I was told the build would be 12 months and it was 18. The workmanship is below average and quality control is non existent. Warranty service is a nightmare.

There was nothing positive about this building experience! It was a nightmare. Though out the precess there was little to no transparency for the buyer/owner. Moreover, and totally unacceptable, "operations" was uncaring of anyone's needs but its own. Nothing but extreme anxiety for us most every step of the way through out the process.

Dishonest sales office and supervisor. Lied about available floor plans in order to up sell. Lied about reasons for extensive delays and failed to take responsibility, simply blaming others for mistakes and problems. Disrespected me as a client. Failed to acknowledge my extreme disappointment with the entire home buying experience.

Will never buy a Shea Home again

My husband and I were excited to get the chance to finally purchase our first home, but since we decided to purchase from Shea the experience has gone downhill. First they force you to make choices about any upgrades within weeks with only one visit to a showroom in which the designer does not know the prices of any of the options. You then wait weeks more for pricing and have a few days to make the final choice, giving you no time to choose more options and properly price compare. I have built four homes with three different builders. My first home was with a very low end builder and was a much better experience than this. Working with Shea Homes has been by far the worst building experience I have ever had when building a home. I have had a real estate investment company for over 15 years. I have renovated sixplexes , triplexes, townhouses, and condos. Therefore, this is not my first rodeo however, it has been the worst rodeo I have ever had. Extremely disappointing New home Delivery

This is an extreme disappointment and grief I want to bring into your notice that we are facing each day since we have moved to our new house. There were lot of plumbing/ drainage issues each day at different corners of the house. The delivery of the house came with lot of problems that we did not expect at all with Shea homes. We trusted that home inspections are properly done by Shea at each point especially in plumbing and drainage matters. Grueling experience

The trades don't care and Shea has no control over them. Fit and finish is terrible. Took 30 days after closing to move in due to plumbing issues. Entire house had to be re-plumbed. Still waiting on fixes almost 3 months later. Love the community, builder not so much.

Don't buy from them. Rather buy a 100yr old house than a new one from these people. I guarantee ull have less issues. Only person was excellent was the sales guy and the warranty lady. Kindergartens could build a better house.

We are there 3 months now and still have NOT completed the "white-glove" instilation. Should not have that name. The options are limited......particullarly being forced to select items in a particular limited section, so we ended up with choices we don't like. Paid extra for wiring in the great room, but unable to use it since it's off center.... and now they won't fix it. Really? Buying experience is really bad with Shea homes. I booked home directly from builder when I qualified for 2.7% interest but with in 6 months everything changed in economy and interest rate went to 5%. When I asked for some relaxation/discount they weren't helpful or flexible instead they threatened to keep all my 70K deposit. Where as other builders like Pulte gave 20K discount also flexible with closing date to my friend who booked new house around same time. Services is really bad with Shea. They don't even care about customers once they sell the property. Please think twice before buying ...

We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with Shea Homes new build. The construction is subpar. Our escrow closed with many items incomplete and a promise that their “Warranty” Dept would take care of immediately. Well it has been 2 months and items still are not complete and we STILL HAVE NOT MOVED IN.

The whole build out process was terrible. The general contractors here are basically sales people and have a made up answer for everything you ask them. We’ve had numerous items that were on our addendum that we pointed out that weren’t there while we did our check ins during the build. Sent our sales rep and GC an email listing out all of those things. GC made up lies saying like our coach lights are wired, they bricked over it and they just need to cut it out. overall process - poor communication

waited 1 1/2 for a home only to find electrical items not working and loaner stove and garage door. Told another year or so ! Landscaper the worst dead plants and wrong even though we specifically noted plants we wanted and plants we did not planning on moving asap

Our home building experience was not great from the start. When we originally looked at the lot, we were given a base price which we verbally agreed upon. Then, when we went to sign our contract, the price raised $20,000. Our sales rep, Liz, never gave us a warning of a rate increase. In fact, she told us to come in on a Saturday before Monday so we would miss the price increase. Overall, very unprofessional. I would never a home again from this builder. The quality of home is substandard and they lied and overcharged. This builder is totally untrustwrothy. The sales agent, Cathy was extremely rude and impolite throughout the process. They have used cheap labor and materials throughout. Community feels like cheap throughout. We are extremely frustrated with the quality of the home. Never expected so many issues and we are pretty sure the issues with the kitchen will never be resolved. No one that can address them really seems to be concerned other then our warranty rep who has little control over the issues.
