From the beginning at just looking at houses until now and the future the whole experience has been very easy. First the sales staff was very casual and not pushy at all. Made you feel very comfortable when looking and not pressured or hurried. Just professional. When we finally decided on the lot we had been looking at 2 different lots before deciding. No pressure. It was just pointed out the good points of each. We closed pretty quickly, 6 weeks, not by request it was just that fast. The day of walk through we sat down with Vicki. After that meeting I came out shaking my head. I couldn’t believe what else the house had. Vicki explained very throughly about the Smart features of the home. Amazing! I had no idea when purchasing all the Smart features it had. All included in the price. I could sit on my couch and see the front door. Amazing! Vicki explained about the apps and controls in the home. Then we did our walk through with her and she explained again when showing how they work. Who does that kind of thing? YES SHEA DOES. I was so impressed with the whole process. If we had bought a previously lived in house none of the Smart features would be there. Also the follow up. One month later we had appointment with Shea to see if we had any problems that needed fixing. Seems they follow with you for the first year. Who does that? AMAZING. And Vicki, is the best person I have ever worked with. She followed up with us after and follows through on what she says and gets things done. Our home is beautiful and so well built. No problems really. QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY ! I spoke to my Dad who was 97 years old. He had a large floor covering business in Orange County, Ca. He dealt with a lot of contractors because he put in the counters and floors in many subdivisions. He had worked with Shea homes in the past. He remembered Shea homes as being one of the best. Confidence and peace of mind are the biggest attributes of my Shea home. I observed the building process every step of the way and was impressed by every detail of quality that was put into my new home. I know it is the highest quality, with tight tolerances, no corners were cut, no gaps in the trim, no missing paint details. The trades were all exceptional, the design center is extraordinary with the people they have to help and the choices you can make. The warranty follow up and the attentiveness after purchase is just as great as it was during the building and buying process. My experience with Shea homes has been wonderful. Buying and building this home has been quite a challenge. In the past I was blessed to have a wonderful husband by my side to share all the decisions that needed to be made. This time, however, I was flying solo. Shea helped make this process much easier by helping me every step of the way. I really appreciate the process they have in place to ensure everything is taken care of and nothing falls through the cracks. All of my questions were answered and all of my calls are always returned promptly. Unfortunately there were many delays in the process but I was always kept informed of the reasons for the delay. When it came to the closing, communication was very helpful regarding wiring money, help with utilities, appointment reminders, etc. The Home Warranty was a great help. Any issues that came up after I moved in were quickly resolved. I am very pleased with the quality and the workmanship that is in my home. I also can speak very highly of all of the individuals I’ve met during this process. From the initial contact to the design meeting, general construction manager, and all of the other individuals involved with my home, everyone has been very professional, helpful, genuine, honest, and friendly. My husband and I renovated an old farm house and have built two custom homes in the past. These experiences were very stressful and made me question if I would ever build a home again. Had Excellent experience from initial purchase to till final move in entire process was excellent. I recommend SheaHomes.com excellent in complete process and quality.

Sales interaction was super, supportive, personable and trustworthy. Always available and helpful when need. Construction was to notch, great experience very interactive, supportive, anweso updates/communication and trustworthy. Always made sure I felt heard and connected. Was very professional and able communication was Awesome!. The construction manager Rocked! Inspection, I happen to arrive while house was going through on of the inspection. It was a great interaction and experience. I was treated and immediately connected with and answer all the questions I had. Warranty, great interaction, very supportive, very responsive , and I feel like me and my family is being care for. Low voltage, meeting was average, but informative and helpful. There aresome things that should have been done better as far as install for the quality of the house the Shea builds. Financing, was very cumbersome, poor communication, disconnected. I complained about my experience to the sales team. I never had a difficult experience like I did with Shea mortgage. As a retired builder I appreciate the guality and attention to detail as well as warranty follow up. My home was a spec and I’m very satisfied with almost everything. Two suggestions: 1) every great room should include a floor outlet 2) The appliance package should include a better refrigerator. The Whirlpool side by side is junk. Terrible lack of space and real shortage of shelves. Charge more and include French style.

I have purchased many homes over the years but never was I so impressed with the quality of construction as Shea. Every member of the team from sales to customer service was terrific to work with.

From start to finish it was the best experience we ever had building a home. Location was the key. The salesperson worked with us from Day 1 to make sure we got what we needed. The construction manager had great communication and made sure we were satisfied. The design people were nice and knowledgeable. The Closing activities were very smooth. We can see why they are the #1 builder.

My first Shea home was 20 years old, a resale and I completely renovated it. Solid and well constructed. My current home is a new build and so far its been a wonderful experience. The Shea team is super responsive, friendly, and action oriented. Everything you want in a builder when you are buying a home.

I have live in 8 homes during my adult years, half of them brand new. This new built Shea home is the best quality home of them all.

I bought my condo about three months ago, and I'm very happy with my purchase of a Rooftops at the Dunes. My family and friends have also been very impressed and complimentary. (I chose a one-story, 2-bed unit instead of one of the "rooftop" units with views.) - The location is terrific (I can walk to a beautiful beach that's never crowded, I can walk to restaurants and stores of all sizes, I can walk to two different gyms, I can walk to bars and a movie theater, and I can walk to a Montage medical center). - There are plans in the works by the city of Marina to add an incredible aquatic center within walking distance, to add a giant kid's playground, to add a big transit center within walking distance and more. - The value is the best on the peninsula (luxury living at the beach for less than $1M) - The floorplan layout is smart. - The attached two-car garage is really nice. - The appliances and cabinets are top-notch. - The workmanship is high-quality. - The other condo owners are very nice. And they tell me they're thrilled, too. - The sales, warranty and service workers have been great. Lots of support during the sales and move-in process, with continued support and service well after. - The HOA dues are very affordable (I pay $440 per month). - The solar system saves me money on my electrical usage. - The built-in wi-fi transmitters are great. - There are complementary apps for controlling the lights, the HVAC, the Ring security system, the garage door, the locks on the doors, etc. - The complementary property insurance is a really nice benefit in this day and age when insurance in California is getting hard to find, let alone afford. I moved here from a big home in Carmel-by-the-sea. And I found nothing else on the peninsula that even came close to what I was able to get here at Rooftops at the Dunes. ... More

We have been blessed enough to build new homes but this was definitely the easiest process and the attention to detail has been outstanding, from design to project management to warranty. We would recommend Shea to anyone. You will get a team of professionals that sincerely care about your experience.

A little overwhelming for me as a single elderly woman. There is so much that needs to be done other than buying a home. I believe I've got most of it done but it has taken some time. I think the o ly disappointment I experienced was the new home owners meet. All the info given was great, but I thought I would get a chance to meet new neighbors. I think it would have been nice for people to introduce themselves and share a little.

This is our second Shea home! Our whole process has been exceptional! Our sales associate, Jasmine, was amazing! Ryan, our project manager, takes so much pride in the work he and his team do and it shows everywhere. Also, his communication was so refreshing through the whole building process. Ryan, our warranty specialist, has also been fantastic! He is so responsive to our needs, always very pleasant and knowledgeable. Beyond words, an overall fantastic experience! We saw something on Zillow that made us want to visit. Setting up the appointment was difficult as we were unable to connect with anyone to confirm the appointment. But, we came out to the sales office anyway. Lupita could see that an appointment had been made online, but not with her. No problem. She showed us around and we saw all the open homes that were available to us. We fell in love!
