Excellent home buying experience but when it comes to after sales service we are very disappointed

Representatives were easy to work with and followed up fast on promises made .

As builders go they are one of the best.

The experience can be overwhelming, Shea homes definitely did everything they could to assist in lessining the burden.

Very good communication and pleasant throughout

We love our beautiful new home. However- You cannot expect perfection and when a couple of minor issues surfaced with our new home- James our CS rep was on it. Bringing in trades ri make it right - right away. Our home is beautiful and we love it- everyone at Shea from sales to construction supervisors to customer service represent quality and responsiveness. We felt cared for and prioritized. It was a smooth process- everyone says building a house is stressful- not for us- it was fun and exciting with Shea!

I relocated to the Houston area from out of state and everyone: sales, finance, the construction manager, management, & title company are great to work with. Once we got settled in it was like family, the construction manager checked on us until we were passed to home warranty department, which is very responsive, and quickly addressed any concerns we had. Everyone that entered my home has been a pleasure to work with. I love my home, neighbors and the community pool area /playground. This has been a great experience because of the Shea Team! You won't be disappointed.

Shea's approach has been very professional. They kept us well informed throughout the process. The onsite sales staff was always very helpful and answered our questions without hesitation. Finally, they worked very hard to meet their stated project timelines and our house was completed on time as committed.

This is our first home in USA and we could not ask for better!! From day 1 which is visiting the sales office our experience has been amazing. The support and professionalism shown by Shea staff stands out than any other we have heard or seen. The crew (sales, construction, mortgage etc.) have been really helpful. House is build to meet all the regulatory requirements and codes so one can sleep peacefully. I am really grateful to Shea team as even with the issues faced due to pandemic and winter storm they managed to get the house ready before estimated time. Overall, experience was pretty good.

Overall decent for the price but 2 major issues. - The walls thickness are probably at minimum allowed by the state law, according to another Builder that I have asked. Apparently some builders are trying to save money on materials so they cut back on building homes the proper way. The sound travels easily through the Walls, I mean literally any sound. I could be in the master bedroom brushing my teeth and someone in the kitchen can hear my electric toothbrush!!I can even hear my Neighbors talking at night from inside their house. No, they’re not being loud typical conversation, cuz I can literally tell. - They claim their homes are energy efficient and windows are sealed pretty tight. Definitely neither are true. Yes they have led lights for all their light bulbs, but that’s about it. If I can smell my neighbors bbq with my windows and doors closed that’s not air tight nor energy efficient. ... More

The builder was very thorough and encouraged me to report any deficiencies. He wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied with my home!

I am a first time home buyer and the thought of building a home with all the decisions was frightening experience, so I thought. The team at Shea Homes gave me something more valuable than a home. They gave my wife and I piece of mind throughout the entire home buying experience. From home financing, closing and warranty period. Shea Sales, mortgage, construction and Customer Service all worked as a unified team that made the buying experience exciting, fun, with confidence and yes most of all piece of mind that all the details were being taken care of by Shea. How would you describe the quality and value of your new home? The quality of the home I purchased has been good. There has been some small items that you would expect needed attention but Shea fixes things quickly and it's done right. We have received so many compliments on our new home both exterior and interior. There are two areas I wish Shea would improve on and that is following up with HomePro for the Shea Connect and Wiesenbaker for the design. I felt very confused during this part of the home building process. Meaning, it was difficult to understand the responsibilities between HomePro and Shea when it came to setup and installation and the design process is lacking a true designer that is innovative. The designer we had just gave us basic standard choices and provided very little advice to implement our vision. I think Shea should look at improving the process at the design center. Overall, I am very satisfied and pleased the way my new home was built and how it turned out. If you are looking for a quality builder that does things right, and on-time with quality and great customer service, then Shea is the builder for you. customer service is good, as I move here, if I have any issue, customer service response quickly and do it fast

The quality in the house is great and finishing of the house is awesome. Very much appreciated.

Octavio was the person who delivered the house to us. He has always checked on us from the start to make sure our transition was smooth. He took the time to get to know us personally and made sure any issues we found after move-in were resolved in a very quick manner. I even told him that he seemed to take care of our home like it was his! We are very happy with the loan process and all the tips June gave us to make sure we had the best rate when closing out. Great experience, and the home is beautiful!

Being a first time home buyer I didn’t know what to expect, there are so many steps and things needed it can be overwhelming at times. Shea Holmes and my Relator guided me through the whole process. Building the home was supper fast! Started the process in October moved in in March! Half the home (bones) was already built when we started in oct so it just needed to be customized. During the appointment to customize your home I would highly recommend writing down the names of the tiles and paint colors you pick out as I did not and was given the wrong kitchen backsplash. Since I signed off on the paperwork assuming i had trust that my choices were correct nothing had pictures of the tiles just names when I signed and I couldn’t change it once it was done now I’ll have to pay for it to be redone. So make sure you know the names to match them up when you sign your final. Other then that one issue the rest of my home buying experience was great and I would do it again. I love my home. ... More

Going through the process, from start to finish, with Shea Homes was extremely simple for us as first time homebuyers. They did a great job of keeping us updated along the way so we knew what to expect and when.

The builders are very nice and professional. They were very transparent about everything. They’ll listen to your concerns and suggestions and will do their best to incorporate it in your home. I couldn’t ask for a better quality service

The sales team And engineering team was really professional and very much informed in each stage.They treated customers very well.
