Lori was a fantastic sales agent and facilitated the purchase of my new home flawlessly. Everyone from the lender to the closing team was fantastic.

House is about 95% perfect. There are always going to be the little things you find that need fixing. I think some of those things should have been found prior to us finding them, but none the less, the builder was quick to accept and address those issues. (minor things by the way). Hopefully the rest of the short list is addressed as quickly as the first few items have been.

My home buying experience was phenomenal due to my real estate agent helping me. The overall home of lantana is average. The house is obviously build quickly to have many customers move in. The quality is not $460k, but that is something most people will need to realize is the norm. The structure is not the same quality as older homes but I accepted it. It is a good starter home.

The house has been ok. No serious issues.Mostly normal new house issues. It would have been nice if there had been at least one pest control treatment as the spiders are out of control. However, with exception of financing part of Richmond, no one else cares about follow up or the buyer. They expect you to meet their schedule for every step and act like they are doing you a favor selling you a home. There is generally no respect for the owner at any point: be prepared to continually call or text if there are issues immediately following move in.

Excellent builder to work with. Staff is courteous and helpful. Everyone will go above and beyond to solve a problem or to satisfy the customer. We would definitely recommend Richmond American Homes!

Our experience with Richmond American Homes has been nothing short of a disaster, and I feel compelled to warn potential buyers. From misleading information to shockingly poor quality and abysmal customer service, this builder has proven to be a master of deception. Before closing, we were provided incorrect school zoning information. It later became clear they had the correct details but deliberately withheld them until after the closing date. This blatant dishonesty alone should be a massive red flag for anyone considering their homes. Their claims of "good quality" are an absolute joke. On the very first day we moved in, all the toilets were inexplicably clogged. We desperately tried to reach their emergency team, but there was no response, forcing my family, including my elderly mother, to seek refuge at a friend's house in the middle of the night. The emergency team finally showed up the next day. Not only did they fail to apologize for this horrific ordeal, but they also didn’t reimburse me. This level of disregard for their customers' well-being is simply unacceptable. Beyond the initial plumbing nightmare, we've been plagued with numerous other quality issues. Doors, windows, and water taps all presented problems, and while some were eventually "fixed," these repairs often took an excessive amount of time, and new issues continue to emerge even after the so-called fixes. It's clear that their homes are built with the cheapest materials and/or minimal care. I've already saved several friends from making the same mistake, directing them to a more reputable builder instead. I urge anyone considering Richmond American Homes to treat them as your absolute last option. Be extremely cautious with their sellers, as they seem to prioritize making a sale over providing accurate information. I genuinely feel tricked and misled by this builder. It was great process. This was my very first Richmond home purchase. This was one of my best home purchases ever.

Jessi was the our sales rep. She was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and concerns quickly and responsively, both with sub contractors and our loan reps. James was a great help as a project manager. He took care of seeing that all our concerns regarding the structure were handled quickly and correctly.

Moving from Maryland was an adventure. We weren't looking for a new build but this house checked all our boxes. The buying process was good as any house buying process could be. The quality of the house is A++. We couldn't be happier with our new home. The builder notated 98% of deficiencies and had them repaired before closing. Can't say enough about the warranty process too. Very responsive and fantastic customer service.

My experience with this builder was smooth from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and kept me informed throughout the entire process. They delivered on their promises and made the homebuying journey feel organized and stress-free. The quality of the home is well-designed, thoughtfully finished, and built with care. It’s clear that the builder values craftsmanship and attention to detail. I also feel the home offers great value for the price. I’m very happy with my new home and grateful for the team that made it happen.

Always, Always have a home inspected prior to purchase. So much wrong with our brand new home before we signed, even more found after close. A 12’ hole had to be dug to fix underground plumbing sewer line belly. We have lived here for 45 days and still have a laundry list of repairs needed. Trades are garbage with zero care for their given trade. We have bad flooring, subfloors, large holes in the walls, exposed copper. Took 45 days post close to get front landscaping. Landscape company is another nightmare. They have delayed, delayed blaming us as homeowners somehow for their delay and crappy work. Richmond builds as fast as possible and hopes the buyer doesn’t care about safety or fit & finish. Zero oversight of trades from the builder during construction and even less after close. Someone needs to be in the Quality Control mindset on the job site, unfortunately this isn’t the builder for that. The contractor who builds metal hand railing for Richmond walked right into our home like he owned the place after we moved in. He was supposed to replace the hand railing leading into the basement. This contractor has known about the faulty handrail for MONTHS. Of course the builder waits until after we have closed to approve the handrail to be replaced. This initial delay has now turned into a 6 week wait with no updates. We have no clue when our documented list of repairs will be completed. We were told that all neighbors had to share the expense of the back yard fencing. Of course my neighbor wants to avoid us like the plague now that we have paid for the entire fence. I urge anyone reading this to do more research on the builder in the area you are considering. Have your new build inspected!! Do not take possession until your list of repairs have been completed. I can tell you after 45 days we still have no end in sight for the easiest of repairs. Lord help us if something really bad happens to this home. Zero faith in this builder and their hired trades. This is a million dollar house Richmond. Do better! Hire better! Have some freaking oversight of your trades. Have some pride in the homes you build!! ... More

Response time and action taken is lengthy

The solution to the problems at home has not been quick, I have had to adapt to the schedules established by the contractors and sometimes they have not gone to my house to solve the problems, in other cases the contractors have not responded, that is, I am in my new house and I cannot show it complete to my friends and family because there are still things to repair, I hope they solve it soon.

