Just minutes from the picturesque Fairhope pier and marina is the cities popular downtown area which is home to more than 80 boutique shops, art galleries, antique shops, and, restaurants. Every March, approximately 250,000 people will fill downtown to take part in the annual Arts and Crafts Festival, a juried art show featuring over 200 artist from across the country. For those looking to really see all that Fairhope and the Eastern Shore truly has to offer, there is the Eastern Shore Trailblazers Trail, a 33 miles walking and biking path. The Fairhope path begins on N. Section Street and ends at Marriott’s Grand Hotel. Once you arrive at the Marriott’s Grand Hotel, be sure to check out its history and beauty. The hotel first opened its doors in 1847 along the Mobile Bay. Today the hotel boost two golf courses, ten tennis courts, a large spa and beautiful scenery.
