Our brand new fridge did not work, four rooms of our home only had primer on walls and was not painted until two months after we moved in. We had to move all furniture and walk hangings again. Many other issues. Very unhappy with how all of this was taken care of.

Totally amazed that Shea didn’t insure that WI Fi cable after occupancy was still not available.. A builder as large as Shea should have put pressure on Frontier to make sure new residents had service…

Ongoing construction around me is difficult. The construction fence pushing people to walk thru my yard and smashing my plants is distressing. The loud music is annoying. Better design would include a solar tube in the dark master bath, counter garbage disposal button instead of under sink and thin grout lines (instead of 1/2inch white) in the floor. No real designer would put wide white grout in the floor.

Recently I took delivery of a new home build by Shea. The design fit my needs and the home is nicely laid out. After some annoying delays with the city power, I tool delivery in the fall of 2022. On the whole the home turned out well, but there were areas of quality control that got missed or were ignored. I encountered some poor stain work and finishing on the cabinets, damage to appliances, interior and exterior paint and finishing issues and some electrical issues. I am going to begin with the positives. I am very pleased with the results of our home. I was very pleased with the responsiveness of the construction manager, Ryan. Ryan was also dedicated; however I feel the crew’s were spread too thin with over 30 new builds going at the same time. This resulted in multiple details being overlooked. Our punch list at the time of our walkthrough prior to closing was extensive with more than a dozen items. The most serious items were three separate previously undetected gas leaks. Shea did a great job of overpromising and under delivering. I’ve asked for 10 to 15 items to be fixed. A couple have been and haven’t heard from anybody in three weeks. Pretty pathetic.

I purchased approx 10 plus residential homes, and Sheahome delivered the poorest house quality I have ever purchased. I think I requested 5-6 warranty services within one month.

The post sale representative doesn't do his best job to inspect and verify if the issues have resolved. The manner is subpar and I don't feel respected as a shea home owner.

Do not use Shea Mortgage. We dealt with many mess ups and rudeness like they were doing us a favor. No customer service. And no continuity or communication between the sales team, closing team, finance team, customer representative teams. You need to be the project manager for all of them which is surprising given the size of the company.

As a real estate agent myself, I have more experience dealing with builders than a normal person. This is by far the worst experience I had. People working there are rude, inconsiderate, and negligent. The rep mistakenly refunded my deposit, which I had rewire the fund and pay for the wire and returned wire fees. During the set time of closing, I was very sick under Covid. They were not willing give me an extra day to complete the transaction and threaten me to add penalty and forfeited my deposit. It was a terrible home-buying experience in every way, from beginning to end and even beyond. More than 2 months after closing, items that needed correcting and were brought up during our final walk-through have still not been corrected.
