed appointments I can’t begin to mention. This all takes time out of my life. There’s so much construction debris in and out the house. The hardwood floors are full of paint marks and paint drips. The windows are damaged and paint stuck on them. The concrete outside my house is so bad everyone who comes to my house mentions how bad it is. I’ve had 2 friends get nails in their tires. ... More

We love our home. Our Superintendent Saul was very accommodating and always available. Any major or minor issues we had were resolved with Saul’s empathy and timely response. We always felt like he was our greatest advocate and wanted what was best for us and our new home.

We had a great experience working with Brian, Doug, Stephen and the whole staff at Richmond Homes. They were attentive, expedient, and professional. They made sure we were highly satisfied with our new home.