They buying experience was made really easy with the help of Ester she was extremely help. Joel has been very responsive but with Josh the has he would reach out and schedule someone to fix some cracks on our corner beads and has not reach back out and scheduled any date for repairs. Most of the team for Richmond has been fantastic

The agent was wonderful. No pressure, just provided us with information and answered our questions timely and best as the agent can.

I got a good deal on the house. They worked with me on it and I thought it was very fair. The home seems to be of great quality. I am happy about everything.

I want to start by stating that we love our new home and are extremely happy with our purchase. I was a a bit skeptical since the onlone reviews on Richmond American were not that great, many of them were questioning the quality of the work. This is not the case so far with our purchase. The initial contact with the Deacon, our loan officer, was a bit lacking. We would request items and we would not hear from him for days or weeks. The closer we got to closing, not more attentive he was to us and our request. At the end of it all, he made up for it the closer we got to closing. Our sales rep, Wray, was awesome, he was attentive to all our request and to this day he still drives by and waves hello with a big ol’ smile on his face. Justin and his team also did pretty good. There are still some items that need to be fixed around the house, but we are in no hurry for them. We do wish we would get an update on and estimated time of completion. We ended with a half acre lot and we love our lot! The only thing that was disappointing was it wasn’t until towards the end of the buying process that we found out that there were limitations on what we can do to our backyard. There are certain easements lines all around our fence line that we are not allowed to build in. Also, the septic system take up more than half of the backyard and it’s highly recommended we don’t build our plant anything. ... More

Workmanship is bad..very bad, people who is in charge to help you, for example the super intendent of project bad, need to hire people who really wants to help the costumers needs. A lot of issues in a brand new home, still waiting for response..very bad experience.

I had an issue after moving in where I noticed a crack in the tub. It has been fixed correctly and looks great.

The overall experience buying a new construct home was 4 stars. The sales associate and representatives that front run the sales of Richmond homes were very professional! The home purchased was beautiful but did come with more after work than expected from a new construct. Nonetheless the Construction Manager stepped in to help and still being present until all repairs are made has been refreshing! Overall I know most experiences aren’t perfect so beginning to end I comment Richmond on where they are now as a company and the sky is the limit if they continuously strive for excellence!

Susan, the community representative, was amazing with providing information and timely responses. We actually looked at 2 communities with her and our realtor. We chose to finance through the builder taking advantage of their interest rate incentive. That process was a little stressful, but once we found the right representative, the issues at hand were quickly resolved. All in all, we are happy with our purchase and the craftsmanship of the house.

We were so excited to get into our new home. He likes the area and the sidewalks and the amenities nearby. However or happiness quickly went away on our walkthrough with Nicole at McCormick trails. She was incredibly unprofessional and abrupt, maybe because it was a Friday afternoon and she wanted to end her work week, we don't know. She was literally walking a few yards in front of us talking and walking fast like she wanted to get things done asap. We had questions and we were constantly belittled by her as she made us feel like we were stupid for asking them in the first place. My wife and I kept looking each other like we did something wrong. The entire walkthrough was like this from start to finish. After we were done she quickly got her car and left. Left a very bad taste in our mouth. But it doesn't stop there. Then for final walkthrough we had to endure the complete unprofessionalism and rudeness of Preston. As soon as I stepped out of my car I was so excited to see the house again as we're moving in soon. I went to introduce myself but instead Preston said is there anybody else with you and looked at his watch as it was 5 minutes before the start of the walkthrough and apparently he needed to get things done and wanted to start early. I explained to him that our realtor was nearby and wanted to a company us. Preston said I don't know why your realtor with you because I'm not changing anything in the house and we don't have to do anything that they point out. I then asked him if I did something wrong ? And then introduced myself, and try to get off on a better foot. Rather than be friendly and have a conversation you again was very coarse and said we don't even have to have Realtors come with us if we don't want to in fact we don't like having them here. At that point I just stepped away from him and waited until she arrived. What transpired after that was absolutely shocking. There was some painting that still needed to be done the mantle was not level in a few other things Etc and he literally said and I quote we don't have to fix that, or we're not going to do that, I've never run across anybody that was so immature and rude in that type of setting. He even raised his voice at us as we were getting frustrated trying to explain what we wanted. We would never want any of our friends to buy a house from Richmond American and go through the process that we did. I could explain further but I understand this is a limited space. I’m happy to share that my home buying experience went very smoothly and exceeded my expectations. From the beginning, everything was handled with great care and professionalism. Communication was clear and timely, which made the process much less stressful than I anticipated.My realtor, my lender and my builder were all amazing and would definitely recommend .
