Buying the home was made easy by PJ the sales agent. So far have been upgrading the house before actual moving in. All issues so far have been taken care of in a timely fashion.

Where do we start… We purchased our house sight unseen. The quality looked great on the brochures!! It is far from it. They use low grade contractors that don’t care how they build it. The craftsmanship is horrible. We have had SEVERAL issues on our house from day 1 and still going to day 95. Yeah sure they will send out their contractors but be for warned they will only patch or do amiss poor job repairing anything you ask them. We are living in hell and wish we could take it all back. We tried several times to contact their corporate center only to be ghosted!! Absolutely terrible communication throughout the entire process. We have never made a worse decision than this building our lives and we have built several houses. If we could give them zero stars we would……. You all have been warned! ... More

A couple things, first the sales representative was horrible, total lack of response to multiple inquires, I felt many times he blew us off. As far as the home, I’m mostly happy but there are a few issues I would expect a seasoned builder to get right. First not all studs are 16” on center, a big problem I noticed when mounting brackets for TVs in what I consider logical places. Some I found were 17, some at 21, very frustrating. Also electrical outlets, same with TV locations, they are not center in walls where they should be logically. This shows poor care in craftmanship

We purchased a new build from Richmond American and were hesitant about the "new build nightmare" you hear so much about. But, so far, we have no regrets about purchasing this home. When we did have an issue, we were able to get the help we needed, and the issue was resolved on a holiday within a few hours.

Suri was always professional, understanding and very responsive to questions or concerns. We think very highly of him and his overall way of going about business with Richmond Homes and a potential buyer. I will recommend him to anyone inquiring about buying a home and steer them towards Richmond Homes and tell them to deal exclusively with Suri. I know that any sales person's main thing is to sell a property but with Suri we felt that making sure we received a quality experience along with the home in the manner we could best afford was also foremost in dealing with us. We never felt pressured or pushed towards things that were not needed. His knowledge of the home product itself and all of the features, appliances and overall features impressed us and helped greatly in the home buying process. I love the home but here are the issues and this isn’t all of them. The air vent is located right next to the shower so it blows cold air right on you in the hot shower that’s a poor design, closed the air vent and that resolves that. Electrical issues lights blink in one area and fireplace makes a weird clicking sound repetitively that’s maddening. The major issue is I haven’t can’t cook a meal on my stove and I’ve lived there over a month because no one wants to fix or take responsibility for it not working and I’m currently going through the GE appliances website scheduling an appointment two weeks out so it’ll probably be two months in before I can cook a meal on the stove which is frustrating. ... Overall, mostly positive experience. The sales, and construction team were professional. The only exception was the representative for American Home Insurance, who recommended and attempted to push the highest possible insurance and underwrote a policy for $750K for a $500K loan. Needless to say, it was cancelled immediately after closing. Only minimal items noted after move-in. For example, ship item sticking up from under carpet in one room.

If you do not use Richmond to buy a home, shame on you. I would rather be homeless, than live in a home that is not Richmond. Do yourself a favor and consult Richmond for your home buying needs.

Very good experience. Would do it again

I would have liked to have a person at the home realtor office helping out with qualifying for loans, signing and assisting on important papers. None of that was done, it was assumed that all people have computers, tablets, or phones. Everything was rushed and signed papers need to be signed at the last minute, late in the evening. When everything was done the gentlemen and the lady who presented the house, showed how everything worked and how to take of it and if anything need to be corrected give them a call. I thought that was good.

We had a good experience. The Sales person was awesome.

