Good to work with but the craftsmanship needs a little help

The whole home purchase and lending process was smooth & quick.

Richmont American offers great home buying incentives for first time or second time home buyers. We were only eligible for the second home and originally planned to buy an old house from 1997, but the interest rate was as high as 8.125%, which deterred us. Then my agent told me that we might be able to get a good deal on a loan to buy a new home with Richmont American, so we focused on their new building in North Las Vegas and managed to be very happy with our favorite single-family home with buy down interest rate of less than 6.5%. Their sale person Eric, loan officer Brian and loan processor Stacey and final walkthrough inspector Yammi are also very helpful, providing us valuable advice and excellent services during the transaction. ... Underwriting process was very bad. Loan officer Steven and processor Ryan have done awesome job. Whoever the underwriter was on file was just a disaster. The Underwriting process was very frustrating, overwhelming and nerve wrecking. Please please pay revisit your underwriters because they can cost you business. I had a very strong file but it still gave me a headache.

I am please with the model I purchased. It is beautiful and spacious. My only problem is that construction discrepancies and defects really have not been corrected promptly. Had there been a bit more attention to detail and quicker response I would have awarded a higher score.

Amazing home! Love the house and the design. The community is perfect and everyone is very friendly.

They get you to sign the purchase agreement and put down earnest money under the impression you will get all these benefits, once purchase agreement is signed their lender has impossible standards. They will likely reject you despite being approved by dozens of other lenders. Further the lender requested that I pull my application which would cause a forfeit of earnest money. Do not trust. Do all negotiations up front. They have zero effort in resolving issues.

Great size homes .

The Sales agent Mike was outstanding. The home buying process was a daister until Charles Baker wad involved. His steady and positive approach, helped me during my purchase. I commend him tremendously for his professionalism. Lastly, there is an issue with the oven that has never been used. It's been two months and it needs to be replaced.

Having a ready made Home was key to our needs. Moving out of State was an important step in finding our next home as quickly as possible.

Steve the sales representative was very helpful.

Selena the sales agent was very knowledgeable and very helpful with the buying process she made it very easy and put all my worries aside

The sales gril take my calls and answers my questions all the time and provide all the help I need

The experience with the sales person Zack was great and with all others during the purchase process! Now that we are in not so good sent work order for things that needed to be fixed and have not been contacted yet! We need some major things fixed like a pipe in our roof that just goes into the attic but connected to nothing. I can see light around my front door, garage door into house does not latch properly as other doors have same issue. We have a trusses in the attic that is cracked etc. sure would like these things fixed. Also if you want an independent inspection done make sure you set it up with plenty of time at least 3 to 4 weeks so they can do all their checks on the inspector. The whole buying exercise was very informative and extensive especially on documentation and follow up. Since we had a good realtor who understood our requirements it was easier to engage with Richmond staff and the overall experience was good. There was good collaboration between Richmond staff especially Morgan, Chris and Jennifer. Otherwise I would recommend other potential homebuyers to consider Richmond American homes

The staff was always available and very supportive and helpful.

Paid the house in a premium price but they have not let us pick the materials of choice because they said it is already pre selected. We just have no choice because we are buying for the location and schools. Quality is okay, they always rush you to close instead entertain or ask you about concerns or what not. Overall. They are just okay. Typical builder that prioritize business over customer satisfaction

I have been in my home for one month and have multiple issues. I had a major roof leak, which has been a fight and has not been complete. The soil surrounding the home is so bad and was not compacted that every estimate for landscaping has mentioned to complete the yard adequately, that I would need to put in about 15k worth of dirt before doing any landscaping. The recent rains have caused major movement in cement and my driveway is already heaving. The cement in my backyard cracks more and more every day. Walk through items on day of closing are yet to be looked at. Carpet is coming up, doors do not close properly or will not open unless you yank on them. The flooring is coming up in the living room. The dishwasher is already broken. Trim is coming off. The track for the rolling trash can receptacle is not functioning properly. There is a giant chip in the new cabinets. There was never a construction clean complete - paint and blemishes throughout. The stone is falling off the front of the house.......all warranty issues that were being brought to the attention of the local warranty agent, Rada - who is apparently the "bod cop" of the organization as she was rude and unprofessional...in regard to the roof leak she said "I don't care - I will stop all repairs" - when I objected to them sending a worker to complete the work who had no idea what was supposed to be done and could not speak English and was asking the occupants what he was supposed to do via a google translator. Considering water was dripping through the light fixture - I thought it was important to have the electrician do a thorough job and not ask the owners how to do electrical work. As I stated earlier Rada added insult to injury by being rude and unprofessional and hanging up on me. The saving grace of this community is Teran and the trades supervisor Luke. They have been so kind and have done as much as they possibly can to support me during this a very stressful time - which should not occur with a brand-new home. Overall, I had a great experience with Richmond homes. The closing process was a little clunky and it seemed as soon as I sent in documents I requested more documents were requested. It would’ve been nice to have a checklist of every document required for closing so that I could just turn everything in at once. Other than that things went well

The floor plans and lots are nice. The sales agents seldom gave updates, and was very hands off and everything was “out of their control”. There were frequent delays, communicated last minute, with vague reasons give. The day before closing, we were told it was delayed, yet again. The day before closing! Several rollover items from the final walk are still incomplete. Several new work orders after move in are still incomplete, going on over a month.

I walked the home with our sales associate Beverly and our realtor and immediately fell in love with the layout. The home was at the top of our price point, but had everything we were hoping to find in a home. Beverly and our build team updated us each week on the progress (we were living out of state) with pictures and information about what was being done at that time. During our orientation, everything was explained in thorough detail to us, and great advice was given to help us take care of our brand new home. The fixtures and included appliances aren’t great quality, but they get the job done for the time being.
