The design meets our needs. Our problems have been with appliances; we would have made different choices in that area. The Warranty Team has been great, responding quickly and skillfully.

We could not be happier with our new home. Walking into a Brand New Home with our custom finishes and our preferred color pallet has just been amazing. The golf course and ocean views during the day are breathtaking and seeing the Monterey Peninsula lit up at night is really special. In addition the entire team at Shea has been great to work with. It’s not just about building homes for them, they are building a community.

The sales team made our buying experience very enjoyable. We have had support whenever we needed issues addressed at our home. The quality of our building is outstanding and I don’t think you can get anything better for the price that we paid. All of the restaurants and shopping so close by is plus for this development.

We have now bought 4 houses from Shea Homes in the last 15 years, and this was probably the best experience yet. We initially put our deposit on a model we were going to buy and then rent out, but as we saw the newer and bigger models they were building, we requested to move our deposit to a bigger home, so we sold our current (Shea) home and made the move to the bigger unit. All the builder representatives in Sales and the Construction crew were extremely accommodating throughout the entire 10 month process as we watched the home get built.

Both Miriam and Tamara were very helpful in giving me any information I needed.

Smart home features and operation can be overwhelming particularly for non-tech oriented people. Be prepared for steep learning curve on some things.

The sales team and the lead construction guys were very helpful and accommodating when discussing and showing us the progress of our home build. There is a lot to learn about the new smart house and the team is continually helping us learn the nuances.

The Shea Homes team members are very professional and quick to respond to questions or concerns. In the current real estate market, purchasing a home can be a very stressful and daunting process. Buying through Shea Homes took all the stress off of bidding wars, losing offers, and all the other issues in buying a pre-existing home. My experience with Shea was very good from start to finish of home. Communication was great and no issues with Shea's responsiveness. Was given the name of a job site foreman who kept me posted along the way of construction, which included several walk throughs of the home before it was completed. I highly recommend Shea as a home builder.

It was a great experience buying the Shea home in Dunes. The build quality was top notch, and the mistakes were quickly corrected. We knew this going in because we already bought a Shea home in the past. The sales staff here at the Dunes took care of the preliminary requirements and guided us all through the purchase process. Most commendable was the staff that took care of fixing the construction defects. Isaac was always available to address our concerns and he showed us how to make the most of the features of the house. Good experience so far, I’ve only been at the home 10 days in the last 21/2 months. Minor improvements would be great I.e. soft close hinges on all cabinet doors, soft closing toilet seats, options for ceiling fans in the living and dining rooms. Little details make a big difference.

The sales team was good. Pricing above market with initial homes seems like initial home buyers should be made whole with some upgrades. Or rebates . Lack of upgrades relative to model homes is unusual. We’ve bought two prior new homes and the builders were happy to offer us upgrades.. thesewe are profane of happy with the technology and remote app abilities of the home.

The Shea reps at the Enclave sales center were professional and helpful (Tamara and TJ). The experience at the Livermore design center was outstanding. Kristin was knowledgeable, professional and patient. The construction manager for my home, Dave, was courteous, professional and very accommodating. The Shea rep who did the walk through, Octavio, was outstanding and very responsive to my questions and concerns. I appreciate his help in everything he did, including the 30 day walk through. My primary complaint is that Shea homes is not very flexible in the options for their homes (for example, the use of hardwood on the stairs is not allowed), or making simple custom modifications (for example, widening a bedroom doorway for wheelchair access). ... It has been a great experience purchasing my Shea home. Everyone we've met from the sales office to the service team is very professional and helpful, except for Michele in the Design office (I believe she is a VP of some sort), who told me to rethink if this is the right home for me when I requested some minor design changes during the design phase.
