I was pleased with the fact that after the contract and options were agreed upon, no additional surprise costs arose. Also, despite COVID, Shea was able to complete the home on time as scheduled.

Shea homes did an amazing job, from sales, to mortgage to customer care they knocked it out of the park. The team is absolutely amazing and if there are any issues they are on top of it. My only minor downfall is there are some areas of sloppy work done (by trades). There’s missing or streaky paint areas, work left incomplete and woth building a new home don’t expect it to be as clean as if you were buying someone else’s. There is construction dust, streaky windows an dirty window seals. But that’s all minor stuff. The overall quality and care they put into the home is phenomenal. We had a great experience with Laura on the sales side, and we’re probably here because of her forthrightness and good counsel, Ron our construction supervisor was very responsive, honest, helpful and delivered a great product, and Neal, our customer service representative, is a delight to work with and gets done what needs to be done to put the high gloss polish on our new home.

We are very pleased with the design and layout of our new home. The overall quality is very good. This is the second Shea home we have owned and would recommend them to anyone

The entire experience from day one to day of closing was pretty right on. All very pleasant and professional and treated me and my family with respect

If the homebuyers are going to contract their own landscape company, I would strongly advise them to submit their plans once the framing has been completed. It was a nightmare for us when we moved in trying to get our plans approved. We were not doing anything outside of lawn and a few plants. It took us four attempts to get our plans approved. It really caused a lot of anxiety when we first moved in and for the first month and a half, and we were not enjoying the experience. If it wasn't another tree or bush needed, it was too much lawn, or heighth on mounds, etc. . In measuring (literally) many existing lawns around us, ours was actually smaller in SF. Wendy kept talking about "they" want this or that, and some of her demands were trivial and very frustrating. We did read the landscape guidelines and were not planning anything out of the ordinary for this neighborhood. Aimee our salesperson has been wonderful. I understand why she is successful, because she is there for the buyer as well as the owner. ... More

I love Shea Homes! From Sales to the Superintendent, to Customer Service... always available for questions and very responsive.

We did not spend much (hardly any) time reviewing the options or what we were getting. (I know, dumb.) We simply trusted that Shea would go a great job and build a quality home. We were not disappointed. :)

The number of models and construction options made choosing hard but very satisfying, We got what we wanted. The design center was very helpful in completing our house. Even with a pandemic, Shea kept us informed throughout the construction process and met every benchmark.

Trilogy/Encanterra is a beautiful community filled with lovely homes and people. The staff at Shea were (and are) great to work with and the value you receive for your home buying money is outstanding. I highly recommend this place be put on your list of possibles..... once you drive through the main gate and then tour the model homes and the grounds..... well, lets just say: "resistance if futile". This place will definitely get your attention.

The house is beautifull from the display but once you settle in things begin to appear out of place. I give an overall 3-star experince because the sellers witheld critical information or bully me after I signed the deal and found issues that needed correction and overall poor concept. For example, the guy that handed over the keys did not explain the working of anything in the smart home, shifting the responsibility to white glove that also did not deliver as promised. Same guy became hostile when I pointed out bulbs hanging from the ceiling in bathroom and closet saying the house was sold as is!!!! I have since realized the sprinkler system was broken, the dish washer storing water from the sink, several (about 10) bulbs sparking and blinking when turned on, 6 dead bulbs, security sensors on windows prevent fully opening curtains making it a shady job. The house is drowning in water from broken sprinkers (and maybe pipes as well) because moisture level about one foot high has appeared on the backwall of the house and fence, and the ground is extremely wet that water can be squeezed out of it. It looks like a known problem that was concealed and sprinklers turned on only during the short buying process. This particular problem should have been disclosed before signing as the soil has gradually become saturted with water. Empire's white glove technician stole all equipment and did not install Ring citing "no equipment on site" and has not returned it after my realtor ask them to bring it back. The technician also could not explain the working of the sound system and sprinkles. The design of the house is flashy but poorly conceived. Example placement of the dinning area is a complete failure, facing the toilet! The house does not receive enough natural light to not use lighting in the living area, kitchen and dinning area during the day due to shading of windows by a poorly spaced 2 storey neighboring building. Make sure to take a tour with lights on and out in order to assess the lighting situation of certain areas of the house. As a new home owner I feel taken advantage of and a bridge of trust and transparency as some of the problems only became apparent after signing a house that they say "was sold as is". ... More

All involved from sales to construction to post construction did a good job.

Good company for first time home.

It would’ve been helpful for us to be able to speak with some recent home owners For options. The sales and design people are helpful but depending upon who you work with you will get different answers or explanations of options. I would never use Shea’s landscaping people again as the work is very poor and expensive. I would also get basic flooring and pay to have an outside company redo the floors for about 1/3 the cost Otherwise the home is beautiful seems well-built And the neighborhood is outstanding

Overall I believe Shea builds a very good home. But my opinion There were too many issues incomplete from our walk thru. the exterior painting of the house, the service garage door, our kitchen counter top stained, too many wrong color paint on patch ups, cabinets with scratches marks that are very visible, crack in bathroom sink. I expected more of the walk thru items completed.

This was our first home purchase that was a new build and everything about our new home is just fantastic. Great quality by SHEA.

Great experience...nice people to work with...good team work. A few explanations could have been explained a little better, not living in this environment before, but all in all, very satisfied and pleased.
