I had a good home buying expérience with you guys.but otherwise i missed to see a broken glass on the garage door on my final tour.as i moved the same day in afternoon i noticed the damage and claim a repair. I have got a promise but nobody have yet showed to fix anything.

Jaelle has been and continues to be very helpful through the buying process of home.shr showed us a couple of models . It was a move in quick home. We loved the home and for the price we felt very happy that we were given a good deal. We quickly put down payment and within two weeks we owned and closed house. She also helped by opening home to workers or packages I had sent to house. She is very trustworthy. I continue to ask questions after moving in and all the girls in office and dj got home warranty have been so helpful and made buying and taking care of house worry free. He really impressed me with his ability to multitask and answer my calls, text messages, and questions promptly. Overall I had a good experience buying my first home. My sales rep was amazing. She reassured me the entire time, didn’t pressure me, and overall made me feel like I could do it. Buying your first home can be so nerve wracking but she was such a calming presence and made it a lot smoother. The loan officer I worked with was awesome too. She was very responsive and laid everything out clearly. I had a great experience with the title company as well. Very responsive, answered all my questions and signing went very smoothly. Where the issues started happening was with the loan processor (or back end person) and the insurance officer. They didn’t respond to my questions in a timely manner and left me in the dark around timing which was very frustrating. The insurance broker did not include all of the discounts in my quote and I ended up having to pay more upfront. Even though I told him over 3 times to review the documents, which he did not in time for closing. For someone who’s going through the process for the first time, I would expect clear answers and timing. Luckily everyone else made up for it. ... More

Our home required removal of a shower pan and some tile/drywall. When the drywall was removed, a water bottle full of urine was found. I’m happy to provide a picture for proof. Overall, the craftsmanship of the home has been lacking. We’ve had to contact the warranty representative frequently. It’s disappointing considering what was paid for the home. We already have concerns about its’ longevity.

Richmond American employees at the build site did not appear to care about the buyer’s experience. Each week, we would receive an update on work that would be done the following week and each week, it was the same work. In other words, for 5-6 weeks, absolutely no progress was made on our build. We had to involve our realtor several times to follow up and go onsite to speak to employees. The superintendent Nick created a lack of trust with Richmond and even after move-in, a several items from our final walk through have not been completed including items that violate local code (international code 504.7, IRC R311.7). It was only when the project manager, Jim, got involved about 6 weeks before move-in that we finally started to see traction. Jim truly cared about our experience and was the saving grace to the whole process. Despite that, our close date got pushed out 4 weeks which is a lot of time to be displaced between homes. ... More

Richmond willingness to work with us exceeded our expectations. They were patient with waiting for our other home to sell unlike other builders.

The on site sales and construction team were the best! The loan team made the experience not pleasant, please improve the loan process.

We have bought several homes, even built a custom home, the home buying process with Richmond was likely the best experience we have had. The quality of the materials, the selections of the mechanicals, they just go above and beyond and are not a typical contractor trying to hit the “industry standard”. We feel this was a good investment and something we are confident will return on that investment down the road. Thanks!

Best home buying experience!

Our home was purchased at great price-value for area and craftsmanship of home builder. My wife and I were very happy with whole process and Darlene was great throughout entire time before and after closing follow up on small fixes.

We had a very good experience overall. We found a dream home that we weren’t even looking for. The sales representative was wonderful, helpful and informative, but not pushy or annoying like someone can be. Every other interaction was genuine, straightforward, and met expectations. We are very happy with our purchase and our beautiful home.

Andrew is very quick to respond when an issue or need arises. The subcontractors have also been quick to respond and very communicative. Negatives...... All bathroom vanities don't have drawers, that is a zero on a scale of 1-10. Also the toilets are extremely low.

From initial contact to and beyond closing, aside from being what would describe as the consummate Realtor he was professional, consistent and super personable. He always responded to my questions and calls with a since of urgency and provided the needed answers. For me the several crooks and turns that occurred while working through the loan process often stressed my out and invoked major anxiety and to be quite candid ticked me off. He was a consistent voice for calm and reassurance that everything would work out. His positive approach to this process was infectious. At closing I walked away with joy about my brand-new house and a since of gratitude for having crossed paths with Jerry on this Journey. Richmond homes Jerry is a Keeper. From Jim opening early on a Sunday morning to receiving the key at closing (and even beyond) this was an exceptional experience. The house, community and little extras are more than I had hoped for when beginning my home search.

Pay attention to details, ask a lot of questions.

Our home was already built when we bought it but it feels like a quality home. Every person we have dealt with from sales to loan to walk through and warranty items and trade people have all been very friendly and professional. With the few warranty items that have been found, Richmond has been very responsive. We are happy with our home and our overall experience.

Walked through the model home and inquired about options, minor changes and or possible upgrades. I was informed that upgrades / changes were no longer available. So I verbally confirmed that the model home that we were observing was the home that we would be purchasing. Upon our walk through I identified that we were missing 2 electrical outlets in the pantry and master bedroom. I was informed by the general contractor that we should have those plugs. I was later informed that it was not on the electrical plans. I spoke with a number of representatives in finding a resolution in getting what I paid for to match what I looked at for purchase. I was informed that buried in that 76 page contract was a clause that declares that it didn’t matter what the model home looked like, it did not have to include the same basic features. I explained that it was misleading to show basic home features that you would believe to be part of the structure to then find out that none of what you looked at was a guarantee. I offered to provide the materials to have 2 plugs installed. It was denied. What could have taken an hour of labor to resolve was not worth it to Richmond Homes. I was further informed that if I had it done on my own then that would nullify the electrical warranty on the home. It was also identified on both walk through’s that we had standing water in and around the home. We were informed on both walk through’s that this would be addressed. We also discovered that the master bedroom door would not latch as it was improperly aligned along with a couple of other minor things. Richmond homes stated that these items would be taken care of and addressed. It is now almost a month into the home and they have not been fixed. I have attempted to call the vice president directly using the phone number on the email. Nobody answers and the voice message says that nobody is available to answer and try back later. The voicemail does not even have a message that identifies the number of Richmond Homes. I like my home overall and it was sad that these items could of been taken care of with very little expense. Richmond Homes only cares about stuffing a couple hundred of extra dollars into its pocket instead of customer satisfaction. Unfortunately customer service does not exist with Richmond Homes. ... More