From our first day seeing houses everything was very smooth. Super friendly staff at Richmond. Brandi the Richmond sales agent in our areas was extremely attentive and quick to respond to any and all questions. She was amazing! And even the loan officers all were very responsive and made everything as smooth and quick as possible. We were surprised at how good and smooth everything went. Even after closing our warranty agent Nicole has been on top of the little details being addressed with our home. She’s very knowledgeable and on top of it. We’re very happy with our home purchase, it’s not our first Richmond home and have to admit we’re once again impressed and super happy with our new home. ... More

Riley at first seems to be an engaged construction super, but it is only superficial. There are so many things wrong with this house, and you soon learn that it's because Riley does not lead by example and hold his workers accountable. Tiled backslash with glazing worn off--rather than use a handful of new tiles, just slap them up on the wall. Plumbing fixtures that aren't quite tight and leak. Mis-wired switches. Scratched windows, with damaged frames and broken locks. Mis-cut trim around most doors. So many things to fix, we filled more than a page prior to closing, and it continued even after closing. And then some things only get partially fixed. I could write an even longer essay on the lack of attention to detail and poor follow through, but it will only fall on deaf ears. My sales agent Marco was outstanding and very easy to work with. He was very responsive to all my texts, questions and concerns in regards to the home buying process. I appreciate the staff and also the warranty people as well.

My wife and I are truly grateful for the quality of the home and the professionalism of the team that we deal with and you’re not left out on an island after the sale you receive emails and they truly do want to make you happy.! Our move in was pushed multiple times. We signed early with the promise from Richmond that multiple issues would be fixed after. 2 months after moving in and there’s still things that haven’t been fixed. It is very hard to get ahold of anyone to take care of these issues and having gone through 3 superintendents on a 6 month period seems to cause things to fall through the cracks. The quality of materials is not great considering the cost of the house.

Been a month since moving into our new home and there were a few minor issues and the warranty department is pretty responsive. While the house look and interior feel is good, can't help but notice some of the low end products used in construction, which is pretty common with today's track home builders. Got the benefit of the rate buy down, which helped a lot. Field staff, Chuck Salo and Manny Tacho were very responsive, approachable and helpful. Loan processing team members, Jennifer and Darcie provided excellent and responsive service. Not a good experience with their Sales Rep Sonja (is a rep at Firefly subdivision) who was great until making a commitment to purchase but became unfriendly and unhelpful for the remainder of the process. She needs to develop customer service mindset and learn how to communicate better. ... More

Our new Richmond-American home is something we've always wanted. Design and quality are excellent and the home is exactly what we were looking for. Our salesperson, Courtney, is outstanding and made the whole process very easy. The few minor new home follow-up items were handled quickly by Nathan, and the Richmond-American team has checked in with us several times to ensure all is well. What a terrific experience.

Buying a home can be stressful, but Carrie made it feel simple and manageable. She explained everything clearly, kept me updated, and was patient with all my questions. I really appreciated how smooth the process was and how supported I felt the whole time.

It was awful...if time could go back I would never purchase this house. I moved a month ago and one thing after another doesn't work. I have been promised multiple times that this will be corrected or that.....never happened. I have uneven ceilings, broken cabinet, uneven flooring, chipped wood in stair rail and hundreds of other things.

Buying a house is supposed to be exciting blah blah....Well buying a Richmond Homes was the absolute worse experience I've had. If we wouldn't of been left homeless I would have walked away from this purchase. As I get settled in and what not ive noticed a lot of issues. In the RV garage, the wall outlets are not at the same height level. The sheetrock edges arent on 2x4s. The RV garage has a whole 3 outlets in the 43 foot garage. They left the plastic on the over head lights, when the garage opener was installed they took the power cord and went around the frame to plug it in, this caused the light cover to not close. The back deck was a total waste, it was 3x5 or so. No stairs to the back yard from the deck which was over 24 inches high. When I brought this up the fix they went with was to add a complete railing around the deck. By doing this we had no access to the yard till I removed it. My husband and I spent months looking at different homes, and we randomly came across the Arborbrook community. Our sales agent Ryan gave us the tours. We fell in love with the models instantly. He then proceeded to show us some spec homes that were move-in ready. Who knew we would fall in love with one! We put a deposit down the next day. The escrow process of course is always stressful, but they made it easy and were super patient and understanding. Fast forward, WE ARE IN OUR BEAUTIFUL NEW RICHMOND HOME!!!! Thank you so much for making our dream come true.
