The process was long due to Covid and the problems with materials and lead times. Shea representatives were always able to talk to even if the news from them wasn't what you wanted to hear. They did the best they could with the trades available to complete the home and make the required fixes. We love the design, feel, and function of the new home tremendously.

We received adequate updates during the build of our new home. We appreciated the quick responses to our questions & concerns.

The overall buying experience was great. What I do think could have been improved is the oversight of the contractors. For our particular home there were some serious plumbing issues that had to be resolved right after closing. I understand that they work with a lot of contractors, but these types of things need to be caught and addressed before closing ideally. The sales team were amazing and always diligent in responding back to our questions/concerns. We never felt pressured to buy or forced to buy and they were always transparent of the entire process. Sales (April) were very helpful; would like to have had more flexibility in design phase. We had had experience in designing a custom home so this was a disappointing experience

The picking out of the options was difficult and not very flexible. Home structure is sound and Shea delivered our project pretty much on time even with the shortages the building industry is having at this time.

It is obvious Shea has been around, as a developer, for many years. Not only is the community plan laid out nicely, but the floor plans of each individual model make sense and function very well.

Overall a great experience, great quality and great service.

This Shea process is very well orchestrated but a few years behind in human needs and construction techniques and interior design and lighting opportunities. Most mechanical aspects are good but instant hot water is too far away from the delivery points and runs wasted water. Water lines in attic causing hot water rather than cold in hot weather. In interior design very little flexibility in choices and options along with vendors and time with designer. No options for lighting and wall plug locations. Landscape palette is not appropriate in many areas of varieties not regionally real in the setting. Sales not clear on interior color options and fron/side street frontage and rear yard setbacks for pools and equipment and landscape. Policy on two trees per rear yard is not enforced. Astroturfing or other fake grass should be outlawed as to heat gain and burning feet. Trash enclosure should be mandatory and areas between homes have tree requirements assisting in reflecting heat and producing shade and oxygen. Policy on maintenance of property line block walls and steel picket fencing need to be maintained by the Association. ... More

For us it was a no brained to go with a new build and we are so happy that it ended up being Shea.

Senior Sales agent Tarry is worth her weight in gold as is Field supervisor Armando. If I was still a general contractor, he would be my first hire!

Shea assigns you a person who does your walkthrough and is available for problems that come up. Each week they sent me a picture of the building progress of my home.

Please be aware of very expensive landscaping, that is not conveyed very well

Although the construction was delayed our reps were helpful and informative. Our sales rep Liz was good to work with. Everyone has been friendly and pleasant.

Our salesman person was outstanding. He was informative, friendly and always there to answer our questions

The location is fantastic... The quality, communication and sales efforts were first class! The upgrade process was grueling but worthwhile. A few glitches but that's expected! All in all, The Grove is a Homerun... and the folks are very professional to work with.

Generally speaking, I have good experience with the home purchase. Shea delivered the home on-time. However, there are lots of issues in the home. Just mention a few examples, such as air conditioning did not work because someone turned off the switch and we don't know where it is; doors are not properly polished and crooked, which we are still work with customer service to make correction; there are big holes under carpet, which just have been corrected. Paint needs to be touched due to either incomplete painting or have defects. I like your customer service personnel, who works with us closely to overcome the issues. Good overall experience. Be prepared to work with the builder after delivery on product and construction issues.

Love the Shea home product. Would recommend the area and Shea Homes to others.

If possible, ask for Joy as your supervisor. She was very good. She listened and made things happen on a timely basis.

We were lucky to have a very good, professional, quick responding general contractor. He seemed to be on top of situations all during the building process and again in the first year after closing.

Only in the property 2 months and we have no complaints. All stated schedules were met and the staff is excellent.

It’s very good experience. The sales people and site managers are good and helped us on timely manner. Only I am not satisfied is at design center. They didn’t even show options to choose and didn’t explained the options.. due to that I ended up with what ever they shown.
