I had a great experience with their Agent, Megan, on purchasing a new home from Richmond. She was very professional, resourceful and transparent throughout the entire buying process. The home is beautiful and reasonably priced for all the upgrades in the final price tag. When comparing all the Builders & amenities in the neighborhood, Richmond Homes definitely stuck out to be the better option, by far. No disappointments!

Purchasing was fine. The readiness for walk-through was an issue twice. The first time I verified on Friday that the house would be ready Monday. I was traveling from 10 hours away to get there. When I arrived they were framing the driveway to be poured and there was still work to be done inside. The second time it was still not totally done and we discovered that where there was supposed to be an 8 ft french door per the JIO, there was a 5 ft empty opening. I closed anyway thinking it would be handled quickly. I have been out once since then and it wasn't done yet. At that time I also discovered with the help of Richmond staff that there was no modem in the utility closet to set up internet. I plan to be there the week of Thanksgiving for most of the move-in and I have no idea if it's been resolved yet. ... More

He was evasive, loud mouthed, disrespectful to me on multiple occasions. I do not want him on my property. I note Paul has a visual deficit, he 'cannot see ' the simple and obvious items that need repair and attention. Sales by Jill was fabulous. Very kind , knowledgeable and professional, attentive to all my new home questions. Paul is a down size to Richmond homes. He is not welcome on my property after his aggressive behavior. The home is wonderful. We had a great experience purchasing the home. The only thing we have had trouble with is responsiveness to issues, but it is in the process of getting fixed.

Once we closed, the sales person was non responsive. We have questions and have sent emails, with no response. The drawers are very shallow and don't hold any of size

The best home purchase experience with real time response and advocacy. To buy a home is one thing but to have a good customer service is really satisfying. Great job, Team Richmond American Homes!

This experience has been an absolute nightmare. Two days after move in, our downstairs bathroom flooding raw sewage. A month and a half later we’re STILL waiting for fixes! The super rarely answers the phone, and if he does, he has no idea the deadlines of material. The installers show up unannounced WITHOUT supplies because they thought Richmond was supplying everything. It’s a cluster mess and miscommunication around every corner.

The process from beginning to end was great. Sales office was very communicative and upfront. The fixes requested were done in a timely and effective manner..

Over all a great experience! Love the house and the neighborhood!

Our experience with Richmond American Homes has been disappointing from the beginning. Upon purchasing our home, we discovered several issues that needed attention. Unfortunately, the response time to address these concerns was unacceptably slow, and commitments to fix them were often delayed or missed entirely. It took countless follow-up conversations to see any progress. Contractors claimed they attempted repairs but couldn’t access the home, despite no arrangements for entry being made. As a result, many fixes only occurred after we moved in, forcing us to repeatedly rearrange furniture just to accommodate these overdue repairs. Even now, some issues remain unresolved, highlighting a lack of focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Richmond American Homes seems more focused on completing sales than delivering well-built, problem-free homes. Given this experience, we foresee relocating in a few years. I would urge anyone considering Richmond American to be cautious and prepared for ongoing follow-ups if issues arise. ... More

Quality was not what we were hoping for. A lot of paint issues, loose towel bars ,and recently noticed windows aren’t level

Lot of house for the price, we love the open concept with the kitchen, dining/sunroom and family room and the brightness of the Daniel floor plan. The team of Slyvia and Josh were great to work with

The construction supervisor did not handle the issues appropriately or in a timely manner. Full of excuses and knows the issues but showed little care to resolve appropriately.

We had a great experience from start to finish! Andrew was a pleasure to work with and was always available to chat… even on his days off. We purchased from out of state and he held several virtual house walks that helped our buying experience. We also paid for a 3rd party inspector who came back and said “this is one of the best new construction houses he has seen in years”! This put us at ease. And even though there are always little things that come up after closing, they are always quick to react and have addressed everything! Nick with the warranty team have been great. This has been a great experience and would not hesitate to purchase a Richmond home in the future. ... More

Do not trust superintendent in charge of getting home ready for move in.

We feel that the motto was “ build a home For as inexpensive as we can. No way to hook up a water softener No way to make changes when the house hasn’t even been framed ( little changes even) Heating registers are at the bare minimum

The selling staff was great. Always on top of any situation. After buying, the customer service for service calls is a little difficult to work with. But overall a good experience

Throughout the building process we were treated as disposable buyers. Our concerns, questions, requests, all fell by the wayside. The project took longer than expected and it was costly for me and my family. At no point, including now, has Richmond reached out in attempt to make things right. We found the right lot in a great spot so we stuck it out. I do not recommend choosing Richmond if you're hoping to be wowed with customer service and support. At move in- Our home was not move in ready clean, the AC wasn't hooked up fully, showers weren't fully caulked, drywall repairs weren't completed, insulation buttoning wasn't completed in the basement, a white pvc pipe is still protruding from a drain in my entry way that was supposed to get fixed, counter top decorative mounding fell off right after move in, they painted the washer hookups making it a task to get a seal, wrong towel rack was installed in a bathroom and it was never fixed.. again we got a great lot in an awesome spot. We do think the house is pretty and was built with quality materials. The issue was the customer service, the follow ups, the delays, being ignored etc. ... More
