Richmond team works great throughout the process, everything is well taking care of and meet most of my expectation.

Overall my experience was great. I’m very pleased with my home the area the work that was put in. Keep up the great work I would definitely in the near future purchase another home with them.!!!

Not a good experience because I just told almost maximum closing cost 2% but actually cost was more than that, many issues when came never been solved

I love the area I chose & so far the home I am in is amazing.

This is my second home, but first time with Richmond. Sales representative is great. I appreciate Brad for his prompt replies and sharing progress every week. Construction manager was responsive to the issues reported to him with immediate actions. I am yet to evaluate with the warranty guys as I will need them very soon for the recently discovered construction issues. Overall not a bad experience but could have been better if Richmond had a better policy about after sales and service. This is not people problem, but the Company policy. Problem:. Most of the buyers will have trouble finding drywall's/paint issues during inspection causing them to live or fix their own. Richmond doesn’t provide warranty on drywall and paint which is standard with all the builders. BUT, Most of the other builders provide a couple of “free hours” for paint/drywall post closing, but Richmond just wants you to live with that. We’ve had a lot of issues after buying the home. A lot of poor quality work done on the home. Many things not put together well, the upstairs bathroom flooded after a storm because there is an issue with the roof or the pipes and now we’re worried about mold and water damage from every storm before that. We’ve appreciated quick responses to our warentee requests to address these issues. And that we are under warentee, but very disappointed in how poorly the condition of our new home was in.

We bought a move in ready home and our experience was great. They fixed all the minor touch ups we asked for before closing and we had two walk throughs before we moved in. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and still continue to support us with any questions we have after we have moved in. Overall we had a great experience with our new home.

Very bad and take long time to fix .look like I beg for repair

The sales process was very efficient and pleasant. After moving in we found several issues with the house itself. We made a list and were instructed to communicate with their representative to get these resolved. Almost a month and a half later and all communication is one way - me to them. I don’t even get a thanks for the text I am working on it. Nothing. It is very frustrating.

Richmond American Homes provided a very professional new home construction purchase experience from the very start to moving into our beautiful new home. Everyone at Richmond America Homes whom we had the pleasure to work with has went the extra mile to ensure we received a high quality, well built, aesthetically pleasing home.

During our build there was turnover in some key positions which led to delays, poor communication, and ultimately a disappointing final product. The unnecessary delays led to additional storage and alternative living expenses that added up. The poor communication led to a lack of accountability during the building process, and this became evident when the final product was made available. At closing, the house was incomplete and lacked the level of pride and craftsmanship one would expect for a home in this price range. From large, egregious errors (Example: exhaust vent fan falling out of the ceiling), to a lack of detail with simple tasks (Example: door handles and electric outlets crooked throughout) we have been frustrated and disappointed with the entire Richmond American home buying experience. Esther made it so easy and fun during the entire purchase process. She also helped me out with any kind of assistance I asked for. All in all a memorable buying experience since it was my first home.

Very disappointing to call for a warranty after we moved, lots things are not working as expected. Emergency calls are not properly addressed until we resolve it on our own. We have to call an electrician and paid out of pocket just to resolve the issues we moved 3 weeks ago and most of the issues we submitted are still pending. I never heard any reply from anybody.

We have been absolutely disappointed with this company. We have never had a construction company have not care or their product or it’s finished homes. The outside of the house has so many touch ups that needed to be done. There are so many nail holes that were not covered properly, ,as the inside do too! The cabinets were not finished at the corners, the fans are constantly on and off at all times of the day and night. The furnace makes a loud noise when it comes on and off. The ac unit does the same noise. We have beer asked to check the filters we did that doesn’t have anything to do with the noise. I’m so sad the company doesn’t care who there contractors are, because we love the layout of our house and the design. My husband and I bought our first home in March and just to sum up our experience I’ll write a small review for now. from the beginning our experience was less than favorable, our sales agent did not know how to handle any questions we had. Our home also did not come with blinds, fans, and bonus we got a broken front window that had been there since October and we moved in March 25th. Overall I can’t recommend this builder, in-spite of our repeated efforts to connect with the sales agent manager and work with someone else we were not assisted. Nothing was ever done to rectify the poor experience we had with buying our first home and nothing was done or credited to “make it right” for us. ... More

Our sales agent Ricky Chase was nothing short of amazing. He explained everything very thoroughly and the whole process was smooth and seamless from start to finish. I was only disappointed in the final walk through the super Intendent was very lazy about getting things handled and done before move in so it put us behind. But Rick spoke up and got everything done so we can now enjoy our beautiful home!!! We absolutely love it!!! Thanks Ricky

The first super Rob quit between first walk and final walk and this delayed me moving in by over a week. The new super Shawn was great.

Everything about this experience has been bad. When we initially signed the paperwork we purchased sight-unseen. We liked the area and the floor plan so we ignored all of the terrible reviews of the builder online. Well, the bad reviews are well-deserved. We were initially told the home would be completed in January. We closed in March. I understand delays, of course, so I can forgive two months, considering weather delays this was not bad, in my opinion. What I find to be a real issue is that we hired a third party inspector and it was impossible for him to inspect the whole house. Things were not even close to finished. This was one week before closing. And, after asking multiple times if we were sure we would be able to close on time it wasn't until less than 24 hours before we were supposed to close that we received a TEXT MESSAGE from the super's assistant to tell us we would not be closing the next day. We finally got the certificate of occupancy and closed late, but nothing that was on our punch list from the walk-through was completed. And we found multiple other issues in the days that followed, with no response from anyone. About 3 weeks after moving in we asked when someone would call us to schedule the 30 day walkthrough. We did get a response, but no one actually showed up. It wasn't until we went to corporate that we finally got the name of the boss to call to get scheduled. We've now confirmed the 30 day walkthrough where we hope to go through our laundry list of items that were not completed before close. We will see if anyone shows up this time. Given the fact that we haven't found a single neighbor in the whole neighborhood that has had their issues resolved I do not have high hopes. And after all of this, not a single apology or offer to fix anything. Instead, it's excuse after excuse as to why things aren't done (if you can get ahold of anyone, that is). In my opinion, this neighborhood needs to stop expansion until the houses that have already sold are completed. Obviously they are more concerned with selling as many homes as possible as quickly as possible and less concerned with their reputation or our home values. ... More

Overall purchasing from Richmond was a horrible decision and has been a nightmare. This was not my first time purchasing a house and I thought I was going a home with good company but the communication was horrible, fixing things were horrible and the staff were extremely rude.
