It was a good job

We decided to buy from Richmond American because of the sales agent Jessica. She was great through out the whole process. The lender on the other hand gave us a bad experience. We didn’t feel valued at all and we had to proactively call to get things done ourselves to meet timelines. Calling lender was like pulling teeth and couldn’t get a response where we had to result to calling Jessica to hopefully get us a response. If I did not stay on top of the time lines I honestly think they would forget about us. Lender needs to do better.

House really looks great and price worthy

Overall, this was a messy process especially for first time home buyers. The amount of documentation we needed to provide and explained at times seemed very excessive. Just wasn't a smooth or exciting experience. We ended up getting through it and in the end we love the home we bought, but the process overall was not pleasant and at times we felt like quitting. That said, there are people who we interacted with especially after the process who really stand out and made landing in the new home a great experience. One of the 1st to buy and last to move in because they failed to preplan and see that the pole in my lot needed to be moved, took 2 yrs for me to move in and because it was rushed there have been all sorts of issues with the house. It's no wonder there have been several Class Action Lawsuits brought against them!

progress on the house was pushed back 2 times and then when it came to the end of the month they pushed us in due to rate locks even though the house was not finished to our liking. We went to 3 separate walk throughs and items on our punch list were not taken care of and a month into living here have still not been taken care of or even discussed when the work would be done. They contract out all the finishing work and this was not up to par by far! Base boards have paint run and over spray all over them. nail holes are still exposed and not covered up. corners of the baseboards are not flush or are clumped with paint overall looking terrible. All doors and door frames have chips or holes from the nails that were not filled prior to paint. Areas of the texture on the walls are missing in some spots or over splattered in some. The wrong paint was used in some areas and some areas not even painted at all. Overall finished product was rushed and the Superintendent didn't even look over the final product to even give the okay on the walk through. It was embarrassing to see that many tape marks through the house and between the walk throughs minimal things were addressed. almost as like they just removed tape and didnt think we would check to see if it was fixed. Still embarrassed to invite people over to my "brand new house" with it looking like i hired some random joe off the street to complete this work. Unacceptable! ... More

Everything was going good until we got close to the end of closing and we had an issue with Richmond lending team. We were easily approved and funded with our original lender and he pushed us to look into Richmond because of possible incentives so we did and decided to work with them. But 3 days before closing they came back and said we were not approved even though we signed and filled out all paperwork in the time leading up with no communication from them that we had an issue. Luckily we went back to my original lender and he got us approved and funded within 2 weeks. The whole process seems like their lending exam doesn’t want any business as what they did was unprofessional. And we have been in our home for a little over 60 days and we still have things within the home to be followed up on and finished and ave not heard from anyone from Richmond to get this done. Hey also provided us with a customer service number magnet for the fridge and it is basically worthless as nobody ever answers the phone nor do they call back if you leave a message. ... More

Our closing date was changed twice due to missing electrical and gas meter. Moving my family from the far side of the state, made our experience even worse on so many levels. After the final walkthrough and after we moved in, we noticed a few items that still have not been addressed. For example, we have a temporary oven. Still waiting for the one we ordered, in the laundry room the wrong fuse amp was installed. Its supposed to be 20 amp instead of 15, therefore we haven't washed our clothes going 2 weeks! The laundry room cabinet is partially installed, front porch light is not functioning, in the garage there's cement splatter in the corner, the owners bathroom medicine cabinet neets to be textured and painted. It was great overall. However, it would have been better if I was informed that there is no internet service in the community before moving it. It's been a month without internet.

Seamless process from start to finish.As first time home buyers,We had a great experience with Richmond American Homes. We had a good deal with them. We love the house features its interior and exterior design layouts. Expansive open concept from kitchen to great room with center-meet sliding patio doors. Ample huge windows that allows natural light in and many more to mention. Richmond staffs provided quality service throughout this entire process. We were given a great overview of what to expect with our home purchase, great follow-up, and timely service. The construction team was phenomenal. We had a great walk-through of our home. Sales experience was pleasant but a lot of issues with the house such as carpet, caulking, stucco, paint and drywall all done very poorly all of which have not been resolved. Past the 30 days no one has reached out to fix any issues.

Overall- Good experience. Sales man Greg was great as well as Tracey with the home gallery design center .

The new Cityscapes here are totally amazing and beautiful! The community is such a lovely warm quiet place.

This was my second time buying a new build and it was a much better experience compared to my first one. Richmond staffs were amazing and professional. My home was completed earlier than I expected. I am satisfied with the quality of my home. Thank you Richmond America!!!

Tried contacting Homewaranty for issue with pin holes in the floor grouting all over my new home, I acknowledge of being a Holiday weeks and was given 10 working days for replies until up to date. No respond from the Honewaranty and we're unable to properly moved my furniture until the grout problems is resolved.. POOR RESPONS FROM RICHMOND AMERICAN TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUES.. Also after 5 days of occupying my homes without my furnitures the AC system went down with issues with the equipment. REPRESENTATIVE I TALK WITH TRY TO BLAME ME FOR THE PROBLEM SHE SAYS THAT BECAUSE INFAILED TO CHANGE THE AC FILTERS,WICH I WAS TOLD BY THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO REPLACE IT 1 TO 2 MONTHS AFTER WE MOVED IN JUST FOR PRECAUTIONS.. Responsive, great piece of customer care

Had a lousy time dealing with the underwriters very lengthy plus the loan process equally, the home came with no ceiling fans or garage door openers or outside garage lighting and needed quite a few touch ups. Block wall had a big gap on corner back yard.and they used flat paint on most of the house except bathrooms
