The only good thing about this company was the foreman. Otherwise, we were misled and deceived.

There were a few things that needed to be fixed. We called but we're not getting anywhere, but finally got someone to respond and they apologized and things went forward. They were very responsive after that . Most of our issues have now been addressed. The home itself is nice and we are happy with it.

Cheap materials all around the home unfinished floors broken cabinets , leaking faucets multiple issues these are just a few to list horrible experience during walkthru they say they will fix after closing but no remediation for the issues identified have to follow up multiple times with the rep to get something resolved sucha a pain to go thru all this for a brand new home simply would say do not buy !!

We have been looking at Richmond’s home for over 2 years in Menifee California. In December 2023 Jen called us and had the perfect property. We bought the house Jen showed us and are very happy with our new home. Very excited for the RV garage and all my cars fit in the garage now. Thank you!

Great sales poor everything else

We did not go through the customizing so cannot speak to that. However, our experience throughout the purchase and after has been sad. We paid for an outside inspection, highly recommended, and had a huge report on a new home. The first site guy was terrible to work with then we got Chad. He helped move the process along but there were still a bunch of items that were never done properly before our close. Still waiting on cabinet repairs (3 months later) and it took a full on fight to use our "warranty" to fix a gas leak at the range. I would not recommend friends or family to use this ...

When we did our walk through, we were told all repairs would be done on a timely manner, which has not been the case. We are going on our third month and we still have several issues, that have not been addressed. I was told by our Sales Rep and Builder to create tickets in the ticketing portal, but this has done nothing to escalate our reported issues. We have talked to our Neighbors and they are also experiencing the same issues with the Builder and Repairs. This is unacceptable in my opinion when purchasing a new home.

I love the openness of the floor in lan I picked. The door knobs will all have to be replaced in the next couple of years because they are probably the cheapest and lowest quality on the market. The sliding glass doors are cheaply made, the front door was installed incorrectly so air and light all around the frame. The concrete is so cracked in the garage I will always have problems. The yard is going to cost a fortune to make it enjoyable because of the sod and sod layers doing such a horrific job. Never again will I buy a ‘new build’.

NEVER BUY FROM RICHMOND AMERICAN!

The Craftsmanship of the homes in Timber Crest is worse than any other builder I have ever encountered. I'd take D.R. Horton over the garbage Richmond American had produced. The President of the TN operations is a lifelong salesman with no construction or development experience and it shows. EVERY SINGLE HOME in Timber Crest has issues. Everything from concerning drainage for water runoff in the neighborhood to forgetting to install insulation in homes (yes, forgetting to install insulation!!) has resulted in nightmares for all the residents in our community. Never buy from Richmond ...

Excellent Experience from Beginning to Closing & Beyond

My realtor, Veronica, was extremely helpful in understanding my requirements for a new home and communicating that with the builder's sales agent, Christian. He showed me the perfect home to meet every requirement I had. During the initial walkthrough, the builder's program manager, Dave, and warranty representative, Dawn, walked me through the home taking great notes on issues requiring attention. Approximately 30 days after closing, the warranty rep once again reached out to me to see if I had noticed anything needing repair. I had one spot at the top of the stairs where the floor squeaked. ...

The view is nice, the house looks nice but the quality of work suck! Would I buy another Richmond home? Not in a million years unless it’s been some miracle they actually took their time to build a quality home and not quantity. They give you a 6 month warranty but it takes them almost the same amount of time to fix the issues. No thanks!

Well, to be honest, the overall experience has not been very good at all. It was a rough start in the buying process. Then it got a little rough during the building process. And now that the house has been built and I have issues that I have addressed. I am overall very Concerned about how the issues are being addressed. It's like pulling teeth. All I hear is yeah. I hear a lot of that from The Other homeowners too, but I'm not sure how to Take Care of that. You've got to be kidding me. It's like I have to drag them kicking in screaming. My only issue is repairs that promise to be fixed have not been fixed or partially fixed. And every home in my subdivision foundation isn’t showing like it is on my home. It seems like another piece of siding should go there. So unfortunately I’m not happy until this matter is taking care of.

I would think twice before purchasing a home by Richmond. The quality is poor and they don't care about workmanship. If you find an issue after your walk through and closing they won't fix it. Make sure you document everything. Still waiting for a response to an issue the superintendent said he would take care of. It's been a month and half wirh NO response from him. Home buyer be aware!

Rushed to close the home not completed

Purchased and contract was to close in 2 months on a specific date when the home was to be completed. 1 week after contracting the insurance provider is the one that told me the builder is closing 2 weeks earlier. I could go on and on about the disappointment but let's just say the home was no where completed when I closed. The title company was hacked- not there fault but the had no communication an entire 2 weeks before closing. I never knew where I was signing or when. It was not a good experience. Nice home, not exceptional

Overall experience was fine. Like all other homebuilders the craftsmanship of the subcontractors was lacking and we had to call them out on several things. The contractors who come to fix the problems do a good job though. I think there is a lot of pressure put on the subs to work quickly and so at some point they quit caring. Our house is nice and we love the floorplan but I wouldn't say it was an exceptional value.
